Well I think it's a good time to bring this back up; the IOC is gonna vote this Friday at Copenhagen.

Chicago, Rio, Madrid, or Tokyo... which will it be?

Well, I think that either Chicago or Tokyo may host the 2016 Olympics. Madrid's a possibility too, but I think that there may be a rule about countries in the same continent hosting the Olympics within 4 years of eachother

I voted for Brazil. I just would like it if the 2016 Olympics were held in South America, since the 2012 games are going to be in Europe and the last games were held in Asia. Despite the fact I'm American, I don't think Chicago would be the most desirable venue. I understand it might turn the city's image around, but honestly, I think Brazil's the best bet.

EDIT: YES! RIO DE JANEIRO HAS CLAIMED IT! :D

Olympics are here. Haha, finally, to repay some historical injustice.
But, our country still needs to develop a lot, man
And, for the person who said that he/she wanted to see brazilians' culture more, I can make a summary of it: We're one hell of a mixed race, our colonizers were not the true genius in Portugal, instead, they were robbers and ****s. We prefer the "aparent peace" than to fight for the rights we have

Also, among the Latin countries, we're the only ones that still have a crown prince in its territories( Peter III(IV?) lives in the state of São Paulo), and we were the only ones to remain as a monarchy after getting independence, our king being the same one to Portugal. We server Portugal, Spain, England and now we're the lapdogs of the US and the developed countries, even though we have money enough to best Portugal and Spain, for example
Have you got enough, now?

In Antarctica.
Bud, I'd pay to see the Olympics there for sure. All we need to do is speed up global warming and hunt the remaining polar bears, and we're in business.

Seriously though, Brazil is a nice idea.

Why would we need to wait until global warming heats up the place? The weather is perfectly fine!

This has already been decided for Brazil so this topic has basically lost its use.

Locking and archiving.
