This guy definitely isn't a rock anymore.... Posts: 4,435 Group: Members Member #749 Joined: February 21, 2006 Gender Male	I believe that's all of them. Not entirely sure, though... Anyway, my best moments were with DW4 so that would be my choice. All modes were entertaining (especially the one where you had to fight in a dark room) and me and my friend never got bored with them. I'll never forget the archer duels with Huang Zhong and Xiahou Yuan ^_^.

Me and my brother spent hours and hours versing each other time and time again, it was a blast. Most it was all Sima Yi vs. Zhuge Liang fights, (I played Sima while my brother would select Zhuge), but sometimes we'd have a good laugh making silly edit characters, like Steven Segal (using the buff male model to make a poor version of the made-for-TV action movie "star"). Our favorite versus arena was the level on which you had to send more peons flying off a wooden wall then your opponent, while simultaneously attempting to knock your opponent off the wall as means to obstruct their own efforts. We'd have a good laugh, 'cause certain attacks would make your opponent fly further away from the wall then others. Sometimes, my brother would knock Sima Yi flying so fast, we'd see this little wooden sign on the ground when Sima Yi landed. On the sign was some sort of Japanese character, and I always wanted to know what it said, but we called it the "loser sign." :lol: But yes, I have a lot of good memories playing the versus modes... it's ever more enjoyable when you have someone who likes the games as much as you do to play with. I know that was quite a long story for simply discussing versus modes, heheh. EDIT: But oh! SW XL had some hilarious VS. modes too! There's that one where you and your opponent can sort of "drive" on top of canons and use them shoot each other. Whoever got to the biggest canon usually won, but it was so hilarious, seeing Hideyoshi or Ranmaru sitting on top of a canon. XD And then there was the arean with the spiked fences... my brother would always Yoshimoto and his Kemari charge attack would always knock my character into the spikes. I'll never forget the creepy taunting of Yoshimoto's, "Are ya ready? Are ya ready??"

Plus, you got 94 Characters to chose to fight which is a definite plus ^_^. Only thing I think it lacks is the variety to areas to choose from, not that it would affect much.

And there was that one-versus-one scenario where you hid in a dark room full of boxes lol. Quite entertaining for some time I guess. But I would either vote this game or DW3, since with 3 there was an extra person playing with us and I loved that 1vs1 dueling battle within the small spiked fence area and the you and 2 other officers versus your enemy and 2 others (or 3?). I guess my memories come more from DW3, as much as you would probably hate me saying so LoW. My brother gave up after that DW4 game, though eventually played DW5 for a small amount of time out of boredom, so it was no real versus (or memorable) battles for me from then on. sniff @Manji: You seem hyped! :ph43r:

Posts: 623 Group: Members Member #12,847 Joined: January 23, 2008 Gender Male	i would definetely say WO2 though i have only played it a few times at the London MCM expo but i would probarbly say this because of the new characters, updated characters and its got both DW and SW characters in which is soo awesome in second i would say DW3 because i like DW better than SW and this has better Vs modes than any other game i like the on where your the leader and you have officers yourself. it would be better though with the updated versions of them but up until september 19th this has been the Vs mode i have been using

The regular duel wasn't that bad, but i liked the dark ones better. It was much more fun finding finding my opponent and then nailing him if he didn't see me The protect the carriage thing was challenging too, and find the imperial seal was fun as well.
	The name's Pang Tong. I do what it takes to get the job done. Nothing more DW Strikeforce/ Pang Tong duel

I have State of War but I didn't play Vs DW3 was ok, Wu Territory was my favourite. DW4 was just awesome, loved all the modes in it. DW4 Empires was probably the second best of em all, pretty close to DW4, the third best IMO. SW1XL, was my favourite. The game itself was the hardest (even though DW4 was harder in unlocking 10th weapons) modes were pretty well made. Troops were more than '1 hit and you kill 5'. Lu Bu in Vs mode was also hilarious. My favourite in SWXL was the one where you have to kill troops before they pass, it was epic. Tadakatsu Vs. Keiji, playing with my bro as Keiji. Well, since he's the only one I play with, and I always own him with direct Vs games, he's only good at killing troops so that was challanging. Well, in general, Vs modes were awesome in all the DW/SW games, not that good for me as I usually play alone or with much younger/weaker friends.

My first Dw game was DW3 and me and my brothers had awesome times versing each other in VS mode for DW3. It was just really fun I'm really disappointed the newer games like DW 5 doesn't have it. Our favorite vs level was on Fan Castle.

Same here DW4 Empires was the best DW in therms of mini-games I also loved that game where you have to throw more opponets of the arena, it was really great fighting against my friend (he Zhao Yun, me Lu Bu) we spent some great worth hours playing that Mini-game. (By the way your attacks will send your opponent flying further as your life decreases, in critical life an powerful charge attack is devastating.) I also Loved the other mode, Survival (i think) were you will be on a locked arena almost full of poison water with your friend trying to see who could survive longer. Enemies will be coming from everywhere and at 100 enemies(Don't remeber) and oficer would come, each time stronger. I also liked the fight in the dark and the fight between officers (both DW4) And i can't wait to play WO2 Mini-games against my buddy! :ph43r:

I just remembered that SWXL's Vs. mode stages weren't same as in SW and Sugoroku from SW2 should be included as well. I didn't mind DW4E's Vs. either. Bridge Melee was my favorite since it was fun to see how me and my friend were flying in the air all the time :P. WO2 seems to be the most popular. I think I'm going to enjoy it's Vs. mode too. Finally I'm able to test DW5 and SW2 characters' attacks on my friends.

And also adding the knocking off game for WO2 was somewhat of a smart idea, since there is new approaches to attacking, and such. What really threw me off was Horse Racing, that was entirely new and was unexpected. [OffTopic] Randy make long post? :mellow:

Posts: 1,404 Group: Members Member #3,839 Joined: October 18, 2006 Gender Male	I chose DW4:E. I just thought that all the modes there were fun, yet ridcilusly hard, when fighting Lu Bu on Hard. Enjoyed the bridge melee style one the most because could fight your opponant in a very fun way. The DW3 Vs. was fun, expectialy the level with the spear fencing which hurt you hen you got near it. (Mt. Ding Jun I think...).
