I am in the middle of developing a new side-scrolling 2d hack & slash set during the sengoku era and would like to know what you'd like in this game. Questions are welcome as well. The Demo is out, download it here: http://www.yoyogames.com/games/show/70353

I think this sounds like an awesome idea. Maybe similar to the Warriors of Fate game, but with Sengoku Era people like Yukimura Sanada, Hanzo, and Masamune Date. Like Yukimura can have flame moves with his spear, Hanzo can use ninja techniques, and Masamune Date can uses pistols and swords. |

Good news, Mitsuhide-Kojiro-Sasaki has agreed to join this project, the guy who was a big part of the DW fan games. You can check out his games at yoyogames.com under the name Shadow Stadium. I'll snag a screenshot when I can. Also would you like a versus mode or a survival mode. |

Finally we have some screenshots of the games and I'm revealing 2 characters, Mitsuhide Akechi and Nobunaga Oda. We need 3 more Sengoku era characters who have lost major battles leading up to the time of Nobunaga's death. I would like to hear who you would think would be good to add and when we figure out the characters and have the story put together then we can have people do voices for the characters. Looking good. For the Sengoku Jidai knowledge try Shogun, SRS or Jodosendo Jikari, I know they know alot about that era. I'd recommend you have Takeda forces as I see they have the things you need. Maybe the Uesugi or the Mouri too. Can you have the Tokugawa arriving as reinforcements for the Oda? that would be awesome. |

Good, if they could give me 3 major battles prior to Nobunaga's death and the losing generals names and descriptions of who they were that would help so much, since the main character will participate and have to face these generals. |

I did some research and decided to adjust the timeline to be from The Honnoji Incident to Sekigahara. This means that you will probably fight Tadakatsu and Ieyasu, sound good? |

Here are the characters that will be in the game: Onima, Shadow Ronin, Mitsuhide Akechi, Nobunaga Oda, Tadakatsu Honda, and Ieyasu Tokugawa. There will be a single-player story mode and a 2-player versus mode. Story will have 3 paths, beating each unlocks a new fighter for versus mode. |

If you have any ideas or questions about the game, don't hesitate to ask.I'm thinking about adding finishers in versus mode, like if you get a perfect you will perform some sort of fatality. I might be taking line readings soon for the characters voices, so keep that in mind. If you haven't already, check out the screenshots posted here and leave a comment. |

Well I currently don't have my computer, but until I can get one I'll work on the things that don't require one such as working on the story and script. So to thst end I will start having voice auditions in the Voice Actors thread since I know you guys are looking for something and thought that you guys would love actually being in a videogame. |

Well, I've tried posting 3 times in the VA thread, but every time I try to post reply it tells me that the forum does not exist. Anyway the 1st character up for audition is Nobunaga. That's okay, any type of ideas or input would be helpful too. Look through this thread and if there is something that you think would be cool to add or augment for the game post it. I'm still not sure how to do the versus mode, but any input or interest is very motivating and appreciated. |

Well if you do end up creating a female character, I wouldn't mind providing the voice. I did some work for the KW Gathering promo vids earlier this year. Voice of Da Ji, baby!

Yeah, I remember that. Your Da Ji was flawless. Like I said I'm open to suggestions, keep in mind that the game starts at Honnoji and ends at Sekigahara, so if there is a female she has to fit within that time period. Off my head I think of Noh. Whoever it is they must die in story. |

This game is completely original and has no connection to the KOEI games. So whoever does the voices should do their own interpretation of the characters. I till you it is alot of fun reimagining these characters, in one of the screenshots you can see Mitsuhide. |

So after much careful consideration, I have found my way to adding Noh seamlessly into the story. Those who wish to voice her can send in their auditions using this line: There appears to be an intruder. Spearmen, go forth and destroy the trespasser! |
