I'm dissapointed guys, I thought you guys would enjoy voicing the characters, but if no one wants to I'll just voice them myself 'cept for Noh. If I don't get any auditions for Noh I'll have to cut her character.

I worked on the storyboard yesterday and got to stage 3, area 2. That means that both Nobunaga and Noh will need voices. Here are Noh's: It appears we have an intruder. Spearmen, go forth and destroy the trespasser./You will not get to my lord so easily. Also I will need a death rattle. Now for Nobunaga: So, Mitsuhide has betrayed me./ It is useless to resist!. Also I need 2 attack sounds like for example 'Hyah!' or something like that and a death rattle. Edited by Nragemachine, Oct 30 2008, 08:24 PM.

The other male characters up for audition are Tadakatsu and Ieyasu, but I haven't written anything that far yet.

It's really simple to figure out and edit/clean your sound clips. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ As for background sound, if you have a fan going, it can sometimes be picked up on the microphone. Just make sure that when you're recording it's relatively silent and you don't have any noisy machines running in the room.

Maybe it's because I'm using a laptop and the Mic I used was one of those old speak into kinds that Radioshack sold.

Just make sure you speak directly into the microphone to get a good clear sound. Also, increasing the volume on the microphone input always generates better sound quality: Though it's best not to have it ALL the way up, or your voice might sound a bit crackly. Keep in mind this game is still very early on in production, but here is the Versus character select menu thus far (Try to guess who the other 2 characters are on the bottom): EDIT: So I just listened to your lines Manji and they're dynamite! Very nice, but I would also like a death rattle too. Jsun, not bad fella. I might deepen your voice a tad if/when I use it so that Nobunaga sounds older if that is okay. Or you could try to do them again with a gruffer voice. Anyways thanks for your participation guys, it might be a while before you see your characters in action, but I will always be updating.
