Note that any that are not mentioned is because I've forgotten by mistake or haven't seen or heard that character yet. WO = Warriors Orochi DW6 = Dynasty Warriors 6 Shu Liu Bei WO Guan Yu WO (it sounds like Liu Bei's DW6 VA the more I hear it...) Zhang Fei WO Zhao Yun WO Wei Yan WO (so hard to tell lol...) Zhuge Liang WO Yue Ying WO Jiang Wei WO Guan Ping WO Ma Chao WO Xing Cai WO Huang Zhong DW6 Wu Sun Jian WO Sun Ce WO Sun Quan WO Da Qiao WO Xiao Qiao WO Ling Tong WO Lu Xun WO Zhou Yu WO Zhou Tai DW6 Taishi Ci WO SSX WO Huang Gai WO Lu Meng (new voice, its a generics voice that could well sound familiar to fans.) Katsuie Shibata (new voice, I can't seem to figure if its from a previous voice actor or not. In my opinion, its his worst yet.) Kojiro Sasaki (new voice, extremely quiet, hard to understand because of this, and his voice from words sounds very alike to Zhang He.) Toshiie Maede (new voice, DW6 Liu Bei's voice actor.) Nagamasa Azai WO Oichi WO Hanzo Hattori WO Magoichi Saika WO Motochika Chosokabe (new voice, sounds younger than his unfitting (?) deep voice from SW2XL. Its got a rough tone to it. It does sound like a good enough replacement.) Sakon Shima WO Musashi Miyamoto WO Yoshimoto Imagawa WO Mitsuhide Akechi WO Tadakatsu Honda WO Goemon Ishikawa WO Kunoichi WO Warriors Orochi Da Ji's has returned. Orochi has a new voice and shares it with Shin Orochi who is now named Orochi X. New WO2 character voice descriptions (my opinion): Himiko has a great voice actor here. None of her actions or quotes have made me think otherwise. Surprised to be honest. She sounds like a young girl, too. Sun Wukong's voice is super. He sounds too alike Goku's voice actor from the anime DBZ that its too hard to except! Could well possibly be him in fact. The more I hear it, the more I can hear Goku. I'm sure most will agree. Kiyomori Taira's actor is Guan Yu's WO2 with an echo to it. Taigong Wang's voice sounds young, his personality making him 'supreme' and very cocky (as stated by Ieyasu in the game. :P) Yoshitsune Minamoto has a young heroic voice, as fitting as Yukimura's is to him. A great voice and vocal performance. Nu Wa has a lovely feminine voice. Fu Xi shares the same VA as Sakon Shima. Sounds heroic and confident, just like Sakon. I believe it to be the better of the two. This sounds more natural from the voice actor and makes Sakon's sound forced.

Posts: 6,846 Group: Admins Member #3,636 Joined: October 5, 2006 Gender Male	Yes, there is a few I haven't heard much from like Nene or haven't seen yet like Nouhime and Gan Ning, etc. As you can see these are from WO and DW6. I guess this is Koei's current voice acting and at its best. The likes of Xu Huang and Cao Pi's have returned from DW6 because that DW5 voice actor for those two characters is no longer with us. So I don't think Koei are purposely switching back and forth, but because these are the only available. Its a bit clearer now it seems.

Gracia's new voice, suits her IMO. Himiko & Sun Wukong have awesome voices! Isn't Zhou Tai's VA the same as Guan Yu's? It's definatly different. Other than that, the voices are OK, but they need more emotion, rather than sounding staright off the script. (Try Ginchiyo...)

And if you say that's Xiahou Yuan, that's Xiahou Yuan. I can't seem to remember myself. Gan Ning from WO returns. Lu Meng now has a generic voice that would be familiar to most fans. I do not understand why though, I enjoyed his performance in DW6.

I've only heard a few clips, but you have played the game. So, in action, which was better? One more question, how do the Dodomeki and Gyuki sound like?

And yes its the same ol' Hideyoshi aka Bugs Bunny as before...I was kind of expecting Wukong to sound like it, too. But hooray it didn't happen! @Crimonsdramon: When I first heard it, I didn't like it as much, its what I thought. Though I can't tell you honestly right now because I have not thought about the differences much. But I will do when playing his story next. That'll be tommorow or Wednesday because I'm halfway through SW at the moment. I think that the two VS exclusive characters sound very good. And they don't have a screaming death noise as well. That was really annoying in the JP version.

It never ceased to make me laugh during my time with the JP version. I wonder what the US equivalent is...

I haven't found any flaws from lines of theirs or anything in the nature yet. Every new character has a decent voice. I've unlocked all the newbies but Orochi X. Hideyoshi doesn't feature much in the game at all. The only time out of all but 1 story I've done was in one of SW's stories that I remembered him being present. In fact he speaks more in the pre-battle conversations rather than in battle. So its not all grim from what I have seen! Nobunaga is still his normal self and laughing whilst being able to see in the future...however he hardly appears in comparison to WO1.

He is like Cao Cao from WO1.. only making an appearance next to the last stage(though in Cao's case it was Koshi Castle). Fu Xi has an outstanding voice, though having heard Sakon's so much in SW2XL, I was a bit disappointed. He could have relaxed a bit more when va'ing for Sakon. Nobunaga does not sound the same..perhaps they are using different tones. Nouhime, yea she's the same from WO1. IMO the deep feminine voice suits her better than that scratchy VA from SW2E-XL.

But you are correct, he sits back until the later sector of this game and Cao Cao is his replacement to an extent. Sakon has the same voice as WO1 also. Once again, I agree that his voice was much much better in SW2. In fact this guy who does Fu Xi should come back and do another character if the chance arises. Same with Nu Wa, Yoshitsune, Kiyomori, Himiko and Wukong. All have great voices in this which is surprising to say the least.

Just as with Cao Pi and Xu Huang, the regular combat voices are of the WO1 VA instead of the current VA. Orochi's voice sounds the same to me; the only real difference is it's more effect-laden than in WO1.

I disagree, it is much more high pitch and screechy :wacko: I dont like it much at all, deffinitely prefered the WO VA. I am personally disapointed about Moto, I liked his deeper voice <_< it was much more cooler.

The cutscene is really short and basically Wukong praises little monkey Hideyoshi and says he'd be better on Orochi's team, then Hideyoshi replies with a why thank you and pauses midway and responds about himself not having a tail and being less like a monkey than him.

First Lieutenant Posts: 179 Group: Members Member #5,983 Joined: March 10, 2007	While I like SW2XL Kojiro's voice better..one thing I noticed about Kojiro's voice in WO2 is it sounds a lot closer to his JP voice. There's one attack, either the C3-EX or C4-EX ( I think C4-EX) where he sounds EXACTLY like the JP voice actor.
