I don't like it either and I'll type it out properly, but it'd be bad if Koei changed it now. It'd be inconsistent. Sort of like how they kept pronouncing Cao Cao wrong, then, SUDDENLY, they do it properly? Seems out of place for me. |

I would like to bring up the subject of Nouhime and her father, Saito Dosan. Do you think they would make interesting SW3 additions. (More Saito being an addition, since he was only seen in one cutscene) It would give Noh more depth and such. |

Saito Dousan is pretty cool, but he wouldn't play much of a role unless either his entire story was fictional or they include some of his actual battles. Which means adding alot of other older officers to the game as well. |

Indeed. It is not needed here. This thread is purely to discuss Sengoku Musou 3 and NOT what your feelings are about whatever console it happens to be on. Pages have been already filled with that. Any more posts that purely have something along the lines of "I can't believe it's on Wii! Wii sux!!!" will be treated as spam and dealt with accordingly. |

In the Q&A session, the questions asked were mainly about the announcement in the Nintendo Conference about Sengoku Musou 3 release for Wii and whether the Musou series is being developed for multi-platform. Mr. Matsubara answered "We have the need of diversification, and to meet that we choose the titles and platforms," which might refer that currently Sengoku Musou 3 is only planned to be developed for the Wii. Anyway, this comes from the Q&A session in the Koei-Tecmo merger press release event. |

That sounds to me like quite the opposite. If they're focused on diversification and meeting multiple marketing targets, then it makes sense to not exclusively develop for one - it sounds like he's saying 'We've decided on the Wii, but right now we're considering what else to port it to'. That being said, I'm interpreting the English transliteration of a Japanese news brief about speculation - so who knows at this point. |

Not sure what to think... feel for those that don't have access to a Wii (by this Spring, I will have two 360's and 2 Wii's in my apartment... HOW DID I GET SO LUCKY? Having a brother and a boyfriend move in is pretty freakin' sweet for me. All three in the house, babyeeeee). |

Word. Tell it like it is, part-nah. I couldn't stop laughing when I read that guys post who claimed that PS3 is the most owned system. Barely anybody owns a Ps3. At least 360 is debatable.
The original Koei games were actually released on the PC first, then nintendo, then finally the Snes & Genesis. I've been a koei fan for ages, because they make some of the best strategy games ever made. (More specifically Nobunaga's Ambition, Uncharted Waters, & ROTK.)
Hah hah, agreed. Are you the same Seraphil from gamefaqs? You seem to be one of the only posters in this thread who's level headed, and argues with actual facts. Most of the posts I see around here are based off of emotional logic, and are quite frankly a waste of time imo. I came here to look for info about SW 3, but all I see is constant moaning. It's as if I just took a step into that insipid gamefaqs board. http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.php?board=942167&topic=45750138 __________ The warriors games are indeed lacking these days, but that's been known since the original Samurai Warriors was released. Samurai Warriors 2 itself seemed to be the last time that Koei even bothered to try something new. Warriors Orochi 2 is the last Warriors game I played that was actually good. WO2 doesn't really count though since it's just a game that uses recycled resources & revised gameplay, utilizing the SW2 engine. With that said yes I can see why people would get mad that a full blown sequel being released for the wii. I just bought DW6 for the PS2 and it f'ng sucks. (Immense Fog of war, and slowdown makes the game near unplayable.) In any case I don't see how constantly complaining about Koei's actions will do anything to alleviate the decision that sw 3 is for the wii. The one thing that does bother me about Koei is how they completely ignore their strategy franchises now. As someone else said before, koei hasn't made a new title for tactic, kessen, or rotk. Personally I couldn't care less for tactics, & kessen (Generally the PS2 era Strategy games are all rather weak in the game play department.), but I was at least expecting a new ROTK. Strategy games were what put Koei on the map back in the day, and it's sad to see that Koei has completely given up on the PC strategy game market. Note: I'm aware that Nobunaga's Ambition Iron Triangle (NA 12) is slated for English release next year. That game is one of the main reasons why Koei still has my full support. |

I've never even seen Fog of War in that game. disappearing enemies, yes, but no fog (like SW1). EDIT: Had this game only been for the Wii, they would have told us more directly. Edited by lmay19, Nov 25 2008, 12:08 AM.
