I'm hoping for something different, from left field. Perhaps they can kick things off with a new character instead.

Since new characters are always big news for a Musou sequel (WO2=Nu Wa and Fu Xi. SW2=Ginchiyo and Kotaro. DW5=Xing Cai and Cao Pi), if we don't see new characters on the first scan, then it will be a bad sign (DW6 had Zhao Yun and Lu Bu on the first scan).

A new character should get a scan in the first to the fourth scan. There are so many character they could add...Naomasa, Nobufasa, Toyohisa...but of course, there were good new character canidates for the DW series as well...but I think Koei will be more careful this time around.

Mainly because SW3 has a smaller roster. It shouldn't take as much time for KOEI re-do the characters for the new game, therefore I feel should give us a much better chance of more characters getting added. Any of those you mentioned would be alright, although I think Ujimasa should be right up there on the must add list as well. Hojo need a boost imo. As for first character, for something a bit different, maybe KOEI might try Toshiie again like with SW2XL?

I mean, youre going to have a hard time imagining Toshiie's new outift, where as in someone like Shingen or Kenshin, you have a rough Idea, considering you already had seen him change before.

First of all, I personally love that idea, for a minigame within the game. Like Sugoroku mode was in SW2... SD Characters would be freakin' adorable if only done as a side thing. Main story, if they go SD, then I'd be a little sad... Sorry, I can't stop laughing at the thought of SD Nobunaga. It pleases me. Also, to whomever said Kicho. Um... isn't that the same as Nouhime?

Back to the topic, I'm definitely sure that Yukimura will be somewhere in the first scans. It'd be bad luck of Koei didn't. I mean, look at what happened when Nintendo put a LUIGI game first on the Gamecube!
