i'll put it this way:first, if that's Matsu then KOEI'll probably have a lawsuit on their hands, as that character looks ALOT like the Capcom Sengoku Basara Matsu. and two, why would Matsu be in red? it looks like it's Lady Chiyome for sure, as far as i'm concerned, the overall look is ninja-ish, not a weapons woman, and i just think that WHEN Matsu gets added, KOEI'll make her as different from Bramble as possible. not that i don't love Matsu and want her too, cause i do. |

yea i hope so 2 i don't know why but i want that women to be one of the sanada ten i personally liked kunoichi in sw1 and i hope that women ninja is Kosuke Anayama it would make my fav character Yukimura Sanada be better and it can sort of be like in sw1 the fact that they were always together in missions i liked that |

I believe the characters that will be playable are: Fukushima Masanori Mori Motonari Ii Naomasa <=== very little doubts The female will most likely be a kunoichi of some kind - a hunch would be Mochizuki Chiyome, who trained kunoichis for the Takeda. I also think that some characters MIGHT be removed, to minimise the character roster. That's my 2c  |

If they are keeping the same designs from SW2 I doubt they'll cut anyone. As for my guesses, the girl in red is kunoichi, but this time she'll have a name and a different weapon. The guy in green I can't really say, I doubt he's Kato Kiyomasa. The mon on his clothes would suggest Takemata more than the Kato clan, but I'm not sure why someone who serves the Uesugi would wear green. As for the last two, I can't make a guess either. Their pics are far to dark to see any colors suggesting who they would belong to. |

I think the lady from the first picture has to be Chiyome Mochizuki. She looks like a Kunoichi, wears red clothes - Takeda -, and maybe that's a way to bring Kunoichi from SW1 again. From the second picture, well.....if we go by the crest on the chest, it could be Kiyomasa Kato. I don't know about the last two, though. Maybe they could be from the Hojo. The bad thing it's that none of them look like a Red Devil....I want to see Naomasa! |

If they add anybody they need to add someone for the Date; preferably Katakura Kojuurou, someone to represent the Mouri, and personally I'd like to see Matsunaga Hisahide; his first stage could be Assault on the Capital. Also have Ashikaga Yoshiaki be an NPC.

That doesn't make sense for Kiyomasa to be wearing green. Koei has been consistent across all of their warriors games by dividing forces and kingdoms by color to make sure they have some bit of distinguishability. The Date clan has always been green. The Toyotomi has been yellow. So switching the colors for next gen makes little sense. They didn't for DW6. However, that does seem to be the Kato clan emblem does it not? Well, history hasn't been totally a big deal in the series overall. So him fighting for the Date would probably just be a thing for SW3. Masamune does need an officer of his own. |

I think the fourth character is Konishi Yukinaga, actually. I feel the guy is a better add. He looks young and Konishi was young. |

Don't forget, Oichi doesn't wear purple (minus the 2nd costume) nor does Katsuie and they served Oda (purple) Mitsunari doesn't wear gold (entirely) aswell. Kiyomasa became a seperate daimyo after Hideyoshi died aswell I believe... So he can still wear green <____< |

just saw this, sorry for the late post on it. Anayama Kosuke was a man, it's that damnable Wiki article which refers to the Samurai Deeper Kyo Anime that makes SO MANY folks think that he was female. just so this is clear, there were NO female Sanada Braves historically, no matter the rumors/tales that Kosuke and Isa might have been women. they just are not born out by historical records. the only kunoichi of note for the Takeda that is historically documented is Lady Chiyome Mochizuki. period. as nice as it would be to think otherwise. even the tales that Yukimura's Akihime was involved with the Takeda kunoichi is not historically confirmed. Continuing off that: A. Kiyomasa is green in Samurai Warriors 2 Empires. B. Kiyomasa became his own daimyo some time after the fall of the Hojo, IIRC, sharing half of Higo province in Kyushu with Konishi Yukinaga. C. Both Yoshihiro and Ginchiyo, Toyotomi loyalists, are not yellow in SW2. D. SW2 has already broken the color coding rules mainly due to the fact that clan separation is not clear-cut like in Dynasty Warriors. Mitsunari and Sakon, both of whom are Toyotomi loyalists, both share Western army colors(well, Sakon supposedly does, I don't see it myself) rather than Toyotomi colors. Toshiie, who was chiefly an Oda retainer and then his own daimyo, gets the Toyotomi yellow for whatever reason. Then we get Musashi who fights on the Western army but wears Eastern army blue, and Kojiro doing the opposite. I really, really don't get where the "Kiyomasa fights for Date" idea even comes from. Is color really that influential to some people? ~short rant, pertains to the entire thread~ Nevermind the hypocritical nature of some people's posts here. The guy being green seems like the only evidence for people to think that's Kojuro, yet at the same time they strongly say the guy in WHITE is Hanbei? Or the guy in black even? Wait, what happened to Toyotomi guys being yellow? The characters will be color-coded to some degree, I'm certain. But you guys ought to infer from other details too, such as the Kato crest, or the daimyo vest on Mr. Black(no, those are not monk clothes however much you want to try telling yourself.) I'm sticking with the four being Chiyome/Kunoichi, Kato Kiyomasa, Hojo Ujimasa, and either a Mouri guy or a Christian samurai. ~end rant~ |

Sasuke Sarutobi is who you are referring to. he's the most well known of the Ten, but it's Saizo Kirigakure that i'd want if one of the Ten were to get added. Saizo of Mist, an expert of disguise and explosives...that's be fun for a ninja. |

i've been thinking on this for days, and the continued assertion that the last of the "mystery characters" might be this Ukon fellow, well...are KOEI going to go on a religious "crusade"? it certainly would'nt shock me, and if THAT IS who the character is, Gracia's "untold" story will fit right in, and i'd expect to see some western religious figure next. |

Why Takayama Ukon? Why not Konishi Yukinaga, who would have an excellent reason to be in if Kiyomasa is? Why not Akashi Teruzumi, the hardest fighting Western man at Sekigahara and one of the strongest defenders of Osaka Castle? Otomo Sorin, the chief rival of Shimazu in Kyushu and nominal lord of the Tachibana? Kuroda Kanbei, Hideyoshi's chief strategist who later joined forces with Kiyomasa to claim Kyushu? I'd personally like to see that crazy Araki Murashige for a Christian dude. |
