Dynasty Warriors 7 needs to include the wars AFTER Sun Quans, Liu Bei and Cao Cao's death.

Lu Xun, Cao Pi and Liu Chan are neglected quite badly. Afterall, the Romance of the Three Kingdom story hasn't been finished in the Dynasty Warriors series.

Also, Dynasty Warriors 7 could be the last one in this series, now we have Playstation Network and Xbox Live, we can update games and download new content without getting more and more discs. I see myself playing Dynasty Warriors 7 on a 120 GB Xbox 360 hard drive console, downloading many updates for the game in 2 years. :hmmm:

Isn't it time we let go of the past and venture into the new? Cao Cao, Liu Bei and Sun Quan have had their 12 years of fame, let the newbreed of heroes rise? :ph43r:

The problem with that, though, is that if you cut out all of the early/middle era people, you cut out most of the culturally popular and significant ones. Also, there's the issue of where to actually start. You say after Sun Quan's death, but that would also mean that most of the talented generals for Wu are gone, Shu is basically already destroyed, and Wei has Cao Fang in charge as a puppet while Sima Zhao holds all the power. Who would be playable? Wei/Jin is the only kingdom I can come up with more than 5 good adds for.

The best solution would to just include the later years along with the earlier ones.

I see, but for example in Guan Ping and Xing Cais ending on DW5, Liu Chan is fighting but he has no model of his own. He could be a Character, since he has about 4 battles before he surrenders, and Lu Xun needs to be the cover boy for the next one.

I thought DW6 was a great restart of the series, so it'd be a shame if it didn't continue on. I really loved the new character designs and cinematic/voice acting that came with DW6, completely blew away previous titles in those regards.

Obviously there needs to be more musou modes, characters, and unique movesets but overall a good start in a new direction.

More than a sequel it would be better a "recopilation" "for ever game" or i don't how to call, in each new game you allways miss some items, styles, features or costumes from the previous games.

It would be fine the next game was the most complete one. Including musou xtreme and empires mode (not three games practicaly identic with 1 year of diference in the realese). The edit mode, the items, all mounts (elefants and such), the editi opening option with edit chars avaliable...all this.

Definitely, but one thing they should think about is spacing it out. Work on the quality rather than quantities. Make the expansions actual expansions rather than an additional addon. I think they should more or less spend more time on there games. Like listening to what the fans want of it and put in every great mode. And no stupid mistakes such as deleting characters, removing vs mode etc...

One thing I would love is Online VS and Co-op. :D

The Dynasty Warriors series in my opinion has just gone horrible from 4. 5 was like some step back because of the Musou Mode which was by character, not by force (which was actually a good idea for 4).
I hope that there aren't any more sequels similar to DW6 though; that game is so alien to me compared to 3 and 4. If they get back to basics but also implement some new things that everyone will like, I would certainly be happy to buy a sequel.

Yes, as long as they put a stop in making games for a modern target audience and actually fullfill Originality in every aspect of the game. They can get away with making any character, costume or storyline because they have the technology to make good graphics. But that's precisely why they should use that element to create more original games, and give each character their own individual feel. Dynasty Warriors 3 did that perfectly. That's why it is so respected even now. As for the recent games they made, the characters have lost that special essence.

Nah. Too many sequels make a series stale, like how too many episodes of an anime make it stale. Should've put all their effort in the last game and left it at that.
Well, Final fantasy has like, 25 games, and it just gets better and better, its the same with DW

no

But being serious if there is going to be a DW7 then there needs to be some actual "innovation" to the series. KOEI thought they were changing something in DW6 by creating renbu, new weapons, and new costumes. But if you take a step back you'll see that DW remains the same game it has been since DW2.

No. The game is just to repetitive to keep going much longer. I honesly beleive 6 games are to much for a hack n slash series. I hope DW7 will be their last (and please put more effort into DW7 than you did in DW6). However, like someone said eariler they could make another series like GreekWarriors or something but as far as DW goes, it's dying out.
