That was one of the best Dream stages ever. Though I stand by what I said before, if it were that Dream stage at the end of all that prof grinding instead of Dream 27, it would have been much more satisfying.

Yes. That seemed like the perfect ending to the Dream Mode. I am confused on one thing, though: the mission's description stated that these warriors sought redemption, yet Tadakatsu never fought for Orochi in the first place. Was he just there to help Keiji and Lu Bu redeem themselves?

Probably Tadakatsu is there to make sure the Wild Man and Mr Betray-a-lot won't go out of line.

If Keiji and Lu Bu snapped, Tadakatsu could easily put down Keiji. Lu Bu, however, would be a little more difficult.

I think it has to do with a line from the Orochi campaign, when it's Ieyasu and friends against Sun Ce and Orochi forces. After you foil all of Ieyasu's plans and face off against him and Hanzou, Ieyasu says something along the lines of "If only Tadakatsu were here, we might have been able to win this battle!" So, it's possible that Tadakatsu is trying to redeem himself for failing to be there when his lord's forces were routed by Orochi's forces along with some lingering regrets related to Wu 7-X in WO1 (provided that occurred in the 'official' storyline).

"Official" storylines are still being debated. Look at the Story continuity thread for that.

Anyway, not only do I see Dream 8 as the perfect end to Dream mode as a whole, I see it also as the end to WO2. I mean come on, none of the 4 WO2 storyline provide a concrete end to this whole thing, and Dream 8 seems to be the perfect ending.

You really want to know it and not go through that grinding? OK.

You are Xu Zhu, Huang Gai and Hanzo, saving the princess of the castle in Yan Province. The princess, it transpires, is Gracia, and you need to go through officers to get to her. Eventually, you need to get Gracia out of the stage so she can call for reinforcements. After defeating a Pang Tong ambush, she leaves and you need to make sure that the remaining three officers in the castle don't die. After going through 3 waves of enemies, Gracia returns with Cao Cao, Sun Jian and Ieyasu. You defeat the commander of the army, Yuan Shao. The end.

Basically, think of it as the Three Musketeers, except with a childlike fat guy, a shadow-obsessed taciturn ninja and a veteran old warrior.

I just unlocked this dream stage yesterday and it took me a long time to unlock it. The battle is not bad at all. After I completed this I unlocked Orochi X and have some fun playing him. This stage could have been better since it takes a long time to ulock this stage.

I just found out that my profiency count was off. I only have a total of 2089 -_-

Fortunately, because of Veteran's Day, I have no school on Tuesday, along with the entirety of next weekend to try and get Shin Orochi before DW6 Special is released.

I myself gave up on trying to unlock this about 3 months ago. I should be more careful next time! I was already burning myself out trying to get all the treasures.

*Is extremely jelous*

I don't think I'm even halfway there yet! I know I have 10 characters at 50 prof at least... maybe 20 by now... hm

Well I'm getting there at least. I still stand by my opinion that the Lu Bu/Kejji/Tadakatsu stage was the hardest to get. I nearly pulled my hair out on Wu Zhang Plains trying to get that accursed Bowl of the Buddah. Sure getting stage 27 is a right pain in the @$$ but it's not really "hard" to get. Getting proficiency is comparitively easy compared to various other tasks you have to do in the game... so I wouldn't count it as hard. Just rediculously long and irritating. >_>

It's so annoying this profieciency method! Why couldn't they keep it easier like in WO1? I like playing itsukushima but I use Sun Wukong to travel then KO with who I am trying to max. My record is 5:47 but I cannot STAND hearing the victory quotes!!! "Time to add another notch to Mr. Whacky" gets really annoying after hearing it a million times. I do almost have the proficiency needed to unlock that stage...

Congratulations.

Myself, I have not unlock 3 more stages yet. Wow! to unlock Orochi X is tough. Not to mension MOZ too. That is more harder and many stages to clear. But, this will take more time. I like it. :hehe: :XD :)

I don't see why every one is saying it's hard to get dream stage 27. I am killing myself trying to get treasures. So hard................ so hard

It only took me a month to get this dream stage but that is because I had time on my hands to do all the proficiency grinding that was needed to unlock the stage. I rushed through stage 4 times at each difficulty level just so I can was able to unlock Orochi X and the last artwork.

SO I've just spent the last half an hour counting everyone's proficiency onto a spreadsheet and then making a total amount. I've played this game quite a lot (barely this year but I played it for a good 2 months straight when it came out), and everything came to 1,790. I'm still a thousand away from getting Dream 27! :( The most annoying thing is that you can only really go up by 5 or 6 at a time, I don't really want to have to do Wu 4 and Wei 5 (or whichever ones they are) another 160 times :(

just alternate between Wu 4, Wei 8, SW 8, Wei 5 and any dream stages that have the characters you're using, stopped me from getting severe boredom.
Although don't get too excited when you finally do it though, the stage isn't that great and Orochi X is dissapointing :( , exactly the same as Orochi but he has no wallpapers, extra costumes and has a weaker moveset :/

I just unlocked this dramatic mode last night. :hehe:
1/3 of the entire cast's proficiency were already finished(50/50) for over five months until I started playing WO2 again last weekend. Of course, it was a pain finishing a few leftover characters. :XD
I've yet to play this dramatic mode until I'm done grinding proficiency for all of the characters.
