Surely we all know this family! The show is a masterpiece and whenever, over the few times I do, watch TV I don't hesitate to flick it on. Its incredibly clever and quick witted.

So I'm sure you have favorites? Mine have always been Homer and Ralph Wiggum. Homer since he is so comical most of the times and Ralph because of his character. One funny moment I remember of his is when 3 pieces of fruit had a competition to race to the bottom end of the school bus. Him happening to throw a banana versus a apple and orange.

Also the event where he fails the spelling contest ''Me fail English? Thats unpossible!'' is one great quotation.

Hmm, quite surprised there is not already a topic here about the Simpsons. It is probably my all time favorite show. I have seasons 1-10 on dvd, and have been meaning to get 11. This show easily has the biggest set of classic characters, as there are just so many great ones such as Ralph, Apu, Fat Tony, Sideshow Bob, Nelson, Chief Wiggum, Moe, etc. there are just so many. Favorite episodes are most likely The Monorail and Das Bus.

A new Tree House of Horror is on tomorrow, ill have to make sure to watch it.

But there is no doubt that the show in general has lost a lot of its flare. It is not as good as it used to be, but some recent ones havent been that bad.

I won't say its the greatest cartoon/animated show on TV ever, but it's easily one of the most recognizable and longest-running cartoon. It's still mostly as good as its always been, but due to nostalgia, most fans seem to think it isn't as good as it used to be. That's like saying EVERY episode was an amazing peice of art, while only a few of the more recent episodes have been. The older seasons were like that too, just people seem to forget that.

Favorite Episode: Stephen Colbert is Homers "Life Coach", or perhaps the "Homers Odyssey" episode. "Isn't that the story of when I rented that mini-van"? was one of the funniest quotes on that episode :)

Simpsons is my all time favourite show as well! :D I've got a pretty large bank of Simpsons quotes/scenes in my head, if I do say so myself ;) My favourite characters are Comic Book Guy, Sideshow Bob and Homer.

It's been a successful cartoon comedy for such a long time now, and that itself is a massive credit.

I've enjoyed watching a number of them before, I always seem to get a lot of kicks of Homer's and his buddies stupidity in Moe's bar more the anything.

I must admit I'm starting to tire of it though, both Fox 8 & Ten here have played them more times then I could count on a hundred hands. They replay the episodes far too often...

LOL...

Put it simply, I'm a Simpson freak and love watching the episodes from ten years ago to now, it just cracks me up alot and the series is made specifically for a whole family with different jokes to cater to different age groups... its bought my family together all the time ^_^

Anywho, I can't really say I have a favorite episode though "Behind the Laughter" was one of a kind, but the most consistent episodes are the halloween episodes or ones where they go to other countries and poke fun at where they are like "Godzilla Attacks in Japan"...

Favorite Characters are hard for me to pick as everyone does well in their roles although when I was younger, Bart caught my attention the most along with Homer... ^_^

I don't exactly have much in merchandise, but until the series ends, I will try to watch every single episode until the last drop...

"Next week on behind the laughter.............Huckleberry Hound"

Huckleberry Hound: "I was so gay, but I couldnt tell anyone"

LOL  that was indead a funny episode.

Simpsons is one of the funniest shows ever and has lasted so long, I hope it continues, but I hope it gets back to being as good as it was back in some of those middle seasons.

I didn't post in here yet, how come? Oh my god, I must've missed this topic or something. This show is freakin' awesome, it owns Family Guy since it doesn't use dirty humour. And, yes, it was made in 1988 on that show or whatever, before it had it own show on certain channels. Anyways, The Simpsons owns, it's basically the best ANIMATED comedy on Televison at the moment. (Don't disagree with me, 'cause it's true).

I freaking love the Simpsons.

But do they still make me laugh? Yes...just not as much as they used too.

Back in the old days when I was a kid I'd be slapping my knee when watching them. Nowadays the occasional chuckle and a smile to my lips.

I love the Simpsons. I'm lucky to share the last name with one of the TV most iconic families

I've got some of the full seasons on DVD, my favourite probably being the sixth. It has some of my favourite episodes like "Who Shot Mr Burns Pt. 1", "Bart vs Australia" and "Homer the Great".

I use to always watch the simpsons a lot back then but ever since Family guy and American dad came I kinda lost interest in the simpsons. For me it's just not that funny anymore but I still watch it when it's on.
