Sure, there are so many things to do in the game, and it’s a great asset to have if you want your favorite warriors’ title to last long. But don’t you think it’s a bit too much? Yes, I’m referring to the infamous, titanic Dramatic Stage 27. You’d most likely to unlock/complete what’s most on offer in the game before you could even get close to fulfill the requirements for opening that stage. This is not an RPG game; players shouldn’t have to “grind”, or Itsukushima all the way to glory. I think WO2 would’ve been much better off if the requirements to unlock stages shouldn’t be too much of a hassle, because what’s the point of playing a stage you only unlocked but to have most of your roster nearly all maxed out? I think it would’ve been much better if they left those hardcore players who wanted to max out everything alone, rather than making such requirement to unlock a stage for those who just want to complete the game and get to know the full story behind Story + Dramatic modes. I’ve already seen many quitters, and those who even literally memorized who they have to kill on that stage because that’s the only sufficient method to reach the goal in the shortest time. But that’s just ridiculous, and I feel for the quitters, because I’m one of them. I’m halfway through in unlocking everyone’s’ abilities and I have not come close to unlocking what’s a quarter of the requirement for that stage. |

I think Orochi X was meant to be a "reward" for players who play the game actively for a long time. Nowhere it's stated that you need to unlock all stages and characters as soon as possible. Only perfectionist (me) or those who simply don't have any patience try to get Orochi X as soon as they can. When you really think about it, this is the second time when KOEI rewards players who have bothered to max out characters (first time was in DW3XL where you had to get 99999 points for all characters in order to unlock SSX's DT costume). |

In agreement with LoW on this one. What reward did we get for maxing out all characters in WO? --> Nothing Once I had completed everything in WO, I really couldn't help but feel "That's it?" I personally feel though that Dream Stage 27 should have been more of a reward. The characters involved & the stage plot seems to be pretty dull from what I have heard. I would say that the work needed to get 2,730 Proficiency is not worth it just to unlock this stage. I think having Shin Orochi available at the end after everything is done is a nice reward though. Many feel that the reward is hardly worth the effort, but I beg to differ. Its a much better reward than the one granted for finally getting Lu Bu's PI in WO

No one says that you have to get Orochi X, nor that you have to grind at Itsukushima. Stage 27 and Orochi X are rewards for playing the game and doing some effort in getting used to several different characters. I don't really mind it that it takes a while to get them: i'd rather take my time to unlock something good (Orochi X), than to do play several stages and get something stupid (PI's) |

To the average player of WO2, Dream 27 and Orochi X are just a bunch of afterthoughts. They might as well have a fun time playing the game. To the hardcore players, again, its their own decision. I mean there is no law or anything that we NEED to unlock them, its just our love for the game that makes us want to do it. I think that's what Koei intended. IMO though, they should have switched the requirements of Dream 27 and Dream 8. If it were Dream 8 at the end of all the grinding it would have been much more satisfying. |

If you grind for the Orochi X and Dream stage requirements on 1 stage, yes, it will make your eyes bleed. If you just play the game and enjoy it to the fullest until one day you notice "Oh gee I unlocked it" , it's worth it =p If there is such a thing as a casual perfectionist, yes, it would be a total pain to 100% complete this game. |

Unlocking Shin Orochi will grant the greatest feeling of accomplishment in the world. Sure, it takes a large amount of work (something I misunderstood in the beginning) and lots of time to cash in, but once you finished, it's as if KOEI is saying, "Congratulations on your efforts and determination. This is for you." And they hand over to you the most powerful character in the game. But you don't have to automatically maxing out Shin Orochi once he's unlocked (some players might, but I have nothing against that). Once you finish, take a break. You deserve it. |

I only just finished the story modes today (having done Orochi's, SW, and Wei's modes yesterday) and have about 2/3 of the dream stages unlocked. So what are the requirements for 27? |

To unlock Dream Mode stage 27, all of your character profiencies must total 2,730 or higher. It is a pretty big number. |

It's no biggy to me really. Sure, if you're a perfectionist, its a bummer, but then again, try to have fun as you do it. You get to fight with many characters (if you haven't played certain ones already), and you learn and experience different fighting styles. As many others here pointed out, it's all about having fun, right? In the end, you bought the game. And for what reason? I'm sure that most would say 'to have fun', and that's all that matters If you do happen to do that extra hard work in unlocking Orochi X, then you got your money's worth. |

What the hell, i didnt know that.. i even have DW3 xl.. wich DW was it you could get lu bu's awesome rotk costume, i really loved that one and the music too, was on chibi and he had his own grey army. Man that was really cool and challenging too... unlike anything in wo2 :l I agree wth OP btw. Oh and @ legendaryseadragon
You are kidding right? How much more powerfull can you be when half of all chars maxed 1 hit kill everything with a tap on the square button in a radius of 10 feet. Why didnt koei just add a nuke on wheels to the game, so you could win the stage from the spawning point and be done with it. would save you running around 30 seconds. I'm always obsessive about unlocking characters as soon as possible in these games. So I found the requirements for Shin Orochi to be a real pain in the ass. Stages that required you to max out certain characters annoyed me. After I max a character I usually don't play as them very much so the characters I had to rush to max out ended up gettin tossed aside earlier than I would have liked. Then you get a stage that only these maxed characters will be able to play on. Blarg. I suppose I would have found it less annoying if there was some sort of free mode for dream stages. |

Because a level 99 Shin Orochi with 50 profiency is the equivalent of a nuke on wheels xD Yes, it is true that all other maxed out characters can simply one-hit kill with one press of the square button, but it seems that people would get more joy of it as a super snake demon with a big huge scythe in his hand. |

I totally agree with redfoxxie. You should just have fun enjoying the game, and after a while you'll notice you unlocked stage 27. Although evryone who plays is not a perfectionist, it should still be easy to unlock the stage. Its very annoying knowing that you have to be a perfectionist to get Orochi X. |

Got this game with minimal informations. It is only through this topic that I understood there's so much work needed to unlock Orochi X and that dream stage which I knew not. *cough* No matter, I would actually believe I am striving for a 100% here, similarly to what I did for WO1. |
