I didn't do 100% completion in WO, because Lu Bu's PI is a pain in the ass to get. >_> After taking a break from unlocking Shin Orochi, I might do 100% completion for WO2, but I'm going to have a blast doing it

After unlocking Shin Orochi, I'll probably work on maxing out characters until DW6 for PS2 comes out. |

Well, I've went against everybody else and voted for "No Way". Sure, it does take ages to unlock everything in the game, but considering the amount of free time I have outside of college, such a huge game with tons to do is perfect for me. It's also nice to know that all this Level and Proficiency building is actually getting me somewhere, rather than just being there for the sake of it. Edited by Spike, Nov 8 2008, 09:21 PM.

KOEI did go all out on this game, giving players lots of things to do while keeping the game fun. |

The only way I'd ever find it to be too much work is if I ever felt obligated to unlock everything in the game ever. And I do not feel obligated to do that... so no, it's not too much personally. I take my own pace. Why on earth would I put myself under a time limit to unlock everything as fast as I can? I'd understand if that brought me some sort of joy... but it doesn't. I don't feel a need to unlock everything; the game is fun enough as is. The fact that by playing, I may randomly unlock something more is a nice surprise. |

i don't feel like i have to unlock anything, that's the only way to unlock everything without going nuts imo. as longevity i must say that it's far better then WO and that i am having so much fun with it, it reminds me of DW5, but DW5 was still better imo. But i Guess Koei did really well this time, no sarcasm, may sound stupid but we have so many charachters and (far better done than WO) stages that it could last forever. dream stages is perfect for levellin proficiency imo, it's a great way to have fun with everyone too. |

That's what I meant earlier, with no sarcasm intended. Once players accomplish their major goals in the game, there's still a lot left to enjoy. I know that the VS modes are fixed for fair gameplay, but IMO it would be cool if VS mode used the character data from story modes. I'd love to pit my characters with their fourth weapons against each other xD |

It really is a pain... sometimes I can't wait until my last character gets his max Proficiency sometimes... I almost get bored from day to day now as I am just doing the same thing over and over again... but I try to switch up the level for variety. I am also trying to balance games to play too (WO2 - Soul Calibur 4 - GTA4 - SOCOM) arhhggg!!! Too many games to play too... I did the math for WO2 and if I did one character every day, I would be done sometime next Spring. If I do 2 character every day... etc... It just seems drawn out... |

Since I'm apparently not a hardcore gamer, yeah, it is a lot of work for me. At this point, I'm growing more bored by the sheer amount of work I have to do in order to unlock the Dream Stages that I want to play (mostly levels and proficiency, and stupid treasure runs). Not that I want everything unlocked in a matter of seconds, but sometimes it just seems like I'm doing more work, than playing the game... In other words, I'm about to tell my favorite characters that their dream stages aren't worth the effort and just more to another game for now. Maybe the break is what I need anyway... |

Woah, wait, for NA/EU/AU? Are you kidding me? Well, CRAP. There goes my chances for touching WO2. Wait... there's not a lot to do w/ DW6 Special anyway, so I might be done with that in, what, a few days? Nevermind. |

It looks like it'll be a game that can be completed in very little time, unlocking all characters wise. Then there's maxing out all characters and finding all weapons and horses. |

Hah... there's no need to unlock things that are RANDOM. I have no luck with that and I don't like messing with my PS3 settings anyway, so I can live without Red Hare. I'll be done with DW6Special in two days at most. XD |

The workload is all the more tiresome as there is less fun elements to act an excuse for doing so - level grinding was more fun in WO1 for example as i did a lot of it chasing the mass amounts of PIs that were on offer as each character had different unlock specifications...it was fun. Secondly you could pick and choose who you used in the Dream stages - as such ALL could be used for level and proficiency grinding for any character, now half of the battles aka the dream ones are restricted to 3 named characters each which sucks, certainly even more so when Orochi based series characters dont feature in any of them. Yeah, i have to say the removal of PIs and the new form of Dream stages has made things more mundane and as such ive still a lot of work to do on the grinding front but havent had the disc in the tray of my 360 for several weeks now where as i was playing the original on a dailly basis for months getting everyone maxed out. |

I already unlocked Shin Orochi. He levels up really fast, and already is at max level with max profiency in less than three days. He even has Almighty on his fourth weapon. I'm now taking a break from that hellish work to play DW6. |

@thundercry: I think it would be best if you put some details on your posts. Hmm? Anyways unlocking stages like Dream 27 and the last artwork that features Diao Chan, Gracia, and Oichi did stink. I mean you have to work to get a stage that you can complete less than five minutes. I was surprised that my work unlocked a beautiful artwork. I think my post was a little bit straight. But I still liked the stage also and the artwork. |

Is there some way the game tells you how much Proficiency you have or are you guys who are naming numbers just straight-up manually counting? |

No, it doesnt tell you how much you have total. But I see no reason to count. You will know you have enough when you unlock dream 27
