i envy you guys so sooo much. . i'm afraid to touch the needle. . even the machine thingy used for sewing. .ugh. . i did a cosplay once i wore flonne. .my bestfriend did it. .the paddings she forgot to put paddings and we was late for the contest . .oh boy. .my . .my. . .was seen. .soo i got home after LOSING the competition . .and since then. .i never did cosplay. . oh and by the way. . kacela. .you're xiao qiao costume was cool as in sooo COOL |

i went with ply wood. it was thinner so it didnt weight to much and since i didnt have alot of time easier to manage. im no good at power tools so i had some help cutting the shapes out., i sanded them down a little bit to make them more rounded and the blad a slight tilt to it. i used those thin little rods in the craft department to put everything together when it was done. i drilled the holes ans used wood glue so they wouldnt come out. lol. i did a base coat first of a caramal to the chakrams so the gold would stand out. grand total: 45 dollar for all materials. and i had wood left over so i cut out more chakrams. but that is for a differnt cosplay b/c the blade is differnt shaped more elegantly. but its fun. ive been working on them when the little one is sleeping so she cant bug me lol.

I'm glad you have been enjoying yourself while making those And 45 $ is a good sum for materials - especially considering you can now even make parts for a second cosplay Did those Chakrams convince you to keep trying doing stuff yourself, or do you think you'll rather have someone else do all the work again in the future?

i am going to be doing alot more stuff for myself in the future lol. time management is all i need to work on. my friend asked me to help her with her xiao qiao fans. shes doing lvl 4 ones the red with big blue bows are butterflies. lol it is fun. the only thing i i know i am going to wait on is the design other than the stones. i am trying to get a good pic so i know what it looks like. If I compare the two of them with the ref-pics, I'd go for the smaller ones But in cases like this you can just go with what looks better to you

I've always thought that making accurate and "realistic" weapons could be one of the hardest works while doing a cosplay, but your results are so good that you guys (almost) make it seem easy O_O! Great job, LiuXian and Qing Long! |

thanks its is hard to get it accurate she had a circle pattern up there 2 but i burnt my finer with the glue gun trying to do it so i gave up on that. .. bad right... lool.. i actually should have them done tonight or tomorrow Edit:: my sis wants me to help her on her diao chan mallet thingy's now... lol...oh and my friend desided on xiao qiaos fams with the pandas. we looked thru the cosplay pics and no one had it yet, EDITT:: THERE FINISHED YAYAYAAAAAAAA http://middayice.deviantart.com/art/Chakrams-FINISHED-135364610ill post a pick with me tomorrow,.
