GODS NO RENBU!!!!!!! It already ruined DW6.......... Stick to evolving combos as you level, and 4th weapons PLEASE I like lots of unlockables, this is what made SW2 the best |

To be honest, after playing DW6 empires, they did fix some of the issues of the Renbu system. However, without the triangle strong attacks that are different after every square attack, the Renbu system in empires inspired more brainless button mashing than ever before. I like the continuous attack part of Renbu. Not having to stop after completing the square attack string is very nice. Plus in empires, they removed the part of renbu that when you get hit or are not fighting you loose it. They took a nice step but need to add one more thing. Koei just needs to throw in the old triangle (hard slash) attack system in and they should be fine as far as combat goes. If they do this I think the combat will be much better, a mix of the old with only the good parts of the new.

DW6E's Renbu is pretty good... Adding triangle strong after each RENBU stage will be good enough I think... Adding triangle strong after EACH square is TOO MUCH... Renbu has a lot of advantages... 1. Very smooth motion, a LOT more realistic, and martial art like... Thanks to Koei moving to motion capturing the moves... 2. Infinite combo, like how it should of been... Seriously... after playing with DW6/Empires Zhao Yun, it's impossible for me to go back to the old Zhao Yun... It just looks so bad ... I can't stand it X_X PLEASE DO NOT ADD MOTION CONTROL TO THIS GAME... Hack'n'Slash doesn't work with motion control... it only hurts my hand X_X Edited by errorrrr, Jul 29 2009, 06:53 AM.

No, just no, infinite combo is possibly the worst thing about renbu, The combo strings are much to long, you almost never get to see the end on higher dificulties, i think that the combos should only be about 10-12 attacks, instead of 20+ |

NO NO RENBU FOR samurai got it? look samurai warriors has it 's own feeling and play why toss in renbu? that will only destroy the method of the samurai. in other words leave samurai warriors battle system the way it is now. if you want to tweek it do something with musou attacks or what ever just no renbu... |

Well I'm pretty certain fthat we don't have to worry about renbu for this game. If Honda's screenshots are any indication, then this will have a fighting system very similar to SW2, plus the new features that they already talked about. |

As others have said, I don't like the triangle move in the renbu. There needs to be more variety like the old C3 C4 etc or it looks boring. |

Renbu looks and feels boring, there's little variation in the attacks and the power attack is barely worth using at times because if you use it, even in lower difficulties the peons will take advantage and hit you. I mean, in old-style Dynasty Warriors it was a button masher, yes, but it had a proper combo system and because most of the characters have relatively linear movesets, you also had to rely on positioning and proper usage of your combo effects to beat officers (I.E. C3 to stun, C2 to launch, continue with a juggle....C1 to break block, etc.) This stuff where nearly everyone has wide sweeping moves allows me not only to get 1000-2000 kills effortlessly, also allows me to kill officers before I even know they're there. And to make things worse, I can use my left hand to scratch an itch or something, keep tapping X/Square, and get like 100 kills. My friend laughed because I took my hand off the controller and my performance didn't dwindle at all =P I agree that DW6E was a step in the right direction, but c'mon. Older Warriors games do it right, don't break what isn't broken. |

(>_>) Uh, No! No Renbu. Do you guys really feel like playing the same old Dynasty Warriors 6 when Samurai Warriors 3 is going to be a new and diffrfent game? If they add Renbu it will be no different than playing DW6. Yeah, Ive already got tired of playing it. Wouldn't want to be playing DW6 on SW3 now do you?? |

Well, it has been announced that SM3 will be using SM2's three different movesets, so... The only thing close to "Renbu" is the "Rengi" gauge which uses Musou Ougi Kaiden and Eigi technique. |

I'm 100% anti-renbu, hopefully this concept never sees the light of day again. God some of the generic movesets were so bland in DW6, mainly because of Renbu...

Has it been officially confirmed? Even though I’m A GM here, I still seem to get left behind with the new information on games, even if I try to keep up! I'll lock and archive this topic should someone provide proof of an official statement stating that Renbu is out. I looked around a bit but couldn't find anything else about this, and as I can't read Japanese I can't exactly look on the SW3 site! >.< Though on a side note, I’ll be very happy to see confirmation of the Renbu system being scrapped.
