New Attacks And Buttons; like SW2 special moves......

-Well first of all id like to say i hope they keep the R1 special character unique moves , it made it differ from DW series and add characteristics , and personallity .

Especially mitsuhide cause fast samurai cuuting style suits him as that char and moveset , id prefer to play as him than any other char.

--But above all i hope theres no CHARACTER DUPLICATE ~MOVESET!!! If i play the game and see that mitsuhide got the exact same moves as.....umm..kenshin , or ranmaru mori , then ill be as dissapointed as i was with SVR 09 !

But I don't want to discuss it.

I think there will be some minor changes in movesets like from SW1>SW2 and DW4>DW5, changing a few attacks with something new. That or they'll make a new system completely.

Or something Renbu-ish.

Watch SW3 gives us the ability to create combos using both the square and triangle, but that would make it extremely time-consuming for the creators to make every character a new moveset but seeing how they were like close to 30 characters. I think they can accomplish something that gives each character originality.

I'm sure they'll learn from DW6. Though I don't know if Renbu will be considered successful or not...

As for R1 attacks - well, they haven't done anything with R1 + X or O yet, so maybe there's something.

yer but i think he means while holding r1 , itll change what the button does , like what it did ON sw2 , were it changed square and triangle ...from attack and power attack .

R1+o could be some kind of mousou bar draining skill, that stays on for as long till mousou runs out. Like some kind of morale boost or defense + for a range around your character.

R!+x could be jump related skills, dashes and evade/parry (instead of block) depending on the character. ofcourse the latter should be a timed based thing like musashis stance

Ofcourse this is just a idea for what it could be. I agree that it would be an add to the game, the game needs alot more individual differentiation for gameplay to flourish.

Yeah i like what Tesouken said i think R1+O Should Take Musou AWay In Give allies health in morale becuase ur allies die kinda fast When ur next to them, :( off screen there ok but still enemy officers can charge up in get full health !! why cant allied officers do the same ? -_-

Perhaps we could prepare to discuss the recently revealed attack system and button layout:

BlackKite
 
  • Control will be more optimized on classic controller rather than remote controller. Here's the known list of buttons used.
    D-pad: Use items
    Left joystick: Move
    L: Camera position fixing (Maybe this could be the guard button as usual)
    Y: Normal attack
    X: Charge attack
    B: Jump
    A: Musou attack

  • The game will perhaps introduce timely presses producing advantage rather than the usual mashing. In case of Kanbei, If you just mash the button, he will only attack with 2 orbs. But if you use timing on the pressing, he can attack with up to 4 orbs.

  • A stronger musou attack, Musou Ougi - Kaidan, is added. There is a line of spheres next to musou gauge and when they're fully charged you can release it

  • NEW - The sphere bar on the left is named Rengi gauge. It is mainly used to unleash the new techniques in this game such as the aforementioned Musou Ougi Kaidan

  • NEW - There will be also a new technique called Eigi (lit. Shadow Technique) which will also use up the Rengi gauge. During attack, by pressing Jump button, the attack will be immediately canceled to unleash this technique
I know we just found out about this, but feel free to discuss your thoughts about what's been mentioned so far, and we can continue to discuss things as they are revealed ^_^

As for me, this is one of the main highlights of this game so far. The Shadow Technique and the variable attacks based on how the buttons are pressed really allude to an improved combat system.

I'll be using a Gamecube controller, the button placement is different.
If that's the case, then yeah, things will be rather out of place for you.
Time to invest in a classic controller I suppose.

I still have my preference to my large Wireless GC controller, that way I can sit on the sofa, and not use a controller which crushes my finger joints for being too small.

There's no need to convince me to buy anything.

The way the Wii is set up in my lounge, you can't.

Any controller with wires has you sitting on the floor.

Anyways, off topic discussion over, you can not and will not ever convince me to invest in a non-wireless controller.

SW3 controls are like SW2 ps2 but instead of

Square : Normal attack to Y: Normal attack
triangle : Charge attack to X: Charge attack
X : Jump to B: Jump
O : Musou attack to A: Musou attack


and the bottoms places are the same .

Well, you never know... perhaps there will be some button changing for the Gamecube controller. After all, the big Green A button just screams "press me 1,000,000 times per stage.

Best case scenario, we can rearrange the buttons, but that might be asking too much.
