Do you think Koei should increase the AI of the enemy or just leave it the way it is? I personally don't really care, just as long as I don't have to worry about bein killed in 5 hits. |

Yes, no doubt about it. The games recently have been too friendly, its very simple and straight-forward to beat the titles, and making the enemy on Chaos like in DW5's Wu Zhang Plains is not the way to go in my opinion. They just hit you terribly hard and then act daft for the rest of the stage with you having no health items to aid you. I like the way DW3 and Dynasty Warriors: Gundam does it - aggressive combat and weak-hitting attacks, both ways. That's the way I hope the trend turns back into.

I suppose they can be aggressive. Just don't have them dealing massive amounts of damage in 3 hits. |

That is pretty much it. I want smarter opponents, not overpowered ones. Getting hit 2 or 3 times to die is not difficult, it just makes the opponent broken and frustrating. Enemy power alone should be determined by the difficulty setting. But having someone move skillfully, time attacks and defend well is completely different, that is the type of AI I'd like to face when fighting opposing officers. Occasionally you get an officer that defends well and uses quick jump attacks on you, but not often enough. I'd love more challenging battles like that. |

I agree with you. Smarter opponents can be more interesting and challenging to be fought with especially fighting against enemy officers. Some enemy AI defends well and it makes you frustrated at the same time. On chaos mode is where you find it the most difficult to beat enemy. The enemy hits you so hard. For just about 3 to 4 hits, your vitality turns to red... and that is too massive amounts of damage. |

Definitely the should. While they did try to do it before, they did it the wrong way. They made the enemies stronger when in fact they should have made them smarter. |

Absolutely. You just can't simply increase the atk power of the soldiers in harder difficulties! AI aggressiveness is everything. |

I think enemy AI has been slowly decreasing, it was better in 2 and 3, at least the enemies moved about and attacked you. Now they seem to walk about in a circle, continuously, still fun to kill them though |

It's kinda weird because on novice difficulties they just stand aroung you moving about Then they stop....and move around some more On Chaos they are waaaaaaay too beefed in terms of attack Especially the archers "sighs" Bloody archers |

Sure. It makes things more challenging. I don't mean by just increasing the strength and defense of enemy AI but actually make them move quickly. |

Seconded. I'd rather face enemies where the difficulty will open up more attacks (say, for example using DW6) in easy they start in Renbu 1, in Medium their lowest setting is Renbu 2, Hard has Renbu 3, and they're permanently in Infinite Renbu in Chaos. That way we get a greater variety of attacks and therefore ways of trying to counter them. DW6 was something that I could do little but laugh at, because I could sit the controller down (any difficulty) and just walk away: the peons would just stand there like weeds. Being able to customize the difficulty (maybe enabling/disabling an attack boost, defense boost, renbu boost) would be cool too, but that's never going to happen. For the record, since Gundam Musou's been mentioned, I want to say I'd rather not see other games like that. Anybody else note how annoying it is that enemies can block your entire moveset, even musou/special attacks (even with Pressure Hit), even if they're facing the opposite direction? That's not fun, that's aggravating. Give me an enemy that will look for openings in my patterns, swing when he sees an opening (falling for feints), and encourage (while not forcing) me to use special moves - the Darknuts in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess are probably some of my favourite enemies of all time, because they're challenging, strong, and fast, but still vulnerable if you're quick on your feet...er, thumbs, and while Backslice works excellently you can also time their patterns and pre-empt one of their slices with a lunge of your own. Now that's fun. |

Yes they should improved it like DW3 and DW4 difficulty. The AI is to soft on you and it's give you way to much time to counter attack them and kick thier ass. IMO the AI should be alot stronger and fierce in future DW and SW titles.

Funny no one has mentioned the difficulty of Strikeforce yet in this topic ... When it comes to the basic DW/SW/WO game, I think the AI needs to change, absolutely. There hasn't yet been a happy medium between the mindless fodder AI and the uber-strong-kill-you-in-3-hits AI in the games I've played. If DW6 fixed this, then so be it ... I haven't played it Strikeforce AI is more aggresive from the start and enemies hit harder as you progress and become lethal on 5-star stages. Granted, they allow the enemy officers (even generics) to abuse hyper & Fury modes later on in the game, sometimes to the point of outright cheating (I'm looking at you, Lu Bu )I can say though that in all the time I've spent playing Strikeforce, I haven't had a dull moment where I feel like I don't even need to look at the screen, like I have in the past with previous games. Its remained a challenge every time I pick it up. |

As Sima Yi says, the mind will vanquish the sword. I'd much rather have some DECENT AI with DECENT brains. Sure, they need to do damage, yes, but they to be smart and at least somewhat damaging. Bottom line, have some more brains in the next game KOEI . It'll be better that way. |

I think they should improve IA, even on Chaos IA is not that good, the only difference is that if they hit you they kill you on two slices, but IA officers only guard and attack totaly random. -.- |
