I do this is all of the games. It's great doing it with Orochi (X).

That's a good question lol Well I voted for Number #2 but I think I do as often Number #1 & Number #2, it depend of played characters. I do Number #1 when the character doesn't damage a lot on horses, Number #2 when characters damage is important on horses (as Gracia or Xing Cai for example) & I try to do Number #3 when I play a SW character

The one ability for me that's always equipped is Cavalier. Ever since I first got it in the first WO I don't think I've ever gone into battle without it.

For me,well...I do everything. When I have a character with a good range,I usually get off my horse and slay the peons. If not,I normally run through them first and jump off then. And when there's a cliff,I jump down and hope that I'll hit someone and jump off afterwards.

Way back when, you know, when you couldn't trample officers with your horse, I just found it easier to jump over them and JC into them.
