Hmm,in your opinion name who has the best chance on being put in SW3. THIS IS DIFFERENT FROM THE SW3 CHARACTER WISHLIST  And Please rate them like this: my list: Ii Naomasa 10/10 Hojo Ujimasa 8/10 Mori Motonari 8/10 Saikbara Yasumasa 8/10 Takeda Katsuyori 9/10 Uesugi Kegakatsu 9/10 Fukushima Masanori 10/10 Moderator Note: To clarify the difference between this thread and mine, this thread is to note characters you believe have the BEST chance of being added to SW3, not the ones you yourself actually want in. well i would probably say all of them u mentioned well except Ujiyasu Hojo more chance of Ujimasa then his dad and Kenshin don't u mean his nephew Kagakatsu Uesugi. |

Well, I'd agree with most of that list, apart from Ujimasa, because I think that Ujiyasu would be a better add in my opinion because of the battles with Takeda and Uesugi. I'd say that the three most likely people to be added (out of that list)would be Kagekatsu, Motonari and Naomasa |

Lady Chiyome Matsu Maeda Takayama Ukon Naomassa Ii Kojuro Katakura i've discussed at least these ladies so many times, i don't see much need to elaborate, and everyone else has discussed the other three, so i think their possibilities of addition are high. |

I think Fukushima Masanori & Kato Kiyomasa are two of the most likely to get added to the franchise. Both have had fairly large roles in KOEI games before, such as NPC roles in SW2, and also in the Kessen & Kessen III. It seems to me like a fairly easy step for KOEI to therefore integrate them into SW3. |

Since Kiyomasa is in, I'd say there's a roughly 100% chance of Masanori being in also. Yoshiteru Ashikaga. The Shogun is one important, cool character that Koei and Capcom have ignored so far, so one of them is going to have to put it in eventually. Naomasa Ii, I think, have a good chance, as does Uesugi Kagekatsu and Nobuyuki Sanada. The latter, especially, since he has three directly related characters already in the game (Yukimura, Tadakatsu, and Ina). Kuroda Kanbei or Takenaka Hanbei would be likely to have a chance, and probably a Hojo. Would they add more ninjas? If they do, Chiyome Mochizuki has a good chance. Him or S. Sasuke (this is less likely since Capcom beat them to it, and he's pretty much only around for Osaka anyway). Motonari? I don't think he's very likely. He's just too early for the era. Maybe one of his sons, though. Another Shimazu? Seems unlikely. I really think T. Muneshige has a good chance of being in, here - he'd make an excellent rival to Tadakatsu (he could be the new poster boy), and also the Shimazu. Ginchiyo could have more personality by interacting with her husband. And they could expand on his "Son of the Wind General" theme if they want to retain Ginchiyo's thunder shtick. |

I don't understand why people continue to say Motonari is "too early" for the era. He died in 1571. Eleven years after Yoshimoto, and only two years before Shingen and three years before Nagamasa. They've been generous in letting Shingen, Kenshin, and Motochika live longer than they should in their stories, so there's that for Motonari as well. None of his sons are particularly good choices except maybe Kobayakawa Takakage. The most likely choice instead of Motonari would be his grandson and heir Terumoto. i think really all the ones u said in the 1st post... But i do think Hidemitsu akechi has a very high channce to because of him alreay being in a koei series game as a top char , and he is in the sengoku story as a top char i think anyway , especially mitsuhides story and nobunaga |

Well, Hidemitsu would be a good choice, especially since people want to see more that served under Mitsuhide, but some would prefer Toshimitsu Saito |

Exactly. The only reason anybody even knows him, I think, is because of Onimusha. Oh, and he rode really fast on the eve of the Battle of Yamazaki so he could kill his entire family. Or something like that. Toshimitsu > Hidemitsu. Toshimitsu even got some lines to speak to Motochika in Motochika's Oda Invasion of Shikoku stage, so I think he actually has a decent chance of inclusion. BUT IF THEY'RE IN HYPER MODE AS A GENERIC, THEY MUST BE IN THE NEXT GAME- Nah, I appreciate your posts on how and why characters would or wouldn't be good candidates for playables. Even in these games, they need at least a few major accomplishments in order for them to fit as a good playable character. If nothing else, they need a relationship with at least one other character. |

You know, i rather keep it small and simple so yea as little as playable characters possible, around 12 or so will do and make em all very versatile, for what i care have a whole damn tree and treehouse attached movesetwise. (and make them more awesome like apparently capcom could with dk/b) Leaves more space for atmosphere, good storyline and an overall way better game that does not need to leave some chars out or make chars have cloned stages etc or worse; bad stages. Who the best chance has for new character, i kind of hope for kuroda kanbei. Always read great things about this guy. (loved him popping in kessenIII aswell) |

all i can rememeber Hidemitsu doing was escaping by crosing lake Biwa i think it was called on his horse. but i would like another Akechi retainer so i can kill them i hope for Naomasa Ii and the rest of the Tokugawa Avengers also Hidetada Tokugawa could be a good add maybe not for his accomplishments but for his failures

Sheesh, and we even put the text in the first post in bright "please read me!" colors. I've never actually made a list solely of characters I want in the game actually, because a majority of them have rather little chance of inclusion. The following dudes are guys I believe have a solid chance of inclusion both based on history and how they're handled in SW1 and SW2. Saito Toshimitsu - Often with Mitsuhide in SW1/SW2. In Motochika's Oda Invasion of Shikoku, Toshimitsu is the Akechi officer who shows up along with Mitsuhide, and apologizes to his brother Motochika in that he tried what he could to stop the invasion. Asahina Yasutomo - A top officer of the Imagawa, and effectively the man-in-charge after Yoshimoto died(since Imagawa Ujizane was an incompetent leader and ran to Asahina for help.) He had a unique character model in SW1XL cutscenes. He would provide Yoshimoto a needed retainer that could probably give him a serious edge to his story or just make it more amusing. He also got to speak a lot with Yoshimoto in his version of Okehazama in SW2XL(of note is that he has the SAME personality he had in SW1XL of a loyal, veteran retainer trying to get his silly lord to get serious.) Asakura Yoshikage - A rather major NPC that interacts often with Nagamasa and Oichi, and is a notable enemy of Nobunaga. He also fought with the Saito and Honganji as well, so there's material there as well. Hojo Ujimasa - Another major NPC, and the boss man of the Odawara Castle stage in SW2(in SW1 it was his old man Ujiyasu, who is also a possible entry.) Would have MANY possibilities of interaction with Shingen, Kenshin, Yoshimoto, Nobunaga, Ieyasu, Hideyoshi, and even Masamune. Nevermind Kotaro as well. Fukushima Masanori, Kato Kiyomasa, Takeda Katsuyori, Kobayakawa Hideaki - All relatively noticeable NPCs who have unique lines and involvement in the story in some way. Mouri Motonari, Otomo Sorin, Ryuzoji Takanobu, Miyoshi Nagayoshi, Matsunaga Hisahide, Ukita Hideie, Saito Dosan, Honganji Kennyo, Satake Yoshishige - All major daimyo easily on or near the same level of importance as the likes of Motochika, Yoshihiro, Nagamasa, Masamune, and Kenshin. |

Thought. What about Yamanaka Shikanosuke? He is, I think, fairly popular in Japan, and he would have a totally kickass Musou mode. Not to mention his story would heavily involve the Mori as well. ok i will rephrase my post i think that Naomasa Ii has a good chance of being in sw3 as he was one of the main generals in the Tokugawa army one of the Tokugawa Avengers was a major general at Sekigahara and even started the battle against orders Ujimasa Hojo would make the battle of odawara better and improve fuuma's musuo mode. his family had ties with the Takeda Uesugi and Imagawa. as seraphil said about masanori, kiyomasa and others i agree with also Edited by Wei-Yan, Nov 26 2008, 02:55 PM.
