I agree about Matsu Maeda. I think she will be in it.
Currently Playing:
DW: Strikeforce - Maxing out Huang Zhong and Lu Xun. Hooray for repetitive grinding...
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite - Defeating every quest. Curse you completionism!!!
WO2 (Ps2) - TRYING to unlock Orochi Z. I do not have that kind of patience... darn proficiency levels

Games I want:
WO2 (PSP) - I just want to play as Sanzang and Benkei. Go sleeves of doom!!!
Dissidia: Final Fantasy - anyone vs. Sephiroth = Cool!

What about Sarutobi Sasuke? Not sure if someone suggested him before but he was like Shingen's right hand man, although he didn't play a great role in the Sengoku Period like other ninja - I feel that the ninja are a bit left out, they weren't bodyguards they were stealthy killing machines.

Shingen's right-hand man was more effectively Yamagata Masakage, not Sasuke. There's barely even concrete proof that Sasuke even exists, let alone that Shingen knew him.

Gotta agree with this. If he's going to be anyone's right-hand man it's going to be Yukimura. And I'd sa with the addition of him, Chiyome, and personally Momochi Sandayu we'd have all the ninjas we need. The problem comes in when we have to think of a unique style that fits that characters portrayed personality amd would still be used by a ninja.

I think it would be really interesting if they did add a Christian soldier/samurai. It would also be interesting to see how Koei handles the open mindedness of Nobunaga and the closed mindedness of Hideyoshi and Tokugawa. My guess is they would ignore both.

I'd say you are right. KOEI tends to avoid anything that could be too touchy. Just look at Gracia. Having the onl;y Christian out of the cast do magic, you know that isn't exactly the best idea if her story was going to be focused around what she is really famous for.

Yeah, it's unfortunate that these games are rated Teen (NA) and 12+ (Europe). It simply means that KOEI will never focus on sensitive subjects like Christianity or Korean War. Having subjects like that in my opinion would also mean the increase in violence and blood and we all know that's not going to happen. It's a shame, really, because it certainly wouldn't hurt the series to have more darker tone.

They don't want a lawsuit in America though, if they bring up something regarding Christianity <______________<

oh. i was just speaking of this in another thread. i don't see how anyone could be offended as long as KOEI stuck to basically history the way it happened? christianity was huge part of the Sengoku era. if KOEI just told the story the way history records it, i think it would be a fine addition. as LoW said with SW2 the series became a little bland and copied DW a bit too much, a return to the darker SW1 tone would not upset me one bit.

Meh, someone, somewhere, is always going to be offended no matter what is done. That said, KOEI will probably never delve too deep into the religious conflicts of the era simply because it's always a hot button topic that they are more likely to get into trouble with, no matter if it is presented in a factual way.

And the Korean Campaigns will definitely never get more than a mention in passing unless KOEI really feels like stirring up controversy.

I don't get how that'd stir up controversy. It wouldn't be bad to add those battles. It'd be like the best battles in the SW games

welcome to the forum. perhaps you could elaborate on which character you might be interested in seeing added to those respective clans?

Well as far as I know, there is still tension between Japan and Korea today that stems back that far. And yes it even effects video games. In the Korean version of Soul Calibur, Mitsuguri is completely taken out of the game and replaced with Arthur because, from my own knowledge, there is basically a ban on anything to do with samurai.

Now granted this probably isn't the hold story, but that being said, the chances of Korean campaign are still slim to none.

well if they basically have a ban on samurai i doubt they would even have the samurai warrior games in korea.

also mitsuguri was replaced in the korean edition by hwang in soul edge. then in soulcalibur 1 they made a clone of him but didnt take him out of the game

also i dont think south korea has a probem with japan. north korea and japan though. lets just say that relationship is not going to get better.

I think a Hojo will be likely to be added...
maybe Ujimasa or Soun?

I think Hosokawa Tadaoki and Mochizuki Chiyome (taking the place of Kunoichi)

I think Oda Nobutada could have a good story from when Nobunaga died and when he killed afterwards

Seeing as SW2 expanded into the later period of the Sengoku Era, the Toyotomi and Tokugawa would be likely choices to get new characters.

Tokugawa Hidetada perhaps?

if they brought in hideyori and hidetada they could have some rivalry between the two . . . hideyori supposedly being the next heir and hidetada and his father wanting the land for their clan! but then again we would have to delve more into the latter part of the Sengoku period.

who has the best chance? Naomasa li and Kiyomasa Kato, i believe just based on them being the great warriors that they were . . .

my hopes, however, lie with Lady Chiyome because she could add more to the Takeda and give them a 'historically-accepted' ninja and kennyo honganji because i loved him in the first game . . .

Yeah, that rivalry element seems like a good idea. I think the Western clans will be expanded as well, the Shimazu, Tachibana or Otomo possibly to add more depth to the Kyushu levels.

yes i want Matsu Maeda as well. but WHO IS SHE? all i know was she was a body guard name. does anyone know who she really is?

now i think we should see some one from the Myoshi clan, the Mogami clan and the Mori clan.
