Everyone starts out small Believe me, I know about it. But the more you sew, model and work with different kinds of fabric and other materials, the more secure you get and the easier it is to create them Since I started cosplaying, I've also been making normal clothes for a friend and once in a while for myself. Or smaller projects, like sewing a toy following an instruction. These little projects didn't use up much fabric, thus it wasn't that critical to mess up and usually it was some sort of cheap fabric too Thought it does belong in another thread, I'm willing to give suggestions or help finding things for any kind of cosplay Just give a call.

Edit: I tried magnifying this picture with photoshop but the original is too small and just comes out too blurry to work with. Maybe if someone has SUPER HIGH RES scans of the data book they can blow it up for you. For plain reference this one is pretty good. Or you might consider trying to duplicate the simplified version on Yuran's costume (Since she already posted this to the community I'm guessing she won't mind if I share. If she does ask though I'll be more than happy to take it down). Yuran says she commissions most of her costumes, you might ask her who made the talisman and if they used a patter/would share it. I'm going to re-try with the image you linked That was my emergency-plan in the worst case.

Just keep trying until you get one you like, then photocopy it or something so you don't lose it and use it to make a template.

After fiddling around what seemed forever, I finally curshed the idea of re-designing it myself and instead grabbed a picture and re-sized the talisman, before going over it with the "magic and holy graphic tablet" I have had in my possession since christmas. Here is the talisman (in simple colors of yellow and purple) for all attempting Taigong Wang. Taigong Wang's talisman Just re-size it to whatever size you need for your costume Maybe we could make a link collection or some sort of gallery for all reference material that has been posted here to each and every character?

Breaker of Destined Fate Posts: 591 Group: Members Member #12,299 Joined: December 30, 2007	Nicely done! -saves it- I actually collect massive amounts of costuming reference material on the Warriors characters (obsessively renamed and cataloged) just in case someone needs them, but it would be amazing to be able to build a site that kept track of each costume everyone made step by step to help others. Rachel alone would be able to amply supply some of the hardest characters, and if Kaman and Laura pitched in how they made their costumes it would be AMAZING.

And I'll probably be doing Taigong in summer/fall. Depends on how fast I work. Is there a detailed picture of the 4th weapon? I'm used to seeing the third one with the pink rod and the torquise dragon-shaped head on the end. As I'm not to fond of pink I was wondering what the 4th one looks like.
