Posts: 371 Group: Members Member #20,437 Joined: January 17, 2009 Gender Female	Manji Feb 4 2009, 01:50 AM Ahaha, speaking of wigs... you know I bought a plastic wig for my YY cosplay, and I uh.... tried to straighten it with a hair straightener (omg, so stupid, NEVER try this!). Well, it melted the plastic immediately, luckily I noticed, but there was still a rectangular patch of frazzled hair in the back of my wig. Still noticeable up close. >_< Thankfully it didn't discolor though, so it wasn't too bad. I just felt like a major idiot. Should be common sense to not add heat to plastic, but truth be told, I had no idea what wigs where made out of. Depending on the kind of wing the only way I know of straightening out hair is to was it and rub it half dry, combing it and then putting heavy, thick books on the parts that aren't straightened. If possible - sit down onto them too. Well, there is one other thing I once tried - a comb, hair wax/hair gel and hair spray. Again it depends on the material of the wig, as not all wigs can be modeled and styled with those. e.g. The cheap carneval wigs, where you see it's unreal hair right away - and not because of the color. ~~ Back to the main topic: If I had the material and the skills, along with the face, I'd love to do Lu Bu _* Out of all the characters he seemes to be the one with the most difficoult outfit. As it is, I neither have that kind of talent (yet) nor the money to purchase the correct materials. Thus my cosplay is gonna be Taigong Wang this year. And one day I might do Yukimura Sanada and if I feel brave enough - Nu Wa. Mah... I wish there were Nu Wa and Fu Xi cosplayers in Germany in my area, then we could make my beloved trio ^^

I love his masks! I would also like to do Liu Bei from DW6. I would cosplay him when kuni does SSX, due to their relationship. Pang Tong from SF would be a lot of fun too! Running around as a giant moth with that long nose mask! WEI: Sima Yi or Zhang He. They are pretty! Cao Cao from SF would bw awesome! But the problem with the SF people would be the glowing... and that's the cool part! XD WU: I'd love to do Gan Ning, but I don't have the muscle mass or the tattoos... >,> I'd do any version of him, but particularly DW6/SF. I adore Ling Tong's outfits all over, so him in general. I have long hair already, so I can just put it in a pony tail. Zhou Yu from DW6 too, especially SF when his hair is down. OTHER: I want to crossplay Meng Huo and Zhu Rong with kuni. She drew a cute female outfit for Meng Huo a few months back. Yuan Shao from SF would be nifty too... SAMURAI WARRIORS: Magoichi, obviously. I want to start with him. I am going to try and carve one of his guns from a solid piece of wood. I am not sure what type of wood to start with yet. Mitsuhide with his beautiful hair! I love hair! Hair hair hair! Nagamasa, although a bit of a goob, would be kinda fun to run around as, constantly yelling about duty and honor... >,> I am not tall enough to do Kotarou, but I do so luvs him with his creepiness. Kojiro would also be fun. For his weapon I would probably use an actual laundry drying pole, just as a joke. Non-Koei stuff: From WoW, I have a few personal heros. Lord Tirion Fordring, and Highlord Bolvar Fordragon. King Wrynn has been absent for most of the universe, so I would not go as him. The Blood Elves would be easy for me to do, but they are traitors and were the cause of the first invasion of the Burning Legion. (BiasedtowardsNightElveswhut?) Touga Kiryuu, from Utena is another cosplay that I would enjoy mightily. Oh, and Youji, from Weiss Kreuz! I think that's it for my dream list... o,0

But my hair is the right length, the main trick would be pulling off the beard (I'd have to grow it out into that pointy thing, and get rid of these damn red corner bits so that they match the rest), and of course that fantastically elaborate and beautiful robe. Barring that, I'd also be willing to take a shot at Kojiro Sasaki's 3P outfit from WO2. Again it's someone I have the hair for... I got a friend of mine two fabric-fans of about the same size, which she re-colored with fabric paint. Breaker of Destined Fate Posts: 591 Group: Members Member #12,299 Joined: December 30, 2007	Liu Xian: technically that SSX costume is from DW4, it was her alternate and came in both a white and red version with slightly longer hair. DW5 just revisited the alternate costume/alternate color schemes rather than creating new costumes for the third and four slots. XD I bring this up because it's one of my favorite costumes too and I BELIEVE if you pick up DW4 Empires you can get a reeeeaaaally good look at the costume, but let me double-check that before you go running out to buy it if you don't already own it.

I think if you used some kind of stilts, because you'd run into the same dilemma I have with Al and that's the only way I could think of doing it. I think for any of us wanting to do a mech type costume, we need some of these, as well as a good friend to help us up if we fall Jumping Stilts They retail for under $400. But I mean when you are already investing so much time, you want it to look as close to real as possible. You'd have the added problem of having to be careful not to make the costume top heavy too.
