Iv been thinking that i might buy DW6 for the ps2. (Its only like $30 lmao) I really want to try out the new weapons and story and everything. So do you guys think its worth getting? Or does it suck.

In terms of gameplay, it's almost a total downgrade from the PS3. If that's what's important to you; stick with the PS3 version. If the characters who received storylines and new movesets matter to you, though - then I'd suggest getting it. Like you noted, it's cheap. |

I think it's quite good actually; DW6 Special - however, if you're expecting a tons of expansion, you better wait for Empires instead. |

Couple of new levels, 6 characters added a story and new weapon... I would not even think of buying it. Besides, the PS3 version looks better anyway, so I'd stick with that. But it's all up to you. |

Nah dont buy it if you have or getting DW6 for PS3/X360 .Also Empires is on the road with only 3 months left . To say nothing about DW7 which if I were (correct and I often when it comes with KOEI ) will be released either in the end of the coming year or in the first Quarter of 2010 . So , this game is just a service for those who still are not able to get one of the current gen systems . |

Considering this is a month old, I'm sure you've already made your decision, but I'll add my opinion on the matter as someone who has the 360 version. The only reason I'd consider getting it is for the musou modes that were left out of the original. And even then there's only 1 (Ling Tong), perhaps 2 (Taishi Ci, although Koei has notoriously mucked up his story and personality with every single game so...) that I'd even want it for. Not worth personally. I'll just back up what was said before with a minor addition: unless ALL of the characters who got decloned and recieved storylines are important to you, then its not worth it. Take your 30 bucks and go see a good movie or two  I'm just gonna wait for Empires for the declones, and hope Koei remembers DLC for the rest :3 Edited by Kittn, Jan 12 2009, 11:11 AM.

Really only for those who never got the PS3/360 version. I must say, playing this for the first time, without any knowledge on DW6's new system, it actually felt refreshing. |

If you don't have a PS3 or 360 then sure. But if you do, then....... NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Its draw distance is horrible on the ps2, peons constantly disappear as you swing your weapon. |

After over 30 hours of dying, restarting files and a large body count. I can now say I completed Empires on Chaos.  9996... 9997... 9998... 9999... Agghh why can't I get 10,000 KO's, curse you Koei!!!! Noobs, you get one hit Chaos? You deserved to be crushed! Looking for someone who can make a awesome DW sig, please PM me if you are interested. Personally, I say it's worth getting, but the removal of swimming and duels makes it a little upsetting if you have both. |

To tell you the truth Dynasty Warriors 6 Special is worth it eevn if you have the 360/ps3 all you have to have is a lot of patience The graphics arent bad at all their pretty decent and the 6 new weapons and musous are good especially with new stages and i forgot how many scenarios but still a lot All it has it bad lag.... |

Paying an additional 30 on top of something you were likely to have obtained at $60 for only a 1/3rd of new content with downgraded graphics, removal of some features and higher amount and likelihood of slowdown is not really worth it. People who have DW6 for the ps3 or 360 are better off just getting Empires or waiting for DW7. Edited by Daosiying, Jun 5 2009, 10:54 AM.

Well,besides I'm in europe and can't play the game,for only 6 stories,6 new movesets,and the lack of swimming,worse graphics and this horrible lag,well,I wouldn't waste 30$ just to play the six stories. What else should I do? Maxing all characters? I did that in the original DW6 and certainly DON'T want to do that again. And I have to agree with Jsun,stop insulting other people. |

i think it is, with the addition of ma chao's story it is awesome. i like how they did it. it was to the book... yue ying story was ok.... you can't swim but ahh it's ps2 so... i liked it it is worth it to those who want EVERY GAME and i am one of those people guah ha ha.. |

i can't think of a better reason to buy it than that^, swimming was/is POO. that and Zhang He's Musou Mode and MS makeover are brilliant. |

Zhang He's attacks are fabulous, for lack of a better word xD I wish I had Special, so I could see his cutscenes in English. I knew Koei was holding out, and only gave us a taste of what was to come with the PS3/X360 cutscenes in Cao Cao and Sima Yi's Musou Mode cutscenes. |

yes i agree that giving zhang he his claws back improved is better. it shows in dw6e. when he rides a horse and does a summersalt on it that is amazing. i created a girl with claws also and to see her do those moves oh yeah well she 's hot... |
