I am still playing the ROTK 11 PC version. To me, its still the best so far.

I am playing the fantasy mode whereby on 253AD, all the warlords exist at the sametime on the land of china. So i created my own warlords and 12 others generals and started my campaign at Ping Yuan. and after years of fighting, i killed Gong Sun Zan, LuBu, and Ended Cao Cao's empire. i m occupying close 45 % of the cities/land on china. my cities comprises; ping yuan (and all the northern states), xia pi, xiao pi, bei hai, shou Chun and Chen Liu..and one more i cant pronounce.

My fiercest enemy now is only the Liu Bei's army whom occupied at least 55-60% of the land now.

Now liu bei's army is fiercely attacking shou Chun and Chen Liu, 2 cities i know i cannot afford to lost. But his armies of at least 50 thousand (at one time) keep coming...

My once strong armies now after years of fighting with him is slowly deteriorating...all my rear cities do not have many soldiers left...but when i see what is behind of liu bei's army, at least 100 thousand strong troop ready to mount wave after wave of attack on my shou chun and chen liu....

i dont know how long i can last..my only tactic now is to kill all the top generals and advisor (clever ppl) when i catch them...so that his armies will be deprived of good leaders ...

i know i am too engrossed in this game..but i hope i can pull thru and win eventually.....

just to share what i am playing now.....

hope to hear from those who play this games too..

Use districts. They make the game 100 times easier when having a huge forces. Also, try to send gifts and stop the war until you rebuild your forces. Searching for officers, and employing his is a very useful tactics as his high number of troops will do no good if he didn't have capable officers to lead them. After you send gifts and rebuild your power, slowly approach his army, first annual your alliance and attack them, make sure you have planely of troops, food, weapons, seiges and officers at the said city and nail em. Saving every so often is also a life saver in all ROTK games.

thanks for the advise..wat i did was killing all the generals i caught from liu bei...the 5 tiger generals are dead. including many other like

zhou tai, taichi qi, deng ai, gan ning, Qi Ling, xu chu and many more. Now this tactics pay off as the officers and general they sent to lead the troops are easy meats.

Well, i could use a little help with my campaign too.

I created 10 officers (based on a story i've once written, had to come up with Chinese names tho :/ ) and created a force in Shang Yong in the Dong Zhuo campaign.

After developing the city, i mobilized my army to take down Han Zhong. Yan Pu tried to attack Shang Yong with 5000 horsemen, but failed and got captured. Zhang Lu only had 8000 soldiers left in Han Zhong, so i easily took down Han Zhong.

Yuan Shu tried to attack Shang Yong as well, but he failed too and i captured Ji Ling and some other officers. Huang Zhong also joined me around this time.

After that, i focused on an alliance with Dong Zhuo while repelling attacks from Liu Yan. Once i was allied with Dong Zhuo, i moved south to capture the weakened Zi Tong. 3 turns of drilling later, i attacked Cheng Du which was only defended by Wu Lan (altho Zhang Ren and Yan Yan arrived there later on). I took the city and captured all of Liu Yan's officers (i have an officer with the Capture skill :sly: and 70 in all stats)

Liu Yan was a sitting duck, and i took over all of his cities (Jiang Zhou, Jian Ning and Yong An) and i captured Yun Nan as well.

Liu Biao was my next target, and Dong Zhuo assisted me. Dong Zhuo took Xin Ye, i obtained Xiang Yang and Jiang Ling. Also, Liu Biao had some powerhouses in his service like Pang De, Zhao Yun, Chen Dao and Gan Ning. They're all working for me now :hehe:

And now i'm faced with a difficult choice: should i attack Dong Zhuo right away or take down Sun Jian first (he's got the 4 southern commanderies of Jing). Dong Zhuo's left the western part of the land and Jing province undermanned (15000 in each city, shouldn't be a problem since i've got 100000 soldiers ready in Han Zhong and Shang Yong), but Dong Zhuo still has a massive army. But also, i have to stop him from getting more powerful since he's going for the north and Xia Pi.

On the other hand, if i attack Sun Jian now, i could properly prepare for an invasion and get the Sun family and their powerful officers under my command. Plus the southern commanderies could serve as a backbone for the invasion (recruiting troops, saving food and transport it to the north while making artillery in Jiang Ling and Xiang Yang). But by then, Dong Zhuo could've strenghtened his defenses or worse, he could end the alliance and attack me while i'm taking Sun Jian down.

What should i do?

I think you should attack Sun Jian first, judging from your description, one swift perfectly timed attack can take him down. It also seems that the game progressed far so I don't think poor old Dong Zhuo will live forever, whenever that happens, employ his officers. Try not to lose alotta time and resources on Sun Jian so that you can pincer Dong Zhou quickly. I'm sure Yuan Shao is more than capable of holding him back.

If you tried to attack Dong Zhou directly first, which maybe a good strategy too, try using Sun Jian to your advantage but try not to give him many cities. Either ways, saving a back up seems good, whenever you get into a tough position, repair your relations with the said force by gifts.

Thx 4 the advice Nasser. :) I'm going to attack Sun Jian first, especially since his main force is at Chang Sha. The 3 other cities he has are kinda weak and i managed to gather a large army in Jiang Ling and Yong An already.

Also, Yuan Shao's not the only one in the north: Gongsun Zan still has Ji, Bei Ping and Xiang Ping. Plus, there's Liu Bei at Ping Yuan and Xu province. I don't think any of them will hold out against Dong Zhuo.

I'm gonna try to quickly take down Sun Jian, and then get Dong Zhuo's attention (hopefully before he conquers any more cities).

Thx again Nasser.

I like 11 due to the fun you can manually control the fight (again, since after 6) and how you can challenge lubu to a debat!
