Okay, for the time being let's gather gameplay discussions for grunt mobile suits here. Assuming all grunt MS are returning from GM1 and are really available to assemble, here's the current list.
...though I wonder whether the ones in * deserve to be considered grunt MS even if they are later to be confirmed to be available only by assembling at MS Lab....

At least we know what the Collection missions are for now. I wonder though if some of these will be harder to unlock than others. Like in the first game Zaku IIs were all over the place but Zeongs for example were only in a few stages. It should be pretty fun gathering the parts for them all though. |

True and This Ms Lab might bring down the games points if you cant mix parts and the grunts they chose should have been more interesting.I mean its good and all but by watching the animes you know whats going to be in there movesets. But just to state a prediction next week scn will probaly finally go into the Au centries. Hopefully |

the thurth is that they can't add anymore pilot so they have to put a suit like Gelgoog,Re-GZ or Geara in MS lab |

I'm hoping many parts will be scattered throughout the different modes. Also I'm sure some will be similar to each other. And if I'm correct about them taking time to collect, then I guess that's something for the replay value or for those perfectionists. |

I'm VERY excited about using these Grunts, though I don't really want them to be too easy to obtain! I'm assuming that the 'Collection Missions' will be the main way to get them, but I'd prefer it if every level had one or two Parts to collect that would then eventually make up a certain Grunt the more you collected from different missions (ie. like doing 5 different missions for 5 different characters modes collecting 5 different Parts will get you one whole and completed Grunt/Fodder). Ideally, they should be around the difficulty of the 4th/5th weapons from Samurai Warriors 2, and NOWHERE near the same difficulty of the Items in Warriors Orochi 2, but with that same effect, nowhere near as difficult as unlocking Shin Orochi. Replayability and sensibly hard difficulty, please! Edited by Osiris, Dec 5 2008, 08:44 PM.

So, for those who have the game, how is the Zeong? Does it still have the ridiculously long-range square strings that the NPC-only version had in DWG1/GM1?

I've been playing it for a few days now and I've only ever seen the Zeong once. It was also the only time I ever got a part for the freakin' thing. |

Well, that sucks. Doesn't sound like many people would even have it unlocked in the first place.

Mind you, I haven't played any Collection missions so perhaps someone else who has can clarify if you can get its parts through there. Otherwise you'll be hoping for an encounter during a stage or casting the dice in Development mode in the MS Lab. |

I've played as the Zeong for a bit. Quite a good suit actually. It still has the shooting fists as its normal attack string, but they are quite effective. It's C4 is great for crowds, while C3 can deal good damage to aces. It's best point is it's SP attack, though. It shoots out a large spread shot of beams that are very damaging and is extremely effective against downed MA's. |

The Zeong is one of the suits I'm most looking forward to playing. I was letting it kick my butt on Amuro's last story mission in the first game just so I could see all of its attacks XD |

Haha. Did the same thing with the Zeong and the Bound Doc in DWG1 myself. |
