Any of you guys watch detective shows? I love solving a mystery although some shows make it too easy at times they still prove to be entertaining. I like Law and Order, I love Psych and Monk they are both hilarious, and occasionally I'll watch the various CSI shows. |

Im sick of all the crime shows, there are too many. Every network seems to have at least 5 or more, they get repetitive. I enjoyed watching CSI a bit, some of the stuff is very interesting. But now there are two other CSIs and 3 Law & Orders. And there seems to be some new crime show every week or so, its lost its originallity. What USA provides is bit different though, Monk and Psych are unique. But these type of shows in general arnt my highest interest to watch in a show. |

I do have to agree with that sadly, like the Mentalist. I was bored and watched it and my god it was so boring and unoriginal. They've had some real doozies that come and go where there is a detectice that travels time, thereis a detective who uses his hallucinations to solve crime, there was one who spoke to the dead. Obviously ran out of ideas. But I still love the genre and the shows I mentioned before. |

Law & Order: SVU, Psych and Monk are my top choices. The last two make for great humorous moments while allowing a clearer story for viewers to follow and solve(Monk's particularly simple compared to the other two). Sometimes I'll watch CSIS, NCIS, Cold Case, Bones and one of the many other shows out there, though not as often as the first three. I caught a minute of the Mentalist, but the idea of it being like Psych minus the comedy turned me down quickly. But, yeah, there's tons of crime shows. There used to be three CSI shows, and now I just found out about a new Law & Order series coming out. |

British Detective shows are far superior to the mass produced American poop (I do like NCIS though). Midsummer Murders is my favourite. |

Detective shows (more specifically, crime shows) are my favorite, I enjoy them very much. All 3 Law & Orders are phenomenal and are on the top of my favorites list, Psych & Monk are great and on my favorites list as well, CSI is entertaining (though I don't watch it much and when I do I prefer the older episodes; I don't like the spin-offs), I'm getting into NCIS now that USA Network shows it, & Raines (the cancelled NBC show with Jeff Goldblum who suffered from delusions of the victims). I also like In Plain Sight, though that show is about U.S. Marshalls and not detectives. I'm a huge fan of the process of our legal system and watching court dramas, so I'm drawn to these shows. I hated all of these shows some time ago, but a friend got me into watching Law & Order: SVU and my love for the genre has grown tremendously since then. I'd be lost without them. I somewhat agree with you, bain_nick. While I never watch North American detective shows (except some of the old ones, like "Columbo", "Murder, She Wrote" *Jessica Fletcher FTW XD*, etc.), I enjoy "Midsomer Murders", those rare times I watch TV. Other European ones are good too, for example I liked "Derrick". |

- Medium - In Plain Sight - Law & Order - Law & Order: Criminal Intent - Law & Order: Special Victims Unit - Psych - Monk - NCIS - CSI - CSI: New York - CSI: Miami Those are all of the crime/detective shows I watch on a regular basis. So needless to say I thrive on them. Actually, I need them. The genre is just too good to give up. |

I watch a few some being Law & Order: SVU, NCIS, and sometimes Monk and Psych from time to time. Law & Order: SVU I watch alot especially when they do marathons on TV. The show really knows how to keep me preoccupied when there is nothing else to watch. NCIS has became another one I started to watch more recently. I love Ziva and Abby, they make me laugh.

The only detective show I really watch is Monk. It's so funny ^o^ It doesn't hurt my simpleton mind. xD I absolutely hate it when on a detective show they have a female character who is obviously added for sex appeal and try to pass her off as a real detective or mortician or whatnot while she's got low cut shirts and tight little skirts on. UGH. |

Lol yeah, they're amazing. Abby is my favorite character on the show. To quote DiNozzo on the newest episode, "She's the happiest goth you'll ever meet." ------- Since my last post, I've started watching Bones and NCIS: Los Angeles. NCIS: LA is shaping up to be incredible, just as good as the original. And Bones is slowly becoming one of my favorite shows. I love the characters and I love the way Brennan & Booth interact with each other. And Brennan is hilarious with how blunt and non-subtle she is. She's extremely intelligent but she's clueless. It's great. I'm also going to try to get into Cold Case, Criminal Minds, & The Mentalist. I just hope I like them enough to add them to my growing list of crime shows.
