Assuming you can have any relation with any character in the game, what relations with characters are you going to try and have with each character you play? I dont know about you guys, but personally this is one of the biggest draws for me to buy this game... Main: Kira Ally with: -Lacus, for obvious reasons -Athrun, same as above -Luna, you never really see these two interact with each other in the show, so Im curious as how they will in the game. -Amuro, since Kira is supposedly a "ripoff" of Amuro, Im curious to see how these two will interact with each other as well. Plus...doesnt Kira outrank Amuro?  -Loran, they both seem to have the same mindset, it just seems natural they should work together. Fight against: -Shin, since theyre supposed to be "rivals" for the game I suppose. Plus, Im not much of a shin fan anyways. -Heero, from what Ive seen Wing and Seed seem to be the two most well known of the Gundam series in the States (or perhaps I should say "outside of japan"?), so it seems kind of fitting that the two main characters of each show go at it. -Jerid, I never really liked him. It will be nice to finally be able to take care of him with my favorite character/mobile suit. -Yazan, same as above. Main: Athrun Ally with: -Kira and Lacus Fight against: -Shin, more shin hate. -Char, the two pimps (and pilots of red mobile suits) of their respective series going at it seems amuzing -Amuro, wasnt there a gundam game where Amuro thought Athrun was Char due to the red mobile suit? lol I kind of want to see that again. Main: Shinn Ally: - Domon, so he can show to Shinn how to use finger/palm attack effectively - Master Asia, same reason with above - Gym, also same reason with above Palma Fiocina + God/Burning finger + Darkness finger + Shining finger = Ownage!!  - Sarah Zabiarov, she's among my favourite female characters  - Haman Karn, because she's the best female pilot - Heero, he is Master Asia's new apprentice, so he need to follow Master Asia Enemy: - Kira, the reason is pretty obvious - Athrun, because he bullied Haman in IJ gameplay video  - Lacus, the only reason Bandai make her playable is because they want to give us opportunity to kill her - Emma, no reason actually, just for fun only |

Some specific relations I'd like to see: Uso x Katejina Sarah vs Reccoa Seabook x Judau (Well I remember seeing a vs snapshot of them before, but I'm more intrigued about what if they team up and both shout "Nantooo!!"  )Scirocco with Katejina Athrun x Char Ramba Ral vs Milliardo Anyway, in general, for SEED characters, I'd like to make friends with Lunamaria (because her seiyuu is one of my top favorites  ), then for Shinn and Athrun I'm rather neutral, but I'm going to make as many people as possible to be hostile against Jesus Yamato and his 'dark wife'.

Ive been racking my brain for the past few days now, but I havent come up with much in terms of teams and such. But, I have been inspired by a few posts that Ive seen around so... Shin: Ally: -Kamille, I also heard that these two seem to get along well. Im curious to see how so. -Char, just a random team. I want to see how these two would interact. Enemies: -Ramba Ral, hey if he could give Amuro a wake up call, it makes me wonder what he could do for Shin. Heero: Ally: -Kira, changed my mind on this one since apparently these two have worked together before. -Athrun, I kinda want to see these two interact as well -Lacus, I wonder if she would remind him of Releena. Enemies: -Shin, I just wonder what he would think of Shins attitude. -Char, we only got a slight glimpse of these two in GM1 fighting against each other. Now that Char has Sazabi, I think well see a much more interesting fight. Also, Id like to add Kamille to Kiras Enemy list. Just another interesting fight Id like to see. |

Judau ally Puru and Puru Two- He can't get rid of them even if he tried! Char- I'd like to see this because Char is very mature, and Judau still has stuff to learn. Haman- Just to see it would be like did he did side with her for some reason. Maybe just those to start with and he can pick up more people as he fights. Enemies Kira- apart from my general dislike for this guy, and like to see his fancy weapons go up and the High Mega Canon, plus think how much Judau could get for the Strike Freedom at the junk shop! Roux- They always seem to fall out over something, so I guess this can turn into Roux Vs. Judau. and anymore enemies he probably gets is due to his allies. (this is just a way of not writing anymore names and reasons) |

Char and Yazan. If only Kacricon Cacooler was a playable character. I always thought his name was the absolute best...So anyone other than me notice that Gundam creators love the number four. Char changes his name to Quattro, that's spanish...Quatre is french. They didn't even hide it with four. lol |

There is a bit of sadness about the relationship scheme it's not on the thinking of oh because I want this ally to be with me all the time or I want to face this rival...most of the missions and unlocking other things like licenses or unlockable characters or making it easier to unlock rank 4 parts are all based on this relationship stuff....technically it feels like you need almost 80% of your relationships to be on a good note to get everything in this game. There are very few relationships where it won't affect you in any way....so it's kinda sad to say this but if you really want to collect every thing you gotta pretty much befriend mostly everyone... |

Domon/Amuro/Heero: Close Allies: Any of the other two since all three are higher ranked than the SEED boys and have my three favorite Gundams. Other Allies: Master Asia: Everytime I've worked with him he never lets me down plus it will make great conversations between him Domon and Heero. Athrun Zala: He is a possibility since he is the only one of the SEED characters that I actually liked. Char: What more is there to say? Enemies: Shin and Kira: Never liked them even though I watched Gundam SEED I could never get into the fan's complete devotion, Kira in particular due to the director overpowering him. Loran: The whiny pacifist must die!!! |

Amuro Ray (Both Loran and Amuro are excellent pilots who tried their best to serve just causes while leaving the political machinations to those who were more suited to it. It's just that, unlike Loran, Blex and Revil didn't manage to make it out of the conflicts they were embroiled in. To that end, these two seem like perfect allies.) Actually it's not a mode to assemble the mobile suit basically once you collect all 5 pieces the mobile suit automatically becomes playable...there pretty much is no place to change color and stuff...there is things like add attachments and upgrade the stats of the pieces and that's pretty much it. ...Development is another thing you could do with pieces generally you pretty much sacrifice a piece and it randomly gives a piece which presumable could be better or worse....but at the same token it raises your tech lvl....the tech lvl helps with your attachments and also upgrades I believe....for example some attachments you won't be able to have until tech lvl is higher...tech lvl goes up to 10 so try to max it out and after that development is almost pretty much useless then... As some stated in other parts of this board rank 4 piece is where you would want to go for but it requires certain missions to be done generally you have to beat an extra mission and usually they are on hard mode....and in order to unlock these missions you must have good relationships with such and such and all that..... |

You're correct this is very time consuming as for mentioned. Another issue is you can't always access the part you wish to upgrade or make attachment changes it is randomly decided after missions. So for example each time you decide to upgrade if I recall it is about 6 pieces are available to upgrade at one time you must first finish a mission before they are upgraded and it's the same that goes for attachments can only make 6 attachment changes at once I think..Any ways....the downfall also is when you make upgrades and attachments those pieces can't be used for missions at that time. So basically at those times I suggest using another mobile suit that you aren't upgrading or changing attachment on. A factor to increase the speed of having the pieces you want to have upgraded and attachment is the usuage of the mobile suit. I noticed almost 70% of the time a piece of the mobile suit I use is always in the attachment or upgrade...but generally it's a piece i don't need upgraded or need change to attachment no more....thus I don't like this system as much....since sometimes i just have one piece needing to upgrade towards the end and it just won't seem to get there.

Ouch...but with 60 some odd MS and tons of new pilots i'm not going to complain, at least it's not half as shocking as Koei's transition from DW5 to DW6...that was an utter atrocity. |
