Organization XIII's Number XV Posts: 2,691 Group: Junior Moderators Member #7,921 Joined: June 13, 2007 Gender Male	Alright, I FINALLY got a copy of the game. But there are 2 problems: 1. Except for the opening intro, NONE of the cutscenes work! I don't really mind it though for some reason. 2. Disc swapping won't work! When it prompts me to enter the SW2 disc and I do, it says I entered the wrong disc. Then when I reenter the SW2XL disc it still says wrong disc!

I don't know about you but there are places where I've had them fixed before. Though I must say even then, I sometimes found myself having to do it again a month or so later. So it depends on the luck you have with your PS2, I suppose. Use taking it to Sony as your last option because I've heard they charge lots of cash. Like the price of a new console, cash. I'm playing mine on my over 1 year PS3 system. However, if I were to on my PS2 I doubt it'll work or last as long. So what I'm saying here is, have you ever considered getting a new PS2?

No, and at one point I did suggest it to my parents and friends, they said no. The same thing seems to happen with my copies of DW5XL and DBZ:BT3. Disc swapping and vice versa doesn't seem to work. I could always try to get the lens fixed, but I'm not sure if I can scrape up the coin for it. Around in the Philippines, last time I got my PS2 repaired (5 years ago) it costed P1,500. Hopefully, with the slow decline of the PS2, it would be cheaper by now. 5th weapon are probably the last thing I'd do though. Besides I can always play the old characters in free mode anyway, so I'll just save up money and kill time to level up the old characters in free mode.

Posts: 4,418 Group: Members Member #749 Joined: February 21, 2006 Gender Male	If you guys are looking for some challenge, you should play Story modes on Expert with fresh characters. I reseted Katsuie, Kojiro, Motochika and Gracia. It definitely isn't easy... Generals can OHKO you with one dash attack (in Gracia's case, one normal slash might be enough) and your constantly running away and spamming your True Musou. I recommend using a weapon with high defense (like Motochika's 5th) since it makes things so much easier. Without defense, you will be using soft reset often >_>.

Though in the latter you can actually tell whenever you are going to get one, as whenever a yelllow unit woman shows up by defeating her you automatically get an orb. Whereas in the story modes you won't be able to tell until the end of the level.

Elite Soldier Posts: 34 Group: Members Member #6,544 Joined: April 4, 2007	you can get more orbs on mercenary mode. Its reealy rare to get them in Story mode. Tho every time i play merc mode, and get an orb, i usually get Dex, and range . really hard to get some attack or defense orbs. Im also trying to get an Ice orb, tho havent had luck on getting that. I usually spend the orbs on the 4th or 5th weapon, depending on which one i like and what character weapon it is.

They give your weapon a element (ice, demon, lightning, fire or wind). You can just select the orb and attach it to a weapon already with one, to replace it, or to give a weapon an element. @megaPatron: Same here, it's only worth changing your 4th or 5th weapon unless you have a full empty slot 3rd and need something strong to get your 4th, then I think its worth the sacrifice.

I even decided to change the previous weapon to another with more slots, and so I gave it an orb as well since I knew getting it will be tricky. Then I will get his 5th after that.

I was surprised, really :mellow: No, but I did try to use Mitsuhide and Nobunaga in the stage to find secret dialog. But I got nothing. Thanks for the heads-up. Edit: Yeah, he replaces some of Toshiie's text and talks to Nobunaga during the late stage of the level.

And turning invisible makes the game slow. Yellow as in the image sign for it? It should be purple. Or do you mean the effect? Because the only effect that it could be is a level 3 musou which gives you a yellow glow. And a cheat? Yuck. You shouldn't really expect a game without glitches using cheats. @skyfirefly: It does work on the PS2 from all the posts I've read: 1. Get to a battle where you go against a yellow female unit that ambushes you, always giving you an orb. 2. Choose to not save it and soft rest on the main screen. (start + select) 3. Load Mercenary Mode again and do the same. Even though you're not saving it, the orbs are always kept safe. But obviously make sure you save after every battle, so you are able to load the level again. And you have to safe after every battle due to you not knowing when the yellow female unit will appear.
