Um..so I'm kind of having trouble on this stage; I know it's supposedly really easy but I'm just a poor player and an even poorer navigator.  We've finished the other story modes so it's somewhat frustrating to be held up at such an early stage in the SW synopsis. We have trouble once we reach Kanetsugu Naoe, after the fire has taken place. We eliminate all the soldiers/generals and so forth, but even so he remains in the fire until all his life has been depleted. I know there must be some way to stop the fire, and that in doing so it will probably cause movement to him, but I don't know how to stop it. I thought there must be a sorcerer but cannot find him on officers list. Any help is greatly appreciated and I apologize if this topic violates any rules...I don't think it does though? Also feel free to discuss about this stage here. |

Heh, well I hope this reply is still helpful ... To clear this stage, you have to get Kanetsugu to meet up with his allies (specifically Yukimura, IIRC). Just clear the path for him back to where Yukimura is, or just have Yukimura on your team, and let them meet. Then, at some point after meeting up, the Sorcerer appears once Fu Xi arrives and then the gate will open to Sun Wukong once the Sorcerer is defeated. |

Even so, after we defeat all surrounding enemies (playing as Yukimura), he continues to stand immobile until more soldiers confront him, to which he will respond by fighting them until his life bar is eaten entirely by the flames we just cannot get him to leave. We cannot get him to follow us essentially, and no matter how many officers/base captains we kill they continue to come and he continues to fight.....additionally Fu Xi refuses to appear.  Thanks though...but is there any other advice you might give? |

I thought that you had to wait for Sakon to reach Kanetsugu? Perhaps try with Sakon on your team?

I'm just gonna go through everything ok? Tip: A horse will help in this mission and Sakon is just great on one. Cut through to the first gate and slay Urutu. Ignore the enemy soldiers and get to the sorcerer. Make your way to the second gate (and wath Orochi's army be flattened by their own boulders :P) and get that sorcerer!!! Go around to the side gate and slay the guards there (be sure to take any bases on your way too) When in the central area slay Kotaro and take the bases and ensure their safety (your allies are probably still at the beginning but that doesn't matter) Once you get past the guards in the side gate after Kotaro head STRAIGHT for Kanetsugu and raise his army's morale. Kill all soldiers in your way and Fu Xi will appear at some point (you should also reach 1000 kills by now if you just rode past all enemies while attacking) The sorcerer will appear and the fire goes out. Once the gate opens ride for Wukong and slay him! |
