This stage from SW1 is the one where Ieyasu is using Hanzo as his scout to traverse this unfamiliar land. It uses the Ise-Nagashima map. Many ambushes occur and you get interrupted by Mitsuhide Akechi at the very end.

So from what I've said, hopefully have given your memory back, what do you think of this level?

This is a surprisingly fun stage in spite of all the back-tracking you have to do if you get too far ahead. I've actually somehow kicked inordinate amounts off ass in this stage as Hanzo(despite the fact that it's easy to kick inordinate amounts of ass with Hanzo), especially if I have his 3rd level weapon, but with a "Fire Element".

SWXL gives this stage to Tadakatsu and Ina as well, which is awesome.

I like the stage it's fun to play. Kinda wished it stayed for SW2 but maybe it be in SW3.

If I remember right I had slight frustration on this stage cause I wasn't very familiar with SW-series back when I played it and this was one of the first "more difficult" stages I faced mainly due to the running here and there and everywhere and keeping Iyeasu's hide alive and checking his location constantly on map. Other than that, can't sadly remember too much..

The first time I played it I couldn't stand it. Then I played it a few more times and began to love it. I like the desperate peril Ieyasu finds himself in, and the resolve of the Tokugawa officers. There's something about a "run for your life" scenario I like. It's probably because true victory in this case is dashing back home, and not clobbering the enemy. I wish Mitsuhide had a bit more liveliness in this stage. He's my favorite character, but he seemed pretty dull in this battle. I wouldn't mind seeing this make a return in SW3.
