There are 3 things that you can do here. Attachment Add a skill to a part. Note that you can even place a new skill on a part that already has a skill. And here is the list of skills available. Iフィールド機能 I-Field Function (Lv1) Decreases damage from projectiles ブーストドライブ Boost Drive (Lv1) Increases damage of boost dash ショックアブソーバー Shock Absorber (Lv1) Increases rate of SP gauge rise when hit by enemy パワーラジエーター Power Radiator (Lv1) Thruster gauge replenishes quicker スピードスター Speedster (Lv1) Increases moving speed クロスドライブ Cross Drive (Lv3) Increases damage of Charge 2 (ST) デルタドライブ Delta Drive (Lv3) Increases damage of Charge 3 (SST) スクエアドライブ Square Drive (Lv3) Increases damage of Charge 4 (SSST) 零距離射撃 Zero Range Shot (Lv3) Increases shot damage the closer the enemy is アドバンスガード Advance Guard (Lv3) Decreases guard stiffness time バイオコンピューター Bio Computer (Lv4) Increases rate of SP gauge rise when hitting enemy カウンター Counter (Lv4) Able to reflect attack if guarding at the right time スマッシュヒット Smash Hit (Lv4) Chances of any charge attacks breaking guard オーラバースト Aura Burst (Lv4) Normal dash can damage enemies ペンタドライブ Penta Drive (Lv5) Increases damage of Charge 5 (SSSST) ヘキサドライブ Hexa Drive (Lv5) Increases damage of Charge 6 (SSSSST) チェイスドライブ Chase Drive (Lv5) Increases damage of Dash Charge スナイプ Snipe (Lv6) Chance of bonus damage when doing some projectile attacks エアマスター Airmaster (Lv6) Increases damage to enemy on mid-air ハードストライク Hard Strike (Lv7) Chance of bonus damage when doing some melee attacks アーマーゲイン Armor Gain (Lv7) Chance of absorbing HP from enemy when hitting them プレッシャー Pressure (Lv8) Deals damage to enemy even when guarding ミノフスキードライブ Minovsky Drive (Lv10) Thruster consumption rate is decreased Tidbit: Some skills are unavailable to add if the MS doesn't have the capabilities to. For example, Gundam Epyon, which doesn't have shot attacks, will be unable to be attached skills that improve shot attacks. Grunt units that don't have charge attacks will be unable to be attached skills that improve charge attacks. Upgrade Increase the stats of the part. There are stat caps. Armor: 400 Mobility: 200 Fight, Shot, Defense, Thruster: 100* *exceptions are for MS who don't have legs, the caps for these stats will be 200. The caps are the same for all part ranks. The difference between ranks is that the effect of attachment skills is better if you have a higher rank part. For unlocking the Rank 4 parts they will be available at the MS Analysis section, but if you want to be quick.... Spoiler: click to toggle Clearing mission 絆を力に (Bond as Power) will unlock R4 parts for all non class 1 MS Clearing mission 真のガンダム無双 (True Gundam Warrior) will unlock R4 parts for all class 1 MS Development Switch the sent part with another random MS part. At the start, you will be given a list of parts that are available for the improvements. If you don't want to improve that part or if the part is not available, you can press Square (PS) to request another part to be listed. At first there is only one part that can be offered. But you can increase the number by raising the Tech level. To increase it, you just need to keep sending parts to the lab for improvement. The better the part stats are, the more exp the tech level will get. In the end you'll have up to 6 parts offerable for both attachment and upgrade. (But development will always have only 1 part. Then again, it'll become useless once you've finished assembling all MS...) Once you have sent the parts to the lab, do a mission. Once the mission is finished, go back to the lab to retrieve your upgraded parts. Tidbits: - It seems that about 2 missions after you use a MS, that MS parts will be listed in the offer list, perhaps to encourage MS switching. - This one is spoilerish Spoiler: click to toggle Once you've reached the max tech level, all pilots' terminal will be sent a mail by Astonage, and his relationship level will become Intimate (highest).

God of Death in Gundam Wing Posts: 3,836 Group: Members Member #1,970 Joined: May 16, 2006	I dont know how to use the lab though, also do you know why my ms keeps going down in musou bar everytime my pilot levels up?

Posts: 4,023 Group: Admins Member #38 Joined: August 26, 2005 Gender Male	Oh, your SP/Musou gauge is not related to the pilot's level, but to the rank of the MS' body part. (体) The higher the rank of your body part is, you'll have more SP level, which equates longer SP gauge.

undefeated in all directions Posts: 1,022 Group: Members Member #12,767 Joined: January 20, 2008 Gender Male	@BK:do add that rank 4 parts usually come attached with something... and a question concerning that^ even though our tech lv is still low,is there any chance to get a rank4 parts with high lv attachment like hard strike or minovsky drive? *oh and i got some infos on the MA guide section go check my edited post>.<

Posts: 4,023 Group: Admins Member #38 Joined: August 26, 2005 Gender Male	While you're giving the parts to the lab for upgrade, you'll be 'given a spare part' which will have no additional stats including SP level. Guess it's for encouraging MS switching after all. Anyway, just finish a mission in the mode and when you come back to the lab you can get it back upgraded. ...unless you accidentally discarded the upgraded part when you receive them.

Soldier Posts: 3 Group: Members Member #20,565 Joined: January 27, 2009	Does multiple instances of the same part for attachment stack? ie If I put armor gain 5 times, would I gain 5x the amount of armor with each strike? Also, sometimes, a part appears in the lab for upgrades, but for some reason you are not allow to upgrade it (pressing "O" does nothing) and you can only press square to ask for the part to be rerolled. So in order to emphasize an attack more you should attach different skills. (For example God Gundam's C4 God Slash Typhoon, you can attach Hard Strike and Square Drive to make it more deadly) As for not being able to upgrade a part, usually it's because you haven't actually got the specified part yet.

OR,you have attached something to it at the same time(one part can show up in both menus but once you attach,you can't upgrade,vice versa) @BK: i don't think an unfinished MS would show up in the MS lab(aside from development?) so your opinion of "you haven't actually got the specified part yet" is kinda strange IMO.......

Posts: 4,023 Group: Admins Member #38 Joined: August 26, 2005 Gender Male	As long as you have at least collected a part of a MS, it should appear in the Mobile Suit Info list, but there will be "Parts Incomplete" mark on it (don't remember the exact kanji) ...or maybe thing like this isn't in the PS2 version?
