i did it a couple of times actually,to see which strategy is better, today i tested the ground "heat up" strategy and i'm glad to say it works VERY well,MS like musha MKII and epyon has this ground SP that is nearly impossible to flip out off and deal around 100++hits on lv3,more with high tension. using heat up,DG cells, and high tension i managed to rush towards musha's field(thus making the other aces crowd towards me),and just fill SP and use ground SP,its surprisingly fast,i managed to kill all of them(unintentionally, since i always am for the mushas) with 78 minutes left out of 99 minutes,my k.o count was less than 200 at that time>.< oh and BTW richie you shouldn't use zeong for an example,PS2 and the non JP PSN dudes can't get the TGW space version!>.< |

Oh yeah good point there about not able to obtain the space True Gundam Warrior misson. I guess I would state because I used Zeong in the True Gundam Warrior Space version. But pretty much you could use any suit which uses spread attack sp works wonders.... that way you could take care of them pesky ace's that gang up on ya.

Sounds like you're having too much fun Saito. Extra missions are the hardest thing about this game.....by far.... forcing a grunt unit on top of it is some what overkill at times....only reason i don't like grunt units is their limited fighting abilities.....and some move pretty slow in comparison to others....although i seem to enjoy the Class 2 grunts more over the class 3. it just feels that playing the class 3 grunt units just takes a bit longer to kill things....you really got to work for your kills it feels like that. |

class 3 are actually better than class 2 in several aspects with some notes 1.you must use instant hero, and 2 skill of your choice 2.maxed stats for the MS 3.maxed pilot stats S8 is way better on duels compared to S4C4,because they won't knock back the enemy until the attack is finished, moreso,S strings doesn't have much delay, plus you can fire up an SP attack at the end to spice things up examples gouf, the head honcho of class3 can do everything that a class2 can(instant kill with hard strike, dash cancels, smash hit effects)and still retain the powerful S8 string, compared to char's Zgok,i'll pick gouf for a battle any day ball is no pushover either, using heat up and/or high tension its SP can do serious damage to anything, especially MA's of course the main weakness of class3 is the exact opposite of duelling, which is crowd clearing, that where 1 machine matches 1000 skill comes in,just spam dash attacks with aura burst attached and crowd clearing will be less stressful |

Glad you addressed my point of the weakness of the Class 3.....Crowd Clearing....which is why i felt it was very time consuming for the most part... even with the skills it felt like geesh....this guy just doesn't kill lots of things at once.....unless i finally get a power down and start aura bursting into everything.... |

Do any of the Class 3 suits have relatively solid, sweeping square strings at least? |

mmm Shokatshin if you mean by like they can swing squares up to 8 times and such like the Don yeah.... but they don't got any C1's or any of that sort. I should add that most of the charge attacks aren't as good often just one giant swing of a sword or just one big kick.... no combinations in their charge attacks heh.... some work quite well while others kind of lag after you make such a big swing allowing others to peg attacks on you... Yeah, I understood that much. What I mean to say is, do any of these Class 3 Mobile Suits have square attacks that hit in wide enough arcs that it can hit a lot of enemies? Or are all of them just plain terrible/tedious against crowds? |

sad to say mostly option 2 for the Class 3 i don't really see them great at mob swarming wide swing kills as much......which was my dissappointment....getting shot counts high without aura burst attachment is quite tough........

I forgot to mention when you pilot some tiny class 3's like zaku tank pilots actually make fun of you.... I recall Yazan, Gym , Cecily, Quess, lunamaria and some others stating some comments like what kind of junk are you flying....it is like worthless in some sense. or they would just laugh at you..... but then its fun to pwn them with that unit then and they are like MY GOD... I was owned by....a Grunt Unit!!

go and try hitting something smaller than an MA with zaku tank's SP,its fun to try! oh and don't forget, the crowd clearing attacks for class 3 is their dash attacks, some are more potent than others(BALL),of course you need to have the MUST HAVE points that i mentioned before to make it actually clears crowd some others have good SP for crowd clearing(gyan?) and lets be frank, you WILL need biocomputer for class3,its their only means to down an MA.....,so SP gaining shouldn't be a problem |

Gyan now i know what you guys talking about i saw a picture of it.... generally i forget most of the suits names outside of the main ones.... or the ones that seem very interesting..... this is the suit that always makes me think of a chess piece.... by the design...... it was a bit of a struggle for me to use....noteably one of the extra missions requires i think to killl 3000 or 4000 shot downs with the gyan.... it sorta hacks and slashes a lot....... it's pretty good with sp but i didn't really like it as much..... usually i don't like the grunts because of their charge move....they just do like a foward one slash and then it sorta hangs there so you get openly attacked..... oh yeah on top of this all those missions making you use the grunts for an extra mission you'll be forced to use that unit in those extra missions..... so yeah have fun.

sorry again for the double post... could you describe for me what constitues a MS fitting into a class? what's the breakdown? it's not like the game out-right describes them to you in terms of class. or maybe it does and i'm just a little slow... thanks. the classes are just move sets Class 1 suits are the main 1s like the Strike Freedom they have full move sets and three SPs Class 2 are the in the middle like Zeong, Guncannon, they have 4 attacks Class 3 are grunts anything that comes in mass in a mission is a class 3 like GM Zaku 2 and so on |
