I heard that the ps3 graphics is better. But does that really matter for a 20-30$ difference? why is the ps3 better? just because there are a lot of enemies on the field? or is it because the ps3 is harder and the mobile armors are harder? what are the difference? |

Well I dont have the game, so I dont know if there are any differences or not, or whether it would have to do with game content per say. But PS2 is no longer current gen, so usually new games are only going to go for usually $30 US, sometimes $40 if its a popular title like COD5. And all new PS3 or 360 games are going to run you usually $60, sometimes $50 for some games. PS2 is just past its time ( i know, it still sells well) so obviously they are not going to keep selling games for $50 like they used to or current users would have moved on long ago. So I dont think it has anything to do with content, cause even though it might be a half price difference, I dont think any PS3 user is going to buy the PS2 version just because its half the price. |

The differences from just the game is merely the Graphics which are much better on PS3 by far, there is Downloadable Content although its only announced for the JP Copy and Online Vs Mode... for me the Graphics alone warrant a reason to buy the PS3 Version |

i've play both version and i find that the ps3 version is more responsive. the ps2 version seems to have a lag in command. |

I heard there are also problems with the ally AI, as mentioned here http://s13.zetaboards.com/koeiwarriors/topic/6539741/ But I haven't encountered something like that in the PS3 version. At least until now. |

PS2 has some graphical bugs if you spam some attacks a lot,,as an example if you spam nu gundam's fin funnel barrier sometimes it won't be visible,but the enemy will still be affected by it so not big deal IMO |

I read here that there are no special Combination SP quotes here (like Shinn x Lunamaria or Seabook x Cecily), meaning the CSP quotes are always generic. And also you can't change costumes for Amuro, Char, & Haman? Can someone confirm this?

Looks like ps2 version lacks costume changing for those characters. You first have to go to the mission mode character select screen select Amuro but don't click him yet click the triangle button if he changes or not then it should work..but I forgot if you have to check your terminal first or not for a message after completeting of course his 5 story levels in his story mode. Any ways just click triangle before entering the actual pilot if nothing happens I guess it is confirmed no costume changes. |

yes,they didn't even brought domon and puru's GM1 CSP quote,that really pissed me off ore no kono te ga makkani moeru!!!  oh and BK,domon is really being toned down quotes wise,he is now,a living "gundam fight" rules textbook?that's boring IMO........... they do however,have special rollout/launch quotes now unlike GM1S,which doesn't have the PS3 launch quotes btw does the PS3 version of GM2 still have those special CSP quotes? as for costumes,i haven't cleared ANY story mission characters that have an alternate costume,but i'll be damned if i can't play as laura! |

Yeah, apparently there are still unique sortie quotes of some sort. I might make a tidbit topic about it sometime. Anyway, from what I've heard, Milliardo & Loran still can change into Zechs & Laura.

okay ps3 is 9/10. ps2 = 5/10. ps2 = harder to get 1000 kills. 20 mins = 1000 kills for ps2. 4 mins for 1000 kills in ps3. Ps3 has much much better graphics; I forgot what esle I was going to say. |

well,the lag is nonexistent in the PS2 version,and that's with normal setup not the "install" setup,i wonder where did you get this lag idea from...PS2 DW6? it a different game......

I can confirm that this is not possible, I have tried looking around and I can't find a way to change their costumes. Loran and Milliardo can change costumes though. Another thing that's already been stated is that there is a lot fewer enemies on screen on the PS2, meaning you get less kills and whatnot. Honestly, if you have a PS3 I see no reason to get the PS2 version instead. If you like this kind of game I'd say it's definitely worth the extra money for the PS3 version. |

You won't be able to use CodeBreaker and other such devices with the PS3 version. :p I'm still getting it though. I don't care about the graphics. Hell, don't even have an HD or widescreen TV. :p |

just out of curiousity, can anybody who owns gundam musou special (the japan only ps2 port of dynasty warriors gundam 1) as well as dynasty warriors gundam 2 ps2 version compare the two? I'm interested to know how things such as frame rate, draw distance, amount of peons generated on screen at once, texture quality, and etc compare. thank you, warriors! |

I own the PS2 and XBOX 360.And in my opinion there both awsome. I guess some of might wonder why have both My freind Bought the ps2 one and Did'nt Know had it for my Xbox 360.So I decided to keep it and it was the right Choice.IMO |

as most people have stated already better Graphics.... DLC missions.... online vs mode.... achievement points...or trophies....extra costumes.... More suits to be able to shot down.... in missions possible less lag... as some say the ps2 does lag at times... also some menus look a bit different....than how they do on the ps3 and xbox360.... these are pretty much the only driving points of why you would want the ps3 or xbox360 version over the ps2.... besides that its the same exact game...... i do,its almost the same,although the graphics are slightly more refined in GM2.the others are not much different from gundam musou special |
