ah...thanks for the info wodash! a very sick part of me wants to import gm2 for ps2 just so i can 1. enjoy the game (which i already own on xbox360) in japanese, and 2. see the differences in graphics and performance on my own. hahah i should probably hold on that though. although now i think i know what to get someone else next time they have a birthday!

When u play coop in this DW:G 2 in ps2, is a lot better framerate and "lag times" than in "special". Oh, i was playing the jp version for ps2 and i found some things than are different in the us, apart from music and voices and all that. - It seems that appears more "low units" on screen in the same time than the jp version. - I always play on hard, and in the JP playing the Amuro story, char never "dash" or "side step", here in the american he does that a lot! - Maybe is just me, but i feel that i can level up a little faster too. PD: sorry mi english |

-more enemy onscreen?any other players of the JP+US PS2 version can confirm this?(of course not, they are so rare here>.<) -i don't think the CPU can use thrusters but they do sidestep a lot, even the grunts often do that(in the JP version) -i dunno about leveling up faster, since i don't have qualms about the leveling up speed in the JP version either, the gundam fight missions really speed things up compared to leveling in any other musou games.... |

- is just IMO, but even on jaburo i was a little bit laggy sometimes when i see more enemies on screen. - i mean no "thuster", but a "dash" for be closer. And i never saw one on the JP version on the amuro route (official) - That is IMO too, but i was just playing the Amuro Official yesterday. No Gundam fight or any other mission. |

that might be the lag issue, not the number of the enemies......the JP version doesnt lag, maybe that's why you assume the numbers increase you mean dash attacks?they do that a lot in my game...... |

No, i mean a "dash" with "wind effect" for be closer, and when he "dash" is invulnerable. |

i would like to see DWG 2 PS 2 topic and i think it's pointless having conversation about which version is better. i just played PS 2 version a little (first mission with Amuro and Char because i'm on episode 18 currently and i don't want to spoil) and i think that some features are removed (i don't mean online support). i think that wodash can help me on that which contents are removed except online support. |

removed content? - several quotes, namely the special double team SP attack quotes, the PS3 have special quotes depending on who you do your SP with,in PS2 its all the same - several costumes,in the PS3 version you can unlock costumes in mission mode for amuro, char.and haman, these costumes comes with different quote list and there are more than one costume for amuro and char, these are "locked" in PS2 why do i say "locked" instead of removed?the enemy version of those 3 can still change costumes randomly, and you can select it yourself you use cheat stuffs like codebraker or ARMAX note that millard and loran still have their alt costumes in the PS2 version that is all actually, apparently the voices takes some huge space on the disk or something so they take them out, aside from that?its all the same, the AI is still hard and you don't have any rant about the number of grunts, right? |

voices, animations etc. certainly takes huge space but i think that some kind of compression is done due to stick all that in one DVD. but i don't understand why DWG 2 not use dual layer DVD or 2 DVD's? i don't have any rant about grunts because i think that for PS 2 version is great that i see so many of them on battlefield so relationship is in PS 2 version? |

of course, when i said everything else is in the game, then its in the game, missions, gameplay, and even that relationship thing is in PS2 version too note that the skill column for PS2 is arranged differently, this might cause problem for the JP version(since you can't use the translated PS3 list from the wikis),but for the US version this is not a problem at all since its only a change in position, the actual skill themselves are the same and none had been cut/replaced(unlike the PS2 DW6 where the swimming skill is replaced by other stuff) as for 2 DVD's god please don't,this game works wonders with one,i don't think 2 DVD's is a good idea, not to mention DVD9,look what happened to the US&JP version of PS2 DW6....... |

because the PS2 games never support those kinds of things anyways, everyone understands that, and its quite useless compared to in game trophies (which in this game is the congrats mails that will usually give you relationship bonus or rank 4 parts plus the JP version does not support trophies so saying "PS3 version supports trophies" is quite incorrect |

i got it (ps2/u.s. version) for 27$ american dollars on amazon and i'm perfectly happy with it. are the graphics better on next gen system? probably. 40$ better? i doubt it. (although DLC is a nice perk) more importantly though, since my xbox 360 is a f.p.o.s. that i had to return for repairs twice now, i'll take my chances with this thank you.

for me ps3 is better, becasue u can get strikefreedom, infinite justice and the 2 musha lisence very easy with downloaded missions, for musha ones u need realy good crowd clearing skills and MS and of coz easy unlocking for sarah |
