if you played old dynasty warriors series like DW3 you should know what lock on is, it's possible to do it on DWG2 too, it's useful if you're attacking enemies from high position, to perform it press attack button WITHOUT moving the left analog stick, if the first attack hit, your MS will keep lock on to the enemy you hit earlier, unless you move the left analog stick. sorry for bad english

i was beginning to think this was a gundam oo topic like, "lock on"<--topic title is lock on stratos available as a character in this game?<-- topic content LOL but seriously, yeah, the lockon system was very useful in GM,especially during the SP attack,i.e god gundam, there's no way you can fire a sekiha tenkyoken(LV3) correctly if you mess with the controls during the choukyuu haoh denei dan(LV2) in GM1....... i wish DW5 gan ning could do that too,he would be godly>.< |

Hey The Flash I remember that you could press R3 to get out of these kind of locks BlackKite mentioned about it.... since sometimes it gets annoying when you're affixated to an MA and there is also an ace pilot trying to attack you at the same time... |

umm, richie? i think you got it all wrong, the game will let you automaticly attack TOWARDS enemy ace whenever they are around, this is what the TC,and everybody else is talking about, not the green MA lock on camera(R3)..... for example,if you use your S string without pressing the analogue stick to move and there's an enemy ace around, more often than not it will home towards them moreover,if you are facing the enemy ace(say, you air combo them)and do a mobile SP attack(char kick, zeta's waverider, moolight butterfly.etc),it will home towards them no matter what,as long as there's not much ace around and you don't mess with the analog stick. |

If you don't move the stick, and just attack, you will automatically turn to focus the entire combo on your target. So if the first hit connects with an ace, the rest of the combo will keep hitting them. The other "lock on" is when you're fighting the giant MS. When one appears, the camera will lock on to them. And so they'll always be the focus, and you can move around with them. You can press R3 to "unlock" the camera, and return to normal. |

i find also if you hit the "guard/strafe button",especially with SP attacks, the camera will at least follow what you're "aiming" at.
