Unlocking Dozle Zabi as playable character....after you finish the friendship missions of the Zeon faction you will receive a Thank You letter....upon reading this message you'll have to make a choice.....if you make the wrong choice you can't unlock Dozle Zabi as a playable character with this particular character....so remember to save properly if you make a mistake......otherwise you have to do this again with another character...messing this up consistently will lead to never unlocking Dozle Zabi..... ( as many have stated should be the first choice just save before it in case though can't be too safe on these things. ) 2.) Unlocking Quess as a playable character.....if you convert a non-new type too soon into becoming a new type you will miss out on Quess becoming a playable character....because her terminal message won't trigger....thus you will have to do this again with another character which is an old type as well.... so the warning is don't run out of non-new types......before getting the terminal message from Quess....meaning you must get her on your good side in the relationships....then convert to new type all you want.....and of course constantly converting to newtype too soon will eventually lead to never unlocking Quess as a playable character or Gyunei....for I think you need Quess first to get Gyunei..... Another note on the Quess situation is that you get a friendship mission for doing this.....and same goes for trying to get Gyunei through Quess.... if achievements are going to be affected for this particular pilot if you end up messing up here.....since there is an achievement stating must clear all missions for an individual pilot in mission mode.....I can't be for certain of this since i don't own the xbox360 version but if someone is trying to shoot for this achievement on a particular pilot and made the fatal mistake then of course they'll never have all the missions completed for they are missing quess's friendship mission........ and of course not unlocking all characters....is another achievement that could be missed...... 3.) Unlocking Sarah as a playable character.....ok this is the issue for this one if you raise your relationship too high with Reccoa it is often very difficult to lower your relationship with her......so please try to get Sarah as soon as possible.....by raising your relationship higher with Sarah and Scirroco and of course keeping Reccoa on lower relationship standings with you. 4.) Raising relationships too high and too early will not allow you to play some of the friendship missions.... mainly the top tier of friendship missions generally used to help with your worst relationships.... 5.) Unlocking Rain Gundam Fight Mission.... supposively get 8 people to have bad relationship with you meaning relationships under the neutral lvl.... complete minimum of 15 missions cumulatively with a particular pilot.... and then also be in relationships with Domon and Master Asia...i think it really doesn't matter what kind of relationship lvl with these 2 but may be you need to be neutral or as long as you met them its fine...... if you are in good relationships too fast you'll miss this friendship mission. Exception is Domon and Master Asia just finish their story missions and it will unlock..take note after accepting this mission sometimes it also worsens a bit of relationships for the guys you got on the bottom by at least one bar..... but trust me it is worth it to get these friendship missions I consider them the best farming stages for lvling, skill learning, attachment upgrading, parts upgrading and finding specific parts for any suits that you can pilot.... so hence i heed warning. Keep in mind though you got many chances of correcting yourself with other pilots.....if you already messed up once twice or even 5 times.... Unlocking the Quizzes.... pretty much complete a variety of free missions but in order to play them all requires a lot of things to happen.... lots of shot downs and what nots.... and a cumulative of 100 missions completed... below are links to the answers... Also, turning every single playable character to Newtype will apparently trigger a new terminal mail... [rant] But to be honest, I don't like the fact that turning Newtype is becoming a necessity in this game. I wish they still kept the non-Newtype movesets (though it's kinda unlikely at this point), or like the G Gen games, have an item that enables non-Newtypes to use those funnels. When GM3 is released with all animated series featured, I'd like to see Shiro, Kou, Gato and Garrod still kicking asses without having to turn Newtype.... [/rant]

I assume at the end of the day it just allows them to pilot more MS, but the whole premise doesn't feel right.

I whole heartedly agree.... but the other known benefit is getting Quess and Gyunei....it requires at least someone that is non-newtype to turn into a New Type in the end.... otherwise its not possible to get these 2 characters..... Thus one of the reasons I created this topic for the matters if you miss out on it.....:D As Blackkite stated you get a new terminal message from turning everyone into newtype so i'm curious what happens..... technically i could do it right now but i'd like to have everyone able to have all friendship missions..... so must do the quess terminal message show up first...... [/rant] ahh.....the "5 bad" topic>.<,it seems that many people are very satisfied with this game,seeing that topic is empty and all but,my rant is aimed more towards cyber newtype,its the same,but cannot unlock quess?that's it?major bummer,at least it has some kind of bonus having cyber newtype as a skill in GM1....(although IIRC its the same as the newtype skill?>.<) as for the turn everyone into newtypes? i have some guesses 1.unlocks rank 4 part for an MS/every newtype MS? 2.an all newtype free/friendship/collection/extra mission? 3.friendship level rises with everyone 4.just a congratulations mail................

It says something like relationship improved or something like that but when I checked the relationship lvl, nothing went up?
