Obviously worse than the JP version, its a just cropped version of the original cover lacking Strike Freedom slicing down a bunch of Zaku II... I guess it was done this way as to fit the title of the game at the top of the cover, use the original JP version will have Nu Gundam and Psycho Gundam covered by the title... |

It looks exactly the same as the North American cover, as well. http://www.ebgames.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=73474 It's.....okay. There's some action in the background, but the foreground doesn't look so gripping. Oh well. The game will kick butt, that's for sure. |

I agree with the fact that this art wasn't as exciting as the japanese version....but the game still stands as one of the best gundam piolation of games I ever played plus it definately has tons of replay value.  Also to take note MegaXtreme you and I seem to have lots of same common interest in games and movies and what not. I've noticed the trend because you liked Dragon Dynasty titles and I find that company really cool as well and a lot of the games you mention or speak about are things I play as well so it's cool man.

Looks pretty nice to me, in that its not very different from the JPN one. Could be worse, and just be random characters/robots/whatever plastered over the cover like others. |

i actually prefer the english Boxart over the japanese one. But then again i hate the strike freedom and its pilot....a lot. Although i think the english Boxart could have been better if the Sazabi or Alpha Azieru |

No, it's Just. That stupid little child has the pansiest outlook on life and gets killed off only to be brought back multiple times because the fanboys cried too much. That's what makes people like Lockon and Kamille so much better as characters, they stayed out of the picture.

Yeah, I've realized that, as well. Good stuff. This game should be excellent, though. I never really got into Gundam until I picked up the first one, and I loved it. It pulled me in, so I've been pondering buying other Gundam games and all and even the animes. You're right, though. The cover art isn't going to be fully representative of how great this game will be. I plan on pre-ordering soon so I'm guaranteed a copy. |

Do you even watch the shows? Kamille was shown a good few times in ZZ Gundam, and Lockon even had a clone of his character come up in the 2nd series and it seems every time a member of Celestial being has a flashback, it's Lockon 1 who comes along to tell them how they can change their life. I can see what you mean with Camille to a certain extent, but Lockon is an even worse example than Kira. And if you're talking about when Shinn 'defeated' him, it's clear he wasn't brought back into the story. It was just before that fight occured that leaked designs of said 'Strike Freedom Gundam' appeared on the internet, so they never had any intention of killing him off in the first place. He also appeared in Destiny in the first place because, as I discussed in another thread, Shinn Asuka bombed as a character, and he had an even pansier outlook on life than Kira. Also, it's probably thanks to Seed and Destiny rejuvenating modern-day popularity back into the Gundam franchise that these two games have even been developed/released in the first place. |

Wow, that went a wee bit off-topic  I prefer the old Box Art, this one is still O.K, it's just I can't help looking at the Psycho Gundam and wondering what it would look like with the Turn-A's moustache... |

I could argue about many of the things that jarred me about SEED Destiny, but I won't. Instead, I will say that Shinn Asuka was an incredibly unsympathetic character, which I feel was mostly due to bad writing than the character "not clicking" with people. Alright, moving away from that subject, anyone wanna take bets on whether the Strike Freedom will get replaced by the Wing Zero in the US boxart? Edited by Shokatshin, Feb 16 2009, 02:02 PM.

It looks well, though I still do prefer the first GM boxart, it had more action and characters in, but the fighting poses are good for this one...just no Zaku bashing like the first one.
