So, I haven't been playing this for very long, but I've got some questions that I want to answer before I have to return it to it's rightful owner. Normally, I would just read the game manual before playing, but there wasn't one with this copy of the game, so I'm kind of at a loss. So, if anybody can help, it will be greatly appreciated. 1) A while back, I was fighting some guy (I think it was Amuro or Milliardo, but I don't quite recall), and at one point in the battle, he just jumped up, transformed, and started flying in circles around me doing nothing for some time. Is there a way for me to do that? I'm sure it's only certain MS's that have that ability, but (long story short) I don't really know Gundam that well, so I have no idea who to use when flailing and hoping the function activates itself. 2) When I equip certain combinations of parts (ile. multiple of the same type of part, or multiple parts under the same drop-down menu), it says something hard to read, but it looks like Special Combination or something, and it displays the part or the mechanic with a multiplier next to them. What does that mean? Is it important to do it? It seems like this combo gave me some auto-abilities before, but I don't know how that triggers, or if that's why the abilities appeared at all. 3) What exactly does "Shot" refer to? I'm guessing it's not charge attacks, as they are refered to seperately in certain ability descriptions, but it would be pathetic if it was only the press-triangle single shot. 4) Speaking of abilities, is there a way to fill up that second Unique ability slot? That cursed empty ????? box is starting to bug me. Like I said, I would really appreciate some help here. Normally, I'd just sweat it out and figure out what's going on gradually, but I've only got the game for a few days before I have to give it up again. T-T |

It's a special trick for the transformable MS where it can transform for a quick traverse. It is done by holding the dash (X in PS3) button while mid-air (You may want to jump (R1 in PS3) first). This trick is exclusive to the Z Gundam (Kamille/Roux), ZZ Gundam (Judau), Wing Zero (Heero) and Epyon (Milliardo).
It is encouraged to equip the same items and/or from the same mechanic, as you will get a bonus stat. Some combinations will give more than just stat boosts, such as increased dash power.
Fight refers to any melee attacks. Shot refers to any projectile attacks, and they are not limited to just the C1 rifle/vulcan attacks. For example, Wing Zero's SP power is also determined by Shot stat.
The second unique ability is acquired after pilot level reaches 25, and it is preset. Hope that helps.

Thanks much. I had a feeling you'd be the person to know...everything.
I was playing as Domon and Master Asia, and pretty much ignoring Shot, but I was worried that maybe I was screwing them over for charges and such. omg, flying in a Musou game...I so need to buy this for myself... |

A quick question for me - ive done 6 official character storylines and got the achievement. Ive already got 12 characters at my disposal so does that mean less than half will get a story on the official mode? Sorry, thing is im not clued up in the Gundam side of it and chances are characters like Heero could be made up as i didnt encounter them in the official modes i compled. Be a shame if theres only 6 official storylines as the original mode seems to rotate the same 5-6 maps and of the official mode the likes of Judau only had 2 levels on it  |

Yeah, that's one of the flaw with this game. Only 6 characters have Official stories, and to make it worse, Judau and Scirocco only have 2 stages no matter how long you play. The Original mode is the beef of this game. Even though the storyline is shared per team, at least there are unique cutscenes that are exclusive to a character. |

Yeah, i noticed this - im actually enjoying playing through them all to see there individual game endings. I also like how each character has variations on there storylines ie Jerid is always an enemy but with Heero hes an ally (makes it a lot more interesting given the exact same maps being shared by them all) |

End of story right there. Those 2 are so much fun to use and even more fun to listen to HAHAHAHA! Look! The East......... Is burning red!!!!!!!!!!! In Heero's Original Mode as well as Master Asia's, Master Asia keeps saying "School Of Master Asia Final Technique ---- Sekiha Tenkyoken" Everytime I hear it I just LOL at the cheese factor. :ph43r: |

I'm using a 360 to play this. When I die I keep having to just not save, watch the GAME OVER screen, and go to options menu to load my resume saved game, as opposed to restarting the 360 entirely which takes much longer actually. How do you soft reset? |

I don't know if this would fit the help section so I'll post it here I have no idea what's going on, I beat Judau Ashta's Official mode, and that won me Puru. Now logically thinking I figured beating Puru's Mode would get me Puru Two so I did just that. One problem, no Puru Two... I was starting to get annoyed so I looked online, it said what I thought it would. Every guide told me to beat Puru's mode to get Puru Two. I figured maybe everyone had done something I hadn't so then I beat everyone's original and everyone's official so now I have everyone and everything EXCEPT Puru Two... I redid Puru's original, nope, nothing at all. Has anyone else had this issue? If so do you know how to fix it? |

If I stand corrected perhaps you need to also beat Judaus Original mode as well..... can't seem to remember too well....also save data sometimes get corrupted.... so you may have to replay puru's mission or judaus..... sometimes my achievements don't get counted until I redo or something... Not sure if this has any thing to do with any thing but perhaps you may also need to unlock the quebley suit that Puru 2 uses.. Qubeley Mk-II (Red) Complete Elpe Puru's Original Mode and Complete Rolan Cehack's Original Mode Qubeley Mk-II(Black) Complete Judau Ashita's Official Mode and Complete Domon Kasshu's Original Mode .. May be that is hanging with a save somewhere... but thats what you need to do to unlock them..... Edited by Richie408, Feb 15 2009, 07:01 AM.

well glad you solved your issue. look forward to playing DWG2 in my opinion much more gratifying though the game has less humor and such in it's cut scene movies.

Does anyone know if DW: Gundam 2 (jap version) has any online modes? Edit: Whoop! I think I posted in the wrong place! Still hope to get the answer here! Don't want to post the same thing again, that would be spamming!

Well just the online vs. mode is going to be out for the NA release may be same for AU and Eurpoean releases too. I'm thinking the online vs mode is exactly the same kind of vs mode already in the game though just the fact you can play them now online. There is: War Mode different variation of 1 on 4 battle but in the end pretty much who has most score wins.... you pretty much either have to get 1000 points... by following what mission requirement they want you to do or who to kill within a time limit to get points otherwise it changes. Sudden Death 1 on 1 battle.. Hunt Mode: You face up against other 3 aces for a certain amount of time.... killing aces give you points.... also staying alive without being killed gives you points. Who has highest score in the end wins. I'm really thinking all this will just turn online based or they just let you have sudden death online.... In the japanese game though there is no online mode though. Edited by Richie408, Feb 28 2009, 01:57 PM.

as long as the VS mode doesn't let you use skills and attachments the online VS mode should be pretty balanced, enabling god gundam to use overdrive could change an average MS to god tier>.<.......
