First of all, not to be mean, but change the colour of 'Liu Bei', it's a teensy bit difficult to see ^^; I'd choose these: Shu Zhao Yun: He's my favourite character, so ofcourse i'd play as him ^^ Ma Chao: His Transformation is awesome, though i haven't played as him in DW6, i've played as him in DW5.... Wu Zhou Yu: His moveset is good, especially his jumping charge attack, which does a lot of damage, if used at the right time Gan Ning: His Moveset is good, i don't play as him as much, but i've got a good idea that im going to be playing as him too Wei Cao Pi: I always played as him whenever it came to completing Wei's Musou Mode, so i'll be playing as him for sure I haven't decided another character from Wei, but im sure i'll make my mind up. I think there could be a possibility that the old weapons could be downloaded, i think it would be great if they did ^^ |

Well, so far I've used: Wu: Ling Tong - I've been wanting to use him since he rec'd his 3-section staff in DW6:S ... just an awesome moveset Wei: Cao Ren - Come on, this guy's awakening form is enough to want to play as him ... not to mention he's recently become a favorite character of mine I plan on using everyone in the demo (and of course when the full game releases) but I have immediate plans to use: Shu: Liu Bei - Ever since I saw his 2-sword moveset in DW6, I've wanted to play as him Wu: Zhou Yu - Same reason as Liu Bei, though with the staff of course ![]() That's all I can specifically think of right now. Again, I want to use everyone, but these are the ones I will use first

Wu Sun Quan: My obvious choice but after hearing some interesting things about him, I am intrigued to use him much more now. Lu Meng: Flaming hair ftw. I want to see if the did anything special to his moveset. plus Sun Jian, Ce, and Lu Xun as well. Wei Zhang He: He is my only favorite from Wei plus I love his form. Shu Liu Bei: I like his form which is the only reason why I want to play him. Yue Ying: Same reason as Liu Bei plus she was the only female from DW6 that I liked. |

Well, here come my three big DUHS. 1.) Lu Meng: Need I waste time describing how much I enjoy his awakening form (the hair and the toplessness of it all helps). First I'll play him with the halberd moveset, then, for shits and giggles I'll play him in Xiao Qiao's fans. Maybe Zhen Ji's whip. >_< Halberd for the primary and the whip for the secondary. "Call me Old Man one more time, Gan Ning..." 2.) Wei Yan- Godzilla and Tricatops/Stegosaurus mix... weapon wise, I loath that club, so I'd see how well he does with a spear or Halberd. For jokes, no idea. Whip, again, sounds fun and very unfitting for him. Or maybe Sima Yi's weapon. 3.) Sima Yi- Strategist ninja man... with Zhuge Liang's fan. |

The club moveset has received a huge upgrade. It's been almost completely revamped in terms of the move animations themselves, and it's much faster. It still doesn't fit Wei Yan at all, but the club isn't such a bore to use anymore. |

I'm not exactly sure about if there are parameters with main weaponry and sub-weaponry, but whatever. These are all characters I love, anyway. Wu Sun Quan: With Cao Cao moveset as main, Sun Ce moveset as sub. Sun Quan is a non-confrontational person at times; so I say - go and confront, Quan. Confront! Wei Zhen Ji: With Cao Pi moveset as main, and Sun Shang Xiang moveset as sub. Her husband recieved an incredibly elegant moveset, and both of these sets are effecient as well. Shu Yue Ying: With Lu Xun moveset as main, and Huang Zhong/Xiahou Yuan bow as sub. Lu Xun's moveset is beautiful, and very very very close range - so I'm up for a challenge. And I'm curious to see the Huang Zhong bowset. Edited by T.e.n, Feb 18 2009, 07:39 PM.

I plan to use: Wei Yan and Yue Ying: 2 of my most loved Shu characters, pure bias, and giving Yue a club and Yan a couple of claws would be priceless. Cao Pi: Love the jerk, and i want to use his Special moveset so bad, might also give him his wife whip. Tsundere Tong: Again, i want to use his new moveset and watching him using Ning's daggers. |

Hi T.e.n, you can't change the character's main weapon, you can only change their sub-weapon, so their main weapon is always the one they had in DW6/S of course you can upgrade it (the info is stated in JP site character section and EN site - Overview) so you can only change the sub-weapon for your character

Yue Ying suffers from a really slow launcher in the demo, unfortunately. Perhaps there's a weapon enhancement that will increase the attack speed, but I didn't enjoy her too much the way she is now. Perhaps her full moveset will make her better, as well. |

Well, her moveset in Special was pretty odd in and of itself.... I found that (as compared to Cao Pi, who was very much a Square-Square-Square-forever person) in order to play her well, you needed a full moveset - and that she actually needs to prepare beforehand before diving into a crowd, as well as using her Grabs quite a bit. But that's just me (and I suck at playing anyway!). Here's hoping for enhancements, then!

Well, the problem is that the Square string is only six stages long now, at least from what I've seen. I'm not sure how much better she'll become with just two new ground attacks, considering that her air ones are all projectiles. I'll give her another shot later and get back to you. Maybe there's something I'm missing, or she just has a really good hidden move like Ling Tong does. |

Really? Wow, I had no idea. That being said... I had little to no knowledge of how the battle system works, so I suppose that'll be a mystery in and of itself. Oh, that's so nice of you! Thanks alot. You don't have to, but since you are - I really appreciate it. ![]() The way this looks, it almost appears to play like some wierd action platform version of Tatsunoko VS Capcom. |

I can already tell that multiplayer will bog down to who knows the combat system the best, since there's several ways to keep an enemy in the air, as I demonstrate in my videos. There is a combo limiter that prevents attacks from being used more than once in a combo, so there probably won't be any endless combos to worry about. Touching the ground resets the limiter, but the opponent will most likely be able to recover by that time. In terms of just playing the game casually, it'll probably be simple enough to play without getting too in-depth with the combat, which is good for some of the more casual fans of the series. I certainly wouldn't care for the game if the combat had ended up really dumbed down like DW6 was, though. This game has a much larger emphasis on gameplay than any other game in the series, so I'm glad to see that they upgraded the combat as a result. |

*high-fives you* ![]() So how is Super Saiyan Ironknuckle? Inquiring minds want to know. We can all guess who my #1 unlock/pimp out character priority is. I don't understand all the secondary move set possibilities, but I think I've made some sense of the demo manual stats. With that in mind, I'd like to try him with a secondary bow and a club. He has decent aptitude at both - C for bow, B for club - and each suits him. Historically, Cao Ren was a skilled archer, so it would be cool to pay homage to that talent. And bulky armored dude + giant beat stick = smashy smashy, and what's not to like about that? (Especially because I've heard reports that the club moveset is much improved over its DW6 version. I hope that means they got rid of those long strings of vertical swings in the normal attack string.)Lu Meng is still another halberd guy, but he has to get his play time thanks to Other Favorite Character Bias. Other than that, I'd like to try out all the characters who got unique move sets in DW6: Special just because it will be my first chance to experience their new style. And then there are my favorite unique moveset characters from DW6 - Sima Yi, Zhang Liao, Gan Ning. I'm sure I'll try everyone even if the spousal unit and I take turns leveling up characters. (Though I admit that there are some DW6 characters I haven't yet tried - and with unique move sets to boot. I'm slacking.) |

All of the basic Square strings have been shortened drastically, which is a good thing since most of the time, all of the moves past the fourth hit were useless in 6 save for the rare exception like Xiao Qiao's final Square attack. The developers are clearly trying to put an emphasis on aerial combat in this game, since an air musou does much more damage than a ground one, and both double jumps and air dashes reset the limiter that prevents a move from being used more than once per combo. I have not tried out all of the characters yet, but that's mainly because the demo only has one save slot, and I'm currently farming gold for the full game when it's released in a few days. I'll give him a shot at that time, or maybe even before if I decide to start over. |

If Shin Orochi would have been made playable (unlikely though it seems), I would have wanted him to use Xiao Qiao's fans. I think that would be hilarious to see him use the moveset she has. |

This is where I would like to have the DW6 experience to compare some of his S-string to, but I think Tetsuo covered it well enough for a start. I'm not sure if its the demo that shortened the movesets and they'll be longer in the final version or not I can tell you that playing Cao Ren in this game (and other characters) with the aerial attacks is slightly similar to WO SPD type characters. S-string > Jump cancel > Jump attack (but now with mutliple tiers of aerial attacks) In addition, the basic aerial moves seem to be very similar across the board and seem to derive from older C2s like Zhou Tai, Cao Pi, etc. Then there are the unique moves for each which has variety. I'll have to try Cao Ren out again to get a better handle on his unique moves. I still haven't even consistently been able to pull off all of Ling Tong's moves like Tetsuo demonstrated for us. I was recently trying out Liu Bei
