Like the topic states here I will discuss the download missions of Gundam Musou 2... Primarily the ones I will point out are the ones that help unlock the licenses of Infinite Justice, Strike Freedom, Musha and Musha Mark II Gundam. Later I'll probably add in the rest but these particular missions are the more important ones that give you the licenses as stated above. Any ways as of today 2/27/09 there is a total of 15 download missions. If you download all 15 then they are in this order: 1st Mission: MA Ground mission 2nd Mission: MA Space mission 3rd Mission: Red Vs White. ground mission 4th Mission: White Vs. Red. ground mission 5th Mission: True Gundam Warrior Space Mission 6th Mission: License unlock mission for Strike Freedom and Infinite justice. ground mission 7th Mission: Ground mission for hard to get mobile suit parts. 8th Mission: Space Mission for hard to get mobile suit parts. 9th Mission: Spring mission 1. Conquering fields. Ground mission 10th Mission: Spring mission 2. Protecting fields. Ground mission 11th Mission: Valentines day Mission 1. One of these is ground good use for relationships of opposite gender.. Space Mission 12th Mission: License unlock mission for Musha and Musha Mark II Gundam Mission. Ground Mission. 13th Mission: Valentines day Mission 2. Seems that you face female ace pilots here. Ground Mission. 14th Mission: True Gundam Warrior 2 Vs the UC..good guys.. ground mission. 15th Mission: True Gundam Warrior 2 Vs the UC..bad guys...space mission. 1st Mission: MA ( Ground Based Mission) Basically you face these 3 MA's one after another: Psycho Gundam Quinn Mantha Devil Gundam 2nd Mission: MA ( Space Based Mission) Basically you face these 3 MA's one after another: Big Zam Psycho Mark II Gundam Azieru 3rd Mission: Red Vs White ( Ground Based Mission) Pretty much you are clearing fields and facing people who are protagonist characters in the game and in the end you'll always face the ace Amuro. 4th Mission: White Vs Red ( Ground Based Mission) Pretty much you are clearing fields and facing people who are antagonist characters in the game and in the end you'll always face the ace Char. 5th Mission: True Gundam Warrior Space mission basically now you can use all your space mobile suits to face up against the True Gundam Warrior mission... Primarily the goal of the mission is to reach the field in the top right corner.... once clearing that field you'll face both Musha's.... once you beat them you win the mission... hard part is there are other aces that will also head to that field if you went there directly... you may have to avoid them while in combat against the musha's... 6th Mission: ( Ground Based Mission) You basically start off this mission with lots of fields of yellow and red types.... you may choose to then destroy the colored ace of your choosing.... if you kill a red one then the yellow ace will become your ally if you destroy the yellow one the red ace will become your ally... Pretty much all you need to do is kill 4 aces in total to win this mission. Any ways another incentive here is Reccoa and Sarah always appears as rivals of yellow and red on this mission after you kill off your first ace...good use of the relationship building for those 2 on this mission. And of course once finished with this mission you'll automatically have access to the license of Infinite Justice and Strike Freedom Gundam after saving and going back to your mission mode screen. 9th Mission: Pretty much conquer all the fields on the mission aces will appear to try to stop you. 10th Mission: Pretty much protect your fields there will be a time limit of how long you need to protect your fields for. 12th Mission: ( Ground Based Mission ) This mission starts off with a 3 minute timer going down... You must kill a total of 10 aces and at the least 1000 shot downs to win this mission before the timer goes out. A single ace will appear for every 100 shot downs. Take note aces don't appear so instantly takes about 10 seconds and often they appear about 1 to 2 fields away from you. So now you understand why you must kill at the least 1000 shot downs.. Also 100 shot downs each time gives you a raise in time of 30 seconds... And the last two aces in this mission is always Musha and Musha Mark II Gundam the rest are random... Any ways the biggest issue of this mission is the time... some strategies is try to get as many shot downs as you can and not really worry about the aces which are far out of reach.... have the aces try to come after you and use a mobile suit with a good spread sp so you can pretty much kill tons of aces with one stone.... Suggestions: Use a fast suit because you need to roam around a lot of fields to get your shot downs up... two must use a suit that can kill multiple aces pretty fast....remember time is your enemy don't have much luxury to do those nice combos when you need to still kill many aces.... Generally I have to say though if you are just starting off this may prove to be very difficult.....not good enough attachments and skills may make this task very very difficult. Attachments that are literally a must in this mission is speedster, aura burst, bio computer, minovsky drive, and hard strike or any Charge attack attachment which you like to use to kill mobs with.... I prefered to use Zeta Gundam it's fast with it's mobile armor mode and it has a spread sp.... and also it is able to kill multiple aces with it's sp attack since it pierces....even if it misses the ace it clears out other grunts helping with shot downs.......also it's C6 is great for shot downs too.....I didn't even have to use any pilot regular skills to finish this mission with this suit... pretty much did it with just the attachments alone....and a very low lvl pilot....probably lvl 15...tops.... Others which are pretty good are Infinite Justice with it's air sp can clear fields along with taking a few aces on the ride...but it may require some pilot skills to speed up the killing process. V2 Gundam also another good choice can roam fast around the fields with it's air sp attack can also take out multiple aces this way...may also require some pilot skills to speed up the killing process. Good luck with this mission the reward is an instant license for Musha and Musha Mark II Gundam.... also by unlocking the Musha's you automatically unlock one extra mission needed to play for the True Gundam Warrior mission and such.... 14th Mission: Just like the title states it is another True Gundam Warrior mission but this time you don't face the Musha's at the end instead you face 3 UC ace's of the protagonist side.... often could be hard since they block you out from leaving the field.... also in order for the aces to appear I believe you have to finish off the other aces that appear when you start the mission. 15th Mission: Just like the title states it is another True Gundam Warrior mission but this time you don't face the Musha's at the end instead you face 3 UC ace's of the antagonist side.... often could be hard since they block you out from leaving the field.... also in order for the aces to appear I believe you have to finish off the other aces that appear when you start the mission. Here's another tip for saving the time limit. When the message bar has someone saying something, pause the game and let the quote finish before continuing. It might be quite tedious, but you can save your precious time limit this way because the message changes as soon as there is no more voice. This is especially useful if the character you're using has a long quote. *coughjesusyamatocough*Also, I find out using Turn A's CSP nuclear bomb is the most efficient way to clear the grunts. Just make sure there are enough grunts surrounding you, and you'll rack up at least 50 kills for each nuclear thrown. And if your Turn A is strong enough, you just need 1 SP level to rack it up. |

ahh,the pause ttrick,i was wondering how it will play part in GM games>.<,since every musou games seems to be utilizing it to some extent for turn A........overdrive is a pretty rare skill to get,the point of richie's suggestion is so everyone can clear the missions ASAP with any character, especially low leveled ones that you only play for a while, but i think the moonlight butterfly can be a good alternative,as long as the place is crowded another good crowd clearer would be zeong, but i don't know whether the mission is in space or not>.< and an off topic queston regarding the PS3 version of quotes, does every pilot has a retreat/death quote when you defeat their MS?the PS2 version doesn't,but i saw a vid of the PS3 game, and i heard milliad yell "mata o!"(see you later?) after he was defeated(it doesn't appear in the mission log, just when the slow mo death scene is happening) |

Yeah as Wodash pointed out my suggestions are geared towards the low lvl pilots that just want to get things as fast as they could... without as much effort... like I stated earlier I didn't even need pilot skills when I just had the attachments. Also I've edited the 6th and 13th mission stating they are only ground based.... basically meaning you can't use space only ms on it then. That should clear peoples thoughts about using Zeong and such.... As for death quote seems like when your ally lose they say something like sorry guys i'm gone... I know I hear this when I play on hard most of the time my allies die.... Amuro says it and so does others pretty certain... |

The pause trick is pretty poor game design to be honest. They must spend thousands of dollars paying Voice Actors to record multiple takes of each line and then they design levels that you require you to deliberately not listen to them. Who's cheating who there? |

Osiris that is just a means for this mission to conserve time or also conserve time to save for more pilot points at the end of a mission. Since from my understanding you sorta also get more pilot points at the end of the mission based on how fast you completed the mission as well. I've yet to try this tactic ever didn't think you could do that but oh well guess you can. I don't really find it discredits the voice actors or any thing since my point above is ...just a means to conserve time for people. Edited by Richie408, Feb 28 2009, 03:45 AM.

I realise that Richie, but when you consider that it suddenly makes a near impossible level VERY doable, considering that each 100 shot downs give you an extra 10-20 seconds, but simply pressing start a few times can save you that same amount of mission time, you just have to wonder why. |

that's the exact point right there Osiris. How come the ace pilots just won't show up normally you have to wait til the voice actors are done talking which is often pretty unfair in some sense as well. Especially since you just earned those 10-20 extra seconds all wasted on just someones voice acting quote for this particular mission. Also the aces don't show up simultaenously lets say you were so quick to kill 100 shot downs and you yet again did another 100 shot down... the first ace hasn't even showed up yet because of the lengthy quote of that particular ace... and you still wait for yet another quote for the second ace... 20-30 seconds wasted waiting for both to appear and they don't appear near you so you still gotta chase them down to kill them as well....and i forgot when you also kill 100 shot downs you have a quote as well... taking up more time....because your quote takes place before the second ace quotes even begins.... Thus at times I don't even bother chasing ace pilots because they take too long to show up because of this voice acting quotes and what nots... instead I just go for more shot downs to try to gain more time. And then of course face the aces again. Once all aces show up try to kill them all at once often could be a hard task but now you don't have to worry about the voice quotes slowing you down for aces to show since all aces are on the field now and time to just hunt them down...if you feel you don't have enough time always try to get another 100 shot downs to gain more seconds....thus this is a kind of strategy for this particular mission.... But whatever floats your boat it is of course easier to conserve time with pause but you can also use the method I posted above here too. By the way I've updated the missions again at the top for more other missions. Edited by Richie408, Feb 28 2009, 04:35 AM.

err, those "death quotes" you mentioned shows up on the screen as texts too right?,if that's the case then it will be recorded on the mission log/pause menu, what i was asking is a short quote that is a voice only with no text, said during the slow mo death scene......nah forget about that>.<,i'm pretty confused too as for the dialogue time, yes,if you are accustomed to musou games, especially WO you will not be surprised how laggy the script is in the game, mostly not because its slow, but because you are too awesome>.<,kill a couple of aces at the same time and you will hear A.your winquote a couple of times depending on how many you beat and B.the various enemy death quotes not until all those are finished spoken will the next batch of "/enemies/events/tasks/missions" will be added to the map,fortunately,GM2 doesn't press you very hard on mission times, and these dialogues won't affect emergency timers like jaburo or abaoaqu,so i never had problems with the way they did it here, unlike in WO,where the messages will ruin your unlocking treasure/character process..... |

Oh, you mean that one, right? Like some character scream while some others say things like 'damnit' during the slow-mo scene. |

YES,that's it,thank god i'm not crazy! (yet>.<) you should add that to the list of "things that the PS2 version do NOT have" at the FAQ,not very important but nice addition for the next gen owner, plus it does not make PS2 owners scream "the game LAGS!" and "NO SWIMMING & DUELS FOR US?!" KOEI sure knows which part to put away from the game that will effectively fit the disc AND not make the game feel that much different from the next gen version, well done>.< @richie:you were mentioning about ally death in your post, which has no slow mo thing happening, which in turn lead me to think you were not getting my idea,it turns out you do though>.< Edited by wodash, Mar 1 2009, 03:21 AM.
