There's enough bland, serious characters as it is. Koei needs to bring back the bubbly, psycho traits they lost when Kunoichi was removed. Sure, she probably won't be the fictional Kunoichi from SW 1, but if she plays a similar role, perhaps reference to her past as a 'fake' character could provide some form of humour within the game.

Yeah it is all wishful thinking that it is Konuichi. She is far from confirmed. As you say just looking like her is not enough but it is enough to get the hopefulls into action.

Posts: 2,722 Group: Members Member #4,229 Joined: November 17, 2006	i think the smartest thing to do at this point is to NOT go into histrionics about Kunoichi being "back in". this is just one source! i'll say, as i usually do in these cases where folks LOVE to speculate ad-infinitum about one tiny piece of text. let's just wait until Famitsu or KOEI make some sort of statement to confirm or deny this. WHICH, will most likely not happen until Q3-Q4 of this year. unless we can get Mei Ling(or someone else Literary minded) to contact Ms. Bowes, and get a total conformation that Kunoichi is returning as a playable character, otherwise what IS the POINT of speculation. and Krat, for me, i loved Kunoichi's carefree but dangerous swagger and her clever asides. her moveset in SW1 was mid-range and just adequate, but as with any character you love you and get good with(same with Yoshimoto), she had her advantages. in WO and WO2...different story. one of the most BADA** of all the WO crew. strong, tough, awesome R1, officer-killer combos, and knock-them-on-their-ass and run Musou. LOVE the little purple clad barefoot demon to death, but i'd STILL prefer a historical Lady Chiyome that might give a kunoichi some damn justice.

Nene's weapons, appearance, and similar attitude prove it.

Lady Chiyome needs to be part O ren ishii-i, part Elektra(comic version) and part Tank Girl.

Same as Fu Xi and Nu Wa in DW and they have been removed since 3. So, really we can all wish for these characters to come back but more than likely they will not.

I've always thought that the information on Bowes-san taking the role of "Kunoichi" sounded somewhat biased, seeing that Sengoku Musou 3 hasn't announced new updates for the past few months nor any recent seiyuu-casting updates on the game lately. And I too, hope if Ling-san is able to contact and get an interview with Bowes-san.

Though, some, if not many, of the people hoping for Kunoichi do still agree they will probably be given a name, yet still be 'Kunoichi', even if not in name.

I hope it is. To tell you the truth Nene is kinda annoying now. But if Koei wants to bring Kunoichi back into the SW series, then we surely have no problem with that.

I agree. I never said Kunoichi was coming back as a playable character. I said a character named Kunoichi is going to be in the game and will be voiced by G.K. Bowes. However, given that there's character art of a red-clothed ninja girl, that lends credence to the theory. Doesn't necessarily prove it, but it's a reasonable inference to make, especially for those who want the character to come back. I'm just playing Devil's advocate, here. I don't personally care if she comes back or not, though that 2nd outfit made for a nice piece of eye candy.

Most of the other characters are believable to extent but when Koei make up characters they tend to go O.T.T, does that make sense?... Personally I see nothing wrong with Zuo Ci and he is really fun to play with but if you want to be factual Zuo Ci did exist like every other character but he never did what they portray him as what he did in history much like most other characters.
