It seems very smooth from what I've seen, though obviously the battles are all crazy and you have much limited control over your foe like you would do in the normal DW games. In the old games it was easy to judge and guess what to do, but this seems likely not the case. You're going to get stressed and will have things not go your way, a lot. From the little I've experienced and from what I have read on forums.
