I loved A lot of songs in DW5 and there were some great songs in DW6 as well. But overall, I think DW6 has some of the winning songs that beats DW5 and 3 mightn't had.

They had the perfect music to fit the epicness of the stages that they had. Not to mention that DW3 set the precedent for alot of the themes remixed or still used now.

Favorites are: Ancient Heroes Avenging Battle Superior Yellow Storm Swordsman in the Plain I have more favorite, but I don't feel like typing all of them.
	All the tough guys are too easy to fight in WO2, aren't they. Nerfed difficulty is boring.

It would be nice to get it all in one game... But do anybody here know about a hidden song on DW5? Play Zhuge Liang' Musou on hard and play all the stages and clear every scenario, when you get to Wu Zhang Plains, make sure everything goes well... When you get to Sima Yi the song changes into something I never heard of b4, XBox version.

Nothing like going on a carnage spree or a struggle for your life with hard rock music playing in the background. All of them are good, but which one was the best? I love all of the tracks on there including for Empries and Xtreme Legends. My personal favorite is Acid Gang a Go-Go. I don't know why I love that track but it stuck on my very fast.

Whereas with 4, I liked them a lot, and in 5 there were only a few I liked, especially Dual NRG from He Fei Castle. Lastly 6 had some great tracks like Oriental Rush, Welcome to China, Superior and a few others, so I felt it was better compared to 5's. However because of the Dynasty Warriors series music not being consistently fantastic, I'm much more in favor towards the SW series music. That has been consistently good and to my tastes.

As much as I love the DW soundtracks, the main glaring problem I have is the fact that the Chinese instrumentals are shafted in favor of the hard rock riffs in some of them. DW4 to me offered a happy balance in it's tracks. Not to mention, STRUGGLE FOR EXISTENCE, AVENGING BATTLE and IN FULL BLOOM are some of my favorite DW tracks overall. DW2/DW3 is great to listen to for nostalgic memories, but as those ones were the ones that started it all, some of the music lacked some of the drama that would be implemented in later DW games as stories of the characters. Certain tracks like CHASE THE WAVE, MEN OF INTELLIGENCE, and SACRED GROUND are still great tracks by today's DW standard though. DW5... I dunno. Personally, I never really liked it's soundtrack too much. A lot of the tracks on there are really not memorable, and some feel a bit too repetitive. It has IMO the worst selection for the Battles of Guan Du and Chi Bi, though GREAT RED SPIRIT is a nice, fast paced track to slay enemies to. DW Mahjong... do I really need to say? I don't think I should have even bothered to include it here. It's not bad, but it's like listening to elevator music versions of old tracks. Listening to the THEME OF LU BU in this game is actually pretty laughable. Lu Bu has no patience for Mahjong. DW6 is probably my 2nd favorite after DW4. This is the one that really took the hard rock riffs and amped them up so much it's as if they belonged in Guitar Hero or Rock Band. Though the Chinese instrumentals were slightly shafted here, it was an awesome OST to listen to. Some of my favorites are THE BATTLE WITHOUT JUSTICE, FLAME AND RAPIDITY, and SLASH THE DEMON. Overall, my vote on my own poll goes to DW4. Edited by Xalfrea, Jan 22 2009, 04:23 PM.

Posts: 2,736 Group: Members Member #4,229 Joined: November 17, 2006	DW3 and XL are my favorite of the series, it seemed like there was more variation and consistently appropriate tracks, besides being a little less "guitar riffy" which mildly annoys me. DW6 has some really great songs, i love Tropical Wars and Welcome to China. however, that said, for the most part i turn down the volume and listen to my own music. and i agree with LDZ, far and away, i prefer the SW scores.
