New stages could really buff up Yoshimoto, Shingen, Yoshihiro, Kenshin, and Motochika's story modes. Let's say they went with six stages like in DW6, along with split paths like SW1.

Yoshimoto
Stage 1: Battle of Mimasetoge, Imagawa/Takeda Vs. Hojo
Stage 2: Battle of Azukizaka, Imagawa Vs. Oda/Saito
Stage 3: Battle of Okehazama, Imagawa Vs. Oda (SPLIT PATH STAGE)
---Prevented Matsudaira Motoyasu's Defection
Stage 4: Battle for the Capital, Imagawa/Ashikaga Vs. Miyoshi/Rokkaku/Tsutsui/Asakura/Azai
Stage 5: Battle of Yamazaki, Imagawa Vs. Mouri
Stage 6: Showdown at Anegawa, Imagawa/Takeda Vs. Oda/Saito/Uesugi/Asakura/Azai
---Failed to Prevent Motoyasu's Defection
Stage 4: Battle of Mikatagahara, Imagawa Vs. Takeda
Stage 5: Siege of Kakegawa Castle, Imagawa Vs. Tokugawa
Stage 6: Defense of Odawara Castle, Imagawa/Hojo Vs. Takeda/Uesugi

In effect, once Okehazama rolls around, you have a chance to convince Ieyasu to not defect to Nobunaga's side. If you succeed, Yoshimoto defeats the Oda and moves on to fight the Miyoshi and other clans of Central Japan for the capital, saving the Shogun in the process. After settling in the capital as the Shogunate's protector, the Mouri move east to contest that position, and the two sides clash at Yamazaki. After routing the Mouri, Yoshimoto gets word that the Mouri's attack was afeint, and a Saito-led coalition had used the opportunity to take much of the Imagawa's lands to the east. Yoshimoto hurries east and battles the vastly greater coalition at Anegawa, but is rescued by the Takeda attacking the coalition from behind. Upon defeating them, Yoshimoto is named as the new Shogun.

If you fail to stop Ieyasu's defection, Yoshimoto is defeated at Okehazama, but barely survives and escapes back to Suruga. Here, his struggle is steep, as Shingen cuts off their alliance to take advantage of Yoshimoto's weakness. Yoshimoto attempts to fight off Shingen at Mikatagahara, and is supported by Hojo Ujiyasu and the sudden defection of his son-in-law Takeda Yoshinobu. However, he is driven back to Kakegawa Castle where the newly named Tokugawa Ieyasu, in an agreement with Shingen, sieges the castle. After surviving that ordeal, Yoshimoto, Ujizane and Yoshinobu are allowed safe passage to the Hojo lands, and they help the Hojo defend Odawara Castle from a joint Takeda and Uesugi assault. Afterwards, Yoshimoto lives his life quietly as he no longer has any power, and instead focuses on family and, of course, kemari.

Shingen
Stage 1: Siege of Ueda Castle, Takeda Vs. Shinano Coalition
Stage 2: Battle of Kawanakajima, Takeda Vs. Uesugi
Stage 3: Siege of Odawara Castle, Takeda Vs. Hojo
Stage 4: Battle of Mimasetoge, Takeda Vs. Hojo
Stage 5: Battle of Mikatagahara, Takeda Vs. Tokugawa (SPLIT PATH STAGE)
---Did Not Allow a Single Tokugawa Officer to Escape
Stage 6: Battle of Komaki-Nagakute, Takeda Vs. Oda
---Allowed Tokugawa Officers to Escape
Stage 6: Battle of Nagashino, Takeda Vs. Oda

At Mikatagahara, if you do not allow Ieyasu, Tadakatsu, or any other Tokugawa officer to escape to Hamamatsu Castle, Shingen will accept Ieyasu's surrender and continue his march west immediately, and strike at the Oda at Komaki-Nagakute. Upon winning here, the path to the capital is clear and Shingen will lay claim to the entire land.

If you allow an officer to escape, Shingen will be wounded by Hanzo, and retreat back to Kai. He later attempts to march again, but is faced by the Oda/Tokugawa at Nagashino. Here, the bumbling of Katsuyori, whom Shingen allowed to lead the main army, costs the lives of many Takeda soldiers, and Shingen must do what he can to pick up the pieces and keep his surviving men alive. He then passes away after the battle, lamenting the future of the Takeda.

Yoshihiro
Stage 1: Battle of Mimigawa, Shimazu Vs. Otomo
Stage 2: Battle of Okitanawate, Shimazu Vs. Ryuzoji
Stage 3: Battle of Hetsugigawa, Shimazu Vs. Toyotomi
Stage 4: Siege of Odawara, Toyotomi Vs. Hojo/Date
Stage 5: Battle of Sekigahara, Western Army Vs. Eastern Army (SPLIT PATH STAGE)
---Kobayakawa Does not Defect
Stage 6: Mayhem in Kyushu, Shimazu Vs. Tachibana Vs. Kato Vs. Kobayakawa
---Kobayakawa Defects
Stage 6: The Escape to Kyushu, Western Army Remnants Vs. Eastern Army/Date

At Sekigahara, if you prevent Kobayakawa from defecting, he joins the Western Army in defeating Ieyasu, whom retreats to Edo. While the main Western Army contingent pursues him, Yoshihiro and the Shimazu return to Kyushu with the excuse of going to deal with the Eastern Army forces there. Instead, Yoshihiro takes advantage of the situation to finish his conquest, and attacks both Kato Kiyomasa and the Eastern forces, and the various Western Army troops there as well. Ginchiyo and Muneshige arrive suddenly, realizing what Yoshihiro was doing, and attack both him and the Eastern army as well. Even later Kobayakawa and Konishi Yukinaga are sent by Mitsunari to deal with the chaos. Once Yoshihiro defeats them all, Kyushu is firmly in his grasp.

If Kobayakawa does defect at Sekigahara, Yoshihiro, along with Toyohisa, Ukita Hideie, Konishi Yukinaga, and other survivors must escape from Sekigahara. Upon reaching Osaka Bay(Kizugawaguchi) they find a massive army waiting for them, and Yoshihiro must break through to survive.

Battle starts with Matsudaira Hirotada agreeing to send a carriage with his son(the future Ieyasu) in it as a hostage to Yoshimoto in return for Yoshimoto's help in fending off the Oda. The first mission for the Oda side is to help Toda Yasumitsu capture the carriage. Once captured, Nobuhide will attempt to force Hirotada into surrendering, but it fails. The Imagawa vanguard arrives, and the majority of the Oda army moves to attack. After the vanguard is defeated, Nobuhide makes a comment about his men being the Seven Spears of Azukizaka, and the Oda army begin to move towards Okazaki Castle. At this point Taigen Sessai will ambush the Oda with the main Imagawa force, and Yoshimoto will also arrive. The Oda's next mission is to rescue the majority of the Seven Spears of Azukizaka, and then Nobuhide will send for help from Saito Dosan. The messenger must be protected from another Imagawa ambush. If it succeeds in leaving, Dosan, Nouhime and Yoshitatsu will arrive to assist the Oda, and this will be the first meeting of Nobunaga and Nouhime.

The Oda must defeat Yoshimoto or take Okazaki Castle, and the Imagawa must defeat both Oda Nobuhide and Saito Dosan if he arrives.

We need to expand more on Osaka, as well as more battles leading up Sekigahara, ie Fushimi Castle. Bring back the Honnganji Wars. A seperate battle to show the destruction of the Asakura, not at Odani.

I hope that the Siege/Defense of Inabayama (Gifu) Castle comes back in SW3! (Not Gifu Infiltration, Inabayama Castle!) The castle is my favorite castle, namely because there are bomb-filled traps everywhere, that I constantly evade but like to watch blow up. Also, the song is one of my favorites (for me, it ties with Okehazama SW1 version song)! And Noh's sibling rivalry background intensifies the story even more. I wish that the Siege of Inabayama Castle would reprise.

Personally i would LOVE to have Hideyasu Yuki in the next game, he seemed to be alot like yukimura sanada in the way that he would serve different clans every now and then. Starting off with his father Ieyasu Tokugawa.

Not only was he in some of the battles already in the later SW games but he is also in alot of other battles which Koei could make.

at odawara, yoshitsugu would work in the west front with mitsunari
later,in the korean campaigns,he would become a friend of mitsunari
rescue of mitsunari:same scheme as keiji and yukimura at sw2.but yoshitsugu would talk to mitsunari only
sekigahara:the battle would be dramatic for the west.yoshitsugu advises mitsunari to retreat to mt sawa, because he has a plan.mitsunari, sakon and his son yoshikatsu would retreat.then, hideie ukita, yoshitsugu, musashi, teruzumi, toyohisa, and yoshihiro would face off against ieyasu
defense of sawayama:even though winning at sekigahara(ieyasu would be the winner even if you defeat him),ieyasu could not finish off mitsunari.he leaves hidetada at edo castle with some troops, and comes to attack mitsunari at mt sawa.after sekigahara, everyone thought yoshitsugu was dead.when mitsunari is besieged, and the mori begin their attack, yoshitsugu appears.it would be a battle of rescuing units.ieyasu will be dead if you win.the last battle and the dream, i'll say tomorrow.with the 6 battles formation

Nice idea, but please don't double post. By the way, I don't think Korea will be added since it is still viewed as controversial.

I think Korea might be added jut in the in-game Encyclopdia or something.

Even if there is then I doubt there will be much of it shown in the story.

The Korean Campaign will not be added because Korea still holds grudges against Japan to this day due to Japan's history of harsh treatment towards Korea. All of which stem from Hideyoshi's campaign. Its even forbidden to have portrayals of Samurai in the Korean media. Including a campaign where the player must slaughter Koreans as a Japanese Samurai would be a real slap in the face to many Koreans, so that idea is out.

Siege of Otsu Castle - Tachibana-Mori vs. Kyogoku

Characters (who would appear, not necessarily have the stage in Story mode): Muneshige, Ginchiyo, Hanzo, Ina

Background: This battle was fought prior to Sekigahara. Western Army led by Muneshige and Mori Motoyasu (he could be replaced by Ginchiyo, however) were victorious against Kyogoku Takatsugu's forces. The victory came too late, however, as the battle in Sekigahara had already begun.

Notes: Since it would be lame to have Muneshige and Ginchiyo fight against a bunch of generics, Hanzo and Ina should join the Eastern Army and skip Sekigahara. Historically, Kyogoku Takatsugu used a ninja to mock Western Army forces and create confusion in their ranks. Hanzo could take that role.

Battle of Mimasetoge - Takeda vs. Hojo

Characters: Ujiyasu, Kotaro, Shingen, Yukimura, Sakon

Background: The Takeda forces were ambushed by Hojo troops in Mimasetoge pass. Thanks to the efforts of Baba Nobufusa and Yamagata Masakage, Takeda won the battle.

Notes: I'm actually expecting to see this battle, considering that one of the storylines is Kantou 3 Kingdoms which obviously means we're going to see more Takeda, Uesugi and Hojo battles in SW3.

Battle of Azukizaka (2nd) - Imagawa vs. Oda (Nobuhide)

Characters: Yoshimoto, Nobunaga

Background: All I know is that the battle place in Mikawa prefecture and it was Oda Nobuhide's last battle. Imagawa led by Yoshimoto's uncle Taigen Sessai were victorious

Notes: In this stage, Yoshimoto could appear as arrogant and powerful warlord who underastimates his opponents.

what i promised yesterday...
fifth stage:siege of edo castle:story:at the battle of mt sawa(during)sakon and keiji would be slain.after the battle, the western army, even without sakon and keiji, manages to get the upper hand.but, mitsunari gets ill,and die.in sawa, ginchiyo would retreat due to injury, and would also die.hidetada tokugawa, knowing of that, makes the uesugi and shimazu surrender, and destroys the toyotomi at osaka.but, yoshitsugu is not done, neither hideyori's son, kaggemmaru.he forms a coalition, between toyotomi remnants and the otani army, and goes to edo to face hidetada

the dram would be based at the battle of kuzegawa, but ieyasu would come with hidetada and his forces, and when you win,he will be slain together with hidetada.now, the formation for odawara and mitsunari's rescue:
odawara(west):hideyoshi toyotomi,nene,mitsunari ishida,sakon shima,keiji maeda,kanetsugu naoe,yoshitsugu otani and yukimura sanada.reinforcements:kanbei kuroda
hojo:ujimasa hojo,ujifusa hojo,ujimitsu hojo,naosada hojo,ujinori uesugi,ujitada hojo,ujitaka hojo,naoshige chiba,norisada ueda,yasusato matsuda,kotaro fuma.
conditions:defeat ujimasa and protect hideyoshi
in my game, ujiteru and ujinao would be commanding the east part of the castle.so the hojo won't have reinforcements
rescue of mitsunari:the same of sw2,just add yoshitsugu.the conditions are:mitsunari reaches the escape point.mitsunari or yoshitsugu is defeated

tomorrow,i'll bring sekigahara and mt sawa

Siege of Tottori and/or Takamatsu Castle - Oda (under Hideyoshi's command) vs. Mori.

Going to be surprised if we don't see them. Especially if the rumour about Mori Motonari being playable or UNPC turns out to be true. Other characters who could have the stage: Hideyoshi (duh), Kanbei, Kiyomasa, Mitsunari + Masanori and possibly Hanbei could also make an appearance (in case he's UNPC).

hideie ukita shigezane date
danemon ban yoshiaki mogami
reinforcements: yoshiyasu mogami
harunaga ono hideyasu yuki
harufusa ono toshitsune maeda

kanetsugu naoe
chikanori suibara
mototada kasuga
kagemochi amakasu
conditions:victory:first:defeat tadayo okubo to seize edo castle
second:defeat hidetada
defeat:yoshitsugu or yoshikatsu is defeated
you may think...wow,you have the same idea of musashi last stage.how original!
mine is different.in this storyline, both yukimura and musashi would die at osaka,as well as hideyori.but kaggemaru toyotomi survives.then, yoshitsugu, the last opposition of the tokugawa, asks kaggemaru to give him the last remnants of the toyotomi.then,he asks hideie ukita and morichika chosokabe for aid.hideie accepts immediately, but morichika has his doubts.kaggemaru gives yoshitsugu the toyotomi remnants, and tells him to make the best.in battle, edo is not so guarded, but you have few allies.hideie and yoshitsugu will attack from the north, and yoshikatsu and danemon will guard the south.although that, the beginning is easy.just open the gatesand defeat tadayo in edo castle.then, yoshikatsu will realocate to edo's main keep.when you think all is okay, hidetada's army surround edo.even thought you now have harunaga, harufusa and morichika,it will be difficult.after that, kiyomasa shows up.just help him enter the castle, and don't lose many allies.when you defeat both ina and masamune, the north garrison, where hidetada is,will open.just go and defeat him.the 2 tokugawa reinforcements above ina are hidetada and masamune.after edo, kaggemaru will be shogun, but yoshitsugu will finally die, meaning the end of what i call "the six warriors of honor",who are mitsunari ishida, sakon shima, kanetsugu(who you kill in battle),yukimura, keji and yoshitsugu.yoshikatsu will become the shogun advisor
