These are all based on first day sales of Warriors games in Japan in particular console. Musou Orochi (PS2) 284,000 copies Musou Orochi: Maou Sairin (PS2) 132,000 copies Musou Orochi Z (PS3) 79,000 copies ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gundam Musou (PS3) 117,000 copies Gundam Musou 2 (PS3) 106,000 copies It's dropped but the figure is still nice, since this is WO1+WO2, I think they still made profits. Less PS3s in the market = less game sales That and the WO crossover novelty seems to be wearing out. KOEI Japan needs to focus on unique titles like SF or focused improvement(s) to existing series to pick up more sales. |

Well, Z is pretty much meant for people who never played WO or WO2. And since only fans of Warriors series buy these games and most of them happen to own previous titles, it's not surprising that some fans are not going to bother with Z. |

Thats actually pretty decent, considering it's on the PS3, which as we must not forget, is still a fairly expensive console for a lot of people. Oh and there's also the whole "blah blah already own WO1 & WO2 blah blah". |

If you consider all the facts allready stated and that it´s just the first day (are the imports counted two?  ) it really is a nice number.They surely made profit, since they hadn´t much work making it. I hope that speeds up the US/EU release. I would say, that a lot of non-japanese games will buy WOZ. There are the Warriors fans from previous generations and buy every Warriors game that comes out and the ones who look out for new Hack´n slash games. Also, siince there are a lot of PS3 gamers who played and liked DW6, a lot of whom never played a Warriors title before, now look out for a new game like this. And there are a lot of Warriors fans who played WO, but sold their PS2 to get the PS3 and were never able to play WO2 or didn´t play get to play a single WO game. Also the PS3 gets more and more popular in Europe. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7386879.stm So KOEI, everything speaks for a release soon, since there are not that many games coming out in April/May for the next gen consoles..(at least as far as I know) |

Not bad, all things considered. Hopefully this will reassure them that a non-japanese release may work. Maybe they'll make a 360 port as well, since they're more popular in the west. |

Yeah! That is exactly the point.  I'm the fan of some warriors game (Dynasty, Samurai and Warriors Orochi series only. Since I have not try the others yet). But just that PS3 is still expensive and the games too (We have to buy the original disc. We can't use pirated disc).  Still, let's just see the situation in years to come. Just like PS2, which is very cheap now.On the other hand, there are only a few characters like Benkei and Sanzang Fashi and worst still, there are NO new stages too. People like new things. Just like in WO2. But still can consider some new format.  As we all know, the game has been canceled by KOEI. So we only have to play WO2 in PSP which that is the only thing that we can play both Benkei and Sanzang Fashi and the new Dream Mode Stages too. We have to start all over again!!!!!
