DWG2 Trophies; heard the english version would have it

The English version will and the japanese version will just have an update for it. Is this one of your many things you are looking forward to in this game? I did not play ths 1st one but i will give this one a try seeing its better than the 1st, its a gundam game and its a koei game w. trophies

I believe GTA IV is a good example of something like this.... As for the achievements and trophies being identical in the US release I really have no clue on this.... I do know the Japan release already had achievement points....via japanese xbox360.... But this time around PS3 is getting a fresh new set of things such as online vs mode which I believe is partially why there is a 2 particular different trophy points or possible achievement point changing for the xbox360 version of the game too...because it also as well will have Online vs mode play.... And the trophies i'm talking about is the Ace points... which I'm thinking just what does that mean exactly.... My view for now is it is the amount of ace kills you do during missions or the amount of people you beat in Online vs mode..... so yeah in some sense it may have nothing to do with online vs mode.... or the other end it might.... but who knows the points require up to 500.... so it could be quite reasonable that this is how many aces you beat throughout the game..... and 500 matches online is a bit much but i've seen them do something like that before.... oh well... The game is still awesome with or without these trophies/achievement points. As I've already played the japanese version to death and enjoyed pretty much all aspects of it. If not they seem kinda pointless

If not they seem kinda pointless It doesn't give you anything (for what I know) but in a way it increases replayability, it encourages you to try to complete the game 100% like in RE5, you get trophies for upgrading all your weapons, play on different difficulty etc! Right General Posts: 659 Group: Members Member #20,283 Joined: January 5, 2009 Gender Male	Because the MA one is a repeat version off the xbox360 achievement description. the ace point thing is something totally new and may be just for ps3 and i don't think that is the full extent of the description probably something the site just created for the time being. but i've seen ace points in other games related as shot downs if you play like super robot wars...or supahhh roboto taisen they consider shooting down aces as ace points. but they kinda count in any thing they shoot down.... but specifically already there is shot down of how many suits already as a trophy if you noticed... so i guess it is specific to just aces being killed. And by all means there is plenty of aces in the game to shoot down through missions it's quite reasonable for this to occur. every category is already covered in the game which all that is left is the online vs mode if it isn't that. Like you said trophies wouldn't be needed if you really enjoy the game but it sorta gives you a sense of achievement for doing extra things as far as gaming is concerned so I don't see problems in collecting trophies, it's just like collecting stamps in a way! It's possible because for US/UK this is the first Warriors game with trophies so more people might become interested in DWG2 and Koei other games. Like Nene used to say, "the more the merrier"! I'm not going to go out of my way to get games for trophies or for the trophies themselves. I will try to obtain them for the games that I really love though. Something SW2 could have used, IMO, as I could have played that game so much longer than I did if there was at least something to strive for... but I digress.

That's essentially what's good about trophies to me, they extend playtime by giving you challenges to complete. I enjoyed trying to complete every mission in SW1 (and the bonus point reward in XL was nice too), so I'm interested in how KOEI will use this opportunity for this and future Warriors games. After checking the link, the list for this game looks a lot better than the trophy list for MOZ. Hopefully there'll be a trend towards trophy lists similar to this game rather than MOZ for KOEI...

I've spent more than 100 hours in the game that's why I'm not willing to spend another 100 to get trophies lol I just hope they can read my save and give me the trophies that I already did their requirements

Right General Posts: 659 Group: Members Member #20,283 Joined: January 5, 2009 Gender Male	My thoughts of the japanese ones getting the trophies will vary depending on the trophy requirements of the Ace pilot thing... if that is an online based situation for the online vs mode... I'm not sure the japanese version will get it... since then they sorta would need the online vs mode... or it is possible they just take those trophy requirements out of it for a japanese version patch... Another view like I stated earlier was the requirement is just for killing aces during your game and somehow they tally it up cumulatively in this sense then it would be much easier to make a patch for the japanese release. Who knows there's many ways to look at it.

You see, after any mission they show how many Aces you shot down... For a gold trophy, getting that much is acceptable I think. Well, as for the online thingy... I'm not sure since the JPN version doesn't have online, I don't think they'd ignore JPN gamers like that and put a trophy for online. Just my opinion though.

Another reason why SW1 is superior IMO, but I digress. If Ace Points are for online wins, then that's absurdly high. Better just be reffering to normal in game officers/aces.
