Was anybody ever able to make clear expression renders of the DW8/SW4 portraits like we have for 7 & SW3? Can't seem to find any of them anywhere :tora:

I liked Ding Jun a lot too. The first time there were actual mountains to climb, and then jump off!

I just wish the jump-climbing from Empires was in the vanilla game
especially for maps like Wuzhang

I remember only playing like two or three maps cause they were just so difficult to navigate. They were so maze like, with cliffs and **** that I always got lost. Wuzhang especially.

Cliffing climbing helped with base raids so much.

I wish they'd bring back DW4:E's taunts. Post-DW5:E's have been horrible if at all in the game.

I liked that one stage in DW6.... I think it was Shiting. I remember it being like the only stage Xiaoqiao appeared in for some reason.

Yeah having to go around the whole map just to get up to one platform was a little irritating. I remember the Wuzhang / Guan Du map having one base that you had to go up a specific path and then cross a bridge to get to. I always skipped that one.

I love the campaign against Yuan Shu stage though. All that water was very beautiful. I was disappointed when DW8 didn't utilize water anymore.

Swimming to Zhuge Liang's altar to kill him at Chi Bi was fun too, as well as riding the boats and shooting people from them with SSX.

I remember I wanted to be able to steer the boats so bad. It would have been great if you could use a small boat like a horse instead of having to swim slowly.

Shiting was fun.

DW6 Chen Gong was classic in his mannerisms.

I think DW6 is what made Gongtai shoot up so far in the popularity polls

Of course him being the second best character in the Three Kingdoms drama remake didn't hurt either

Shiting :hehe:

will never not be funny

DW6 would've been so great if most of the roster weren't clones. There weren't that many stages, but that would've been generally okay if every character was unique. That was its one glaring flaw. Everything else was fine.

But you went from a large roster of characters with all unique movesets to a smaller roster of characters where more than half of them had the same moveset. Hard to get over that.

also, the combat itself could've been a little less...repetitive. But I could look past that. Still, it was funny that DW6 turned the franchise into a literal button masher everyone criticized it for being. At that point it was hard to say "you just don't know what you're doing". Cause like....the whole system was designed around mashing one of two buttons continuously.

I think it's a bit telling that the playable Chen Gong is actually quite similar in mannerisms and personality to DW6 Chen Gong.

Koei knew what everyone liked. They were paying attention.

Sony pressured them into releasing DW6 way too early. It needed at least another 6 months of development if not a year, but Sony wanted a Sangoku Musou on the PS3 for the holiday season iirc.

If it had more development time it would have come out with all the declined characters from Empires from the get-go

How so?

I've never had an Xbox. I didn't notice any problems with the PS3 version and I played the hell out of it.

Stone Ocean is probably the least liked JoJo part.

I really liked it, Jolyne is really cool.

I thought Aureo Vento was the least liked? And I think the most liked is a tie between Diamond Is Not Crash and SBR

Stone Ocean was alright but I hated the ending. I didn't like how after Part 4 every cast had to have the standard white mage healer character, it just made all the injuries the team sustained seem insignificant.

Vento Aureo is pretty popular cause homolust.

And yeah most of the Stone Ocean hate comes from the ending. Not that I hated it, but it sure as hell was very...lacking.

But Araki saved the day by making based Stell Ball Run.
And I love JoJolion cause Gappy.
