I had an initial check a few or so years ago and waited for the results. It was like the quickest phone call ever with her telling me I wasn't when I got the results. Then like 5-6 months ago I had another check. I found out I still wasn't in the zone of being diabetic, but it had risen. The way I see it, I may have not been entirely accurate with my first presumption that I was years ago, but I was still thinking along the right line. And another way to view it is that you will probably discover things the deeper you look. In anybody. Essentially the mysteries of science and there being a reason for it, that it's not an impossibility to figure out. |

My diet has never been bad, but not amazing either. I don't think I had changed my eating habits from my first test to my next. To be honest you'd likely find anyone has the chance to increase your chances with time, but that applies to anybody and wouldn't be a special case for you like he might be making it out to be. |

The people who are protesting that Pan's "Tiger Lily" should have been cast by a Native American or Pacific Islander actress are all retarded. You can't really peg an ethnicity on a vague, fictional character from a fantasy world, and doing so is ironically stereotyping and racist. |

1940's Disney weren't exactly shady with their racist undertones or stereotypes though hah. I don't buy the "fantasy world" cop out excuse it reminds me of "Jade and Tanya aren't black they're Edenian" |

Why does Pan necessarily have to be a prequel to the animated Disney Peter Pan and not the original story/novel/play?
It's laughable when people are criticizing Pan for this when many throughout the movie are black or Asian, including at least two major ones (Smee and one of the main Blackbeard pirates). Edited by Rance, Mon Oct 12, 2015 10:09 pm.

The original story was even worse for the racist stereotypes though Just wait, somewhere the internet is exploding over many "white" characters not being so. |

I'm conflicted about it. On the one hand I understand it was a really great opportunity for representation like with that live version of the Peter Pan play on NBC. On the other, the Piccaninnies are presented as a multiethnic tribe without any real Native American influence but rather vague "tribal" influence like the Nanmans in DW in this particular take on the lore, which I suppose is one way to avoid stereotyping Native Americans as a whole. So idk. |

Here's what I don't understand. Let's say there is a tribe of people. Why couldn't they theoretically be white? What does their skin color have to do with their customs or way of life? Am I to assume that there have been no Caucasian people in history who practiced tribe like customs or that there can feasibly be no Caucasian people in a fantasy world who do so? Ironically, the tribe in the movie is actually multiethnic, featuring asian people, white people and black people all in one tribe if I'm remembering correctly. I think the criticism is retarded. It basically implies that a person who dresses a certain way and acts a certain way has to be a Native American. That's stereotypical and racist, imo, moreso than the supposed "whitewashing" that the director did by choosing a white actress to play the role. I mean, they could have cast a Native American as any of the characters. They could have just decided to cast a very capable Native American actor as Hook or Peter or any of the pirates or tribal warriors. Edited by Rance, Mon Oct 12, 2015 10:16 pm.

The only "whitewashing" that was retarded was the one that happened in The Last Airbender. But that was still just one of many many mistakes in that wreck of amovie. |

Um, Rance, have you ever read the novel? Tiger Lily Is native american, not white, shes described as such in the novel, her tribe is even named after piccaninny, a rather odd name to attach to a tribe of white people. Almost everything regarding Tiger Lily and her tribe has always been pretty racist, the movie had a chance to rectify it, they instead chose to be racist agian and caught fire because of it, fair is fair. |

Last Airbender yeah, also The Hunger Games. Katniss' skin colour was mentioned in passing a few times in the books, she was not white. But the internet was too focused on Rue being black (despite her being so in the books) |

My diet/habits suck. Only thing I've changed is not drinking soda. The doctors will continue to warn you about it well into later years, generally increasing the closer you get to 40. So yea, it could be a general warning based on age/weight averages, but at some point you'll want to consider certain changes. I'm still struggling with that
