My latest drawing (go here for full size if the board layout shrinks the image). I listened to so much New Wave while drawing this. Oh how I love the '80s.
Wow thats awesome  :XD

I don't know why but I feel bad buying used DS/3DS games that have previous saves on them. No idea who those two were, but sorry I had to delete your Phantom Hourglass saves.

Man I totally know that feeling. I just get chills thinking of deleting a save data file in general. There were too many times when I was a kid when some shithead would delete another kid's file. I remember this kid in elementary school who was ******* bawling when somebody deleted his dozens of hours playthrough of Dragon Warrior Monsters.

I still remember one time I was playing Neopets. I went up to go to the bathroom while I was in the computer lab and some ******* friend I had at the time put my amazing flaming chomby up for adoption. **** that guy!

But yeah, I have the same aversion with deleting used game files. Like I know that those people are never going to touch the game again but it just feels awkward to delete somebody's work. Every game needs to have like 99 slots for saves. The worst is the way Pokemon does it.

Thanks for the awesome compliments! :)

@Ryo Genken - Getting to this point took me YEARS, even after formal art education in high school. Go look back in my deviantArt gallery and see where I was when I got into fan art some years ago. Just keep trucking and work on improving with each piece.

Don't bother. If you're not in the mood to play something, forcing yourself is the worst. If money is tight then that's understandable, but I'd say just play what you want to at any given time and leave other stuff unfinished. If you're not having fun and instead just filling out a checklist of games completed, what's the point?

i mean I do want to play and beat those games

I just...I dunno, when I sit down to play one im just thinking about the others...

its a stupid problem. A problem created by having too many options and not enough time. First world-iest of first world problems.

That's the way I see it. I got bored of Fallout 4 before actually beating it, and I'm currently having fun (punctuated with occasional cursing at being one-shotted) with Crashlands on my phone. Zero $!@#s given. I can always get back to the wasteland later on.

Don't worry, it's a universal gamer problem. That's why sites like backloggery and so on exist.

I get bored and quit games 1/4 to halfway through quite often myself. Sometimes it makes me feel guilty but if you're not feeling it...forcing yourself is as bad as doing actual work.

If you got something else on your mind, I think it's usually best to just go for it and have fun. You might even come back to the old games later (sometimes even years later) to finish them up.

Yeah, I research games to get some sense of whether I want to play them. I knew that Fallout 4 wouldn't have the writing quality of New Vegas, which was done by another developer, but I wanted that Pip-Boy edition because I love New Vegas so very much and therefore my brain has this urge to collect swag related to the series. However, I was also fooled by the E3 show into thinking that it would be a comprehensive leap forward as opposed to Fallout 3.5. All in all, I'm glad I bought the game, and I've had enough fun with it, but meh.

Crashlands was an impulse buy after going on Metacritic for phone games and wondering why this new one had such a high score. Totally worth the $5 so far and I'm only halfway through it.

I'm still not done with Yakuza 3. It was one of my first PS3 games, and I was having a blast with it thanks to the amazing combination of quality writing, surreal gameverse crack, and River City Ransom style beat 'em up wackiness. But of course I got distracted because that's how I roll, yo. (Probably by Heavy Rain, which was equal parts surprisingly effective and hella overrated.)

Yakuza 5 my first Yakuza game, im so bad and getting into series, always start with a late game just because

got yakuza 5 in particular cause i loved the look of Yakuza 0, I want to play that game so bad, and wanted to get into the series and support the localisation so they could localise the remake of the first one. I REALLY want Ishin localised cause that one looks the coolest to me ( i am samurai trash)

I got Yakuza 4 from a local discount place on impulse. 4 years ago. Still haven't cracked it open. Shameful backlog is shameful.

Starring Silent Hill games would be awesome. I couldn't even beat the first two in that series. I loved them. I just couldn't do it. Here, let me share my years-old shame for everyone's amusement.

Silent Hill - lost my nerve right before that lizard boss. I saw friends play through that, knew how to beat it. I just couldn't.

Silent Hill 2 - friend forced me to play it in the dark. I had gotten through the parts up to that in full daylight with other background noise. Special bonus lulz - I was playing on beginner (give me a break - I was new to this OMG 3D stuff) and had tons of ammo and whatnot. Didn't do jack diddly to soothe my nerves. At least I got through enough of the game to appreciate how good it is.

I actually completed Silent Hill 3 - primarily because I was at a party with friends around to make background noise and cheer me on. Yay?

Ah, the movie. I went to see it because I was desperate to get out of the house after spending the last two days stuck at home due to getting my wisdom teeth out. I was so excited because I could open my mouth enough to get real food, and I figured that Silent Hill would be a fun excuse to get pancakes with my friends beforehand.

I'm not sure how well I anticipated the depths of its dreadfulness, but - wow.

Silver lining - a year later, we pirated the movie when one of my best friends was in town from several states over, and I made a most excellent drinking game that ended with everyone mooning the TV.
