that sounds a lot like what the second dlc did, with the whole level changing once you turned the fire on
thats one of the things i liked the most about it, felt like a dark souls style zelda dungeon.

I remember seeing videos of that blizzard area, it really did not look like it was very enjoyable

Thats a cool idea for the boss, i remember pre release b team talked a lot about the idea they had for encountering bosses outside of their arena and being able to have different fights with them which is a reat idea but they obviously coudnt execute it, they only really did it with pursuer iirc and it wasnt very interesting
I remember in a video they said the chariot boss would chase you through an entire level and then youd fight it at the end, that never made it into the game lol

One thing the 3rd DLC definitely didn't need to add was Bonewheels 2.0

Now with added tracking. Much slower, but that almost makes them worse, as they won't slide past you at all.

I still want to play DaS2 because Emerald Herald looks cute.
... but I still haven't finished either DaS or Bloodborne and I haven't even touched DeS so I probably shouldn't even have such thoughts...

Bonewheels 2.0
Bonewheels 1.0 is horrifying enough, I don't want to imagine 2.0....

i remember pre realeas people made jokes about ds2 having "Bonehweel skeletons: the boss" and then that actually was a boss in the game

They did it with Sinh in the end as well in a respect. When entering the area as a whole he's right there, and he also clears one bridge of enemies the first time you approach it.

Similar to how Kalameet and Hellkite worked I guess, but he more actively got involved.

No fight of course. Closest to that would be NG+ Freja.

My favorite experience is just watching people kill themselves when they get summoned on my Doors of Pharos.

eh, idk sinh was kinda just an enviroemental hazard
i like it, it creates buildup which is good, but i just loved the idea fo a whole level of the chariot chasing you that sounds like a lot of fun, its still one of my favourite bosses in the vanilla game

Seriously those ******* (and the damn Black Knight that popped out of nowhere) were ten times more trouble than Pinwheel.

... Hell I killed Pinwheel my first try and the summoned hammer dude died right away at the start of the fight. Bonewheels confirmed TRUE boss fight.

I know he is his VA. But i talk from humanization perspective, Kami. Nick is legitimately the only anthro character i find really hard to be humanized, yeah...he's better off as a fox. I'm already a furry trash because of him...though i've been pondering about whether i'm a part of it or not.

Yeah, the idea of that does sound cool. Not sure what kind of level they'd be able to have designed where it could actually happen though.

And as I edited into my last post once I remembered, NG+ Freja is actually a really cool encounter. She just crawls up the cliff before the first bit with spiders, a bit before the Undead Congregation boss, and the damage you do there does stick around for her actual fight. The fight is rather basic, but it is different to her main fight.

Cool it man, I just said I think she looks cute, are you gonna keelhaul me because I think the doll is cute too?

Like do you really think that's the ONLY reason I want to play it?

Daidouji is the reason you play Sneran or Uppers. If not i dont think you'll bat an eye of both games. I remember you said something if not for Daidouji you wont play Senran because of how fetishizing it is.

why in the world would you talk about a game like that in public unless you were like at an anime con or something and talking to fellow fans

I remember the first time experiencing that Freja ambush. I was almost dying to the torch and pickaxe peasants at the door when suddenly a huge spider leg crashed down near me. Didn't experience that kind of shock anywhere else in the game, because obviously by NG+ you think you know what you're in for, so I wasn't prepared for that. Definitely a nice way to mess with expectations alright.

Speaking of Freja, she became a joke in Scholar. Spiders are now afraid of fire. If you are happy to fight her one handed you can genuinely ignore all the spiders and just carry a torch. They'll not bother you and you're free to murder Freja with no problems.

yeah, thats exactly what makes it so great. I really loved DS2's NG+ system and bonfire ascetic, its such a great idea, outside of the dumb farming aspects to it.

Thats dumb Freja is like, ony of the few multi enemy bosses i didnt mind.
